woah i did not notice thrice release anything. listening now

new SCROOBIUS PIP album is out and it is awesome! i think getting away from dan le sac's electro pop beats has had a positive effect on him - there's a lot of aggression in the lyrics and the way he spits them this time around, mostly set to distorted guitars'n'drums. sometimes the production is a little too loud and you can't make out what he's saying but i've solved this issue by listening to each song a hundred times

6 hours long? I'm not even going to bother with the any of that...

So what's new/leaked this week that I'm enjoying: Lights - Siberia, Nicola Roberts - Cinderella's Eyes, J. Cole - Cole World: The Sideline Story

COLE WORLD NO BLANKET

witty comment about how any time spent listening to a flaming lips song is time utterly wasted
Witty comment about how FUCK YOU.

But you're totally right. ;_;

Oh, and doom, I finally listened to the new Mastodon. I thought it was just ok....

Also I finally got around to listening to refused. It also turns out I only liked Liberation Frequency....I thought the album was....just....ok. This is in white because I didn't have the heart to tell you. D:

I listened to some newer albums recently, as well, thought, I can share my thoughts here :D Mostly Rock and Metal stuff...

Ghost Brigade - Until Fear No Longer Defines Us was a brilliant listen from the start to the ending, loved it all the way through. One of the best albums this year imo! I really like the opening track In The Woods which is an acoustic song and it sets the atmosphere for the entire record - simply awesome. Fav song is probably Divine Act of Lunacy, because of the drumloop :3

Mute - Thunderblast was great, too. If you like early Rise Against, you'll love this (and their previous album The Raven). Fast and melodic punk rock with some very epic solos. They're touring in Europe atm but there's no date for Germany >.<

Anthrax - Worship Music was a huge surprise for me. I just recently got into the Big 4 and gave this one a chance and ... was blown. Nearly every song has at least one awesome moment and, yeah just listen for yourself: -> http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G6glLYRKy6o (that's not the album version though, still awesome, you won't notice the differences) Can't wait for the new Megadeth now!!

Oh, and on a side note: Because of Anthrax, I also got to know The Damned Things - pretty cool band, check out their newest song Trophy Widow, which will appear on the soundtrack of the new Batman game...but who cares about Batman, really?

Dream Theater's new record A Dramatic Turn of Events was a nice listen, as well. I love those melodic, symphonic and epic styles of metal, gj on this one, never thought, that this could be possible without Mike Portnoy! Lost Not Forgotten is a masterpiece imo!

New Opeth - Heritage was kinda disappointing for me, there was like...nothing metal-y or heavy, as far as I can remember. Only heard it once though, might give it another chance, because I just noticed there was no metal and erased it from my mind :S

Polar bear Club released a new album, as well, called Clash Battle Guilt Pride. It's overall relatively slow for a punk record, but that doesn't matter that much in this case because the whole album is like that and so this creates the feeling that it's closed in itself, I hope you know what I mean xD A good listen, 3-4 Tango is my favorite track here

Another epic fats and melodic punk release was Three Chord Society's Sanguinity - thos guys are actually from Germany, which I found pretty cool :3 Like Mute, they managed to create a record full of cool melodies and as stated above, if you like the older Rise Against stuff, you'll definetely like this band, too But they're pretty damn hard to find online <.<

besides that, I just listened to Machine Head - Unto The Locust and I'm just going to say, that this is a must-have for every metal fan, it's simply amazing. I have to listen to it a few more times to get everything it has to offer, but the first listen was very pleasant :)

Still need to hear through Mastodon - The Hunter. And I read somewhere, that there'll be a new Tool album this year, can't wait for it, Tool is epic, love the melodies and especially the lyrics, they're such good musicians! xD

That's it for now :X

J.Cole man.. So good.

Take Care later this month will probably sell more than Tha Carter IV, Watch the Throne, or any other rap album this year. Drake is improving so much with combining his singing and his rapping. His themes of his new life and the lifestyle of the rich and famous is a lot more personal and interesting. Every song released so far are great. I love marvins room, trust issues, and club paradise especially.

Also, how does everyone feel about MGK? I'm from ohio so I've been listening to him for a while. I saw him in concert earlier this year and his energy is seriously intense. I'm so glad he got signed now. I just hope diddy promotes him right, he could be huge. He has a SERIOUS talent. Lace up!
