Yes I talked to various people, including the guy himself. I do agree that it was a bit wrong of her but we've gotten everything worked out.
Oh by the way since you put effort into your reply I feel like you deserve a "status update" or whatever. Turns out that I'm a reaaaaalllly dumb person and didn't know that the guy is gay and couldn't find a date, and since he and my girlfriend are good friends she went with him out of the kindness of her heart. No trouble in paradise, haha.

How is what you did any different than what he did @.@? You got the last word in the argument, took one last jab, and moved on. I mean I'm not trying to debate anything or start something, I'm just genuinely confused as to the fundamental difference in your actions and his.
