    Guess ya got lucky and it advanced a bit extra. Remember, when you calibrated you got frame 6 and the advance from the journal happened that time, too.

    weird, because when you use it as part of calibration counting it and deducting it from the number of flips you have to do gives you the wrong frame.

    for instance:

    - you have a captured monster on the 1st page
    - you calibrate to frame 4
    - your target frame is 8

    you need to advance the frame by 4 ...

    a) so you do 1 flip because you count the fact that there was already a roamer?
    b) you do 2 flips because the calibration to frame 4 already counted that page.

    (the answer should be B)

    what darkchaos told you was completely wrong. the directions say to not count the first page on a flip and they are exactly right. dont count it as a flip for your frame advancement, regardless of wheter it has a captured/defeated pokemon or not.
    Oh wait I just remembered I was in the middle of IV RNGing...so give me a few min and I'll try to get it in one go.
