Good question!

I've thought about it and talked it over with others, and I think it'd be best if the future rounds follow 5th Gen mechanics. While this will require some slight extra work for battlers/refs that aren't completely familiar with the old mechanics, they aren't terribly hard to find (you can see a list of virtually every change in the Omnibus thread). But I'm assuming that up until now people have been making their team/item/move choices under a 5th Gen mind frame, so it would be unfair to change that midway through.

Of course, we have a while before the decision comes into effect. If anyone would like to talk about this more with me feel free to. I'm 99% set on doing it this way, but if anyone strongly feels we should go with Gen 6 mechanics I'd like to hear your thoughts.
