Data Ask a Simple Question, Get a Simple Answer (ASB Version)

The restoring effect applies, but the user can only heal up to half of the Substitute's remaining HP. For example, if a Substitute has 10 HP and Mega Drain does 17 damage, then the Mega Drain user can only heal 5 HP.

What's with all those gym leaders? I see people saying there Gymleaders but i can't find anything about it.
Can you just say your a gymleader for fun because you think monotyping is cool (it is)
Or do you have to sign up for somthing?
Do you have to be a gymleader right from the start?
Do you need a special amount of pokémon of that type to become a gymleader
Or does it have something to with a Roleplay thing?

Answers please.

How many counters would I get for this match? It is basically a 1v1v1v1v1, and I am one of the competitors (sort of). It's just best if you read the OP.

To the best of my knowledge, you would recieve 4 RC + however many KOC Gargantua gets; however, the idea of you getting the KOC may be shot down due to the possibility of you being partial to get more KOs.

Considering that that's not a regular Galvantula, i don't think you should receive any KOs from it (since it's fighting with regular pokes)

According to the "Fleshy Fleshiness," if I win, then I get according however many KOs I get as extra RC. I was just wondering how many I get otherwise.

I signed up for this way back in March, when it was first starting up. However, I only had one battle and then did not participate any longer. I have not been following this subforum as avidly as I did back when it was just beginning. I would like to know the most major changes to the system that have occured since March, as I would like to get back into ASB here. Thanks in advance answerer.

If Leethoof asks me to post in the SQSA thread, should I post in the SQSA thread?

What happens if a combo fails because of sleep/flinch/freeze? On the next action, does the pokemon simply not do anything?

Depends, a trainer could give an order for the Pokemon for the cooldown action if he so desired; it would fail if the combo was successful, but if not the Pokemon would then execute the move. Similar to how you can order your Pokemon to do something when it's asleep on the chance it somehow wakes up. However, 99% of people simply say cooldown or something similar instead of giving an order, so if the combo wasn't executed for some reason they'd find themselves wasting an action for nothing.

For multi-target moves like Rock Slide, are you allowed to say that you only want to focus it on one target in a doubles battle for full power? I've seen at least one ref allow it, but someone else said no.

I wouldn't unless the other pokes on the field are immune to it (like earthquake against a zapdos and a metagross with rhyperior and gligar), or unless it's part of a combo

I'd allow it 100% and don't understand any reason not to - it's simply a case of shifting your aim to focus on 1 target. If it was an earthquake, I'd understand, but Rock Slide is a different case.

rock slide case i would, but i was thinking about heat wave (where the hot wind expands) or discharge (where the energy goes everywhere), the ones where the whole field is hit i wouldn't, but the ones, were you can aim it (struggle bug, electro web, rock slide, etc..) i think i would allow it

I was thinking of getting a Nincada for my next mon. Two questions:

Does Nincada count as a two-stage or three stage mon (since it has two evolved forms obtained simultaneously.)?

How do you decide whether you get Shedinja or Ninjask (or both!) upon evolution?

I had a match a while ago, but I never visited the Prize Claiming thread to actually receive them. Are these counters still viable or now obselete with the changes made to the game?

~hoblaph

Yeah, as long as you never claimed from the match before you can claim from it now. Just make sure you claim what was correct at the time, ie if the match started before the change where Pokemon with max EC and DC get 3 MC instead of 2, then make sure you don't claim 3 MC!

Quick question - is Natural Gift affected by accuracy and evasion modifiers? The description from the audit thread gives no accuracy rating for it, but in the games it's 100%. Thanks.

Natural Gift: The Pokemon taps into the latent energy of its held berry, releasing it in a sharp beam that strikes the opponent for physical damage. The type and power of the attack depend on the berry. Natural Gift may be used eight (8) times before the Pokemon's Berry is entirely consumed.

Attack Power: Varies | Accuracy: -- | Energy Cost: 6 | Attack Type: Physical | Effect Chance: -- | Typing: Depends | Priority: 0 | CT: Set

Wait, so @ShinySkarmory's Nincada question: You don't get both, like you do ingame? Because it's not an evolution, Shedinja just appears when you evolve into Ninjask.
