Stupid question: If I select Lv. 100 Single Battle on WiFi and all my guys are under Lv. 100, will they automatically go up to Lv. 100 for the battle?

Lemme re-word that. I have a Lucario with bad EVs if I breed it, will the Riolu inherit anything bad? Bad IVs or something?

You can inheret ivs from the parent, but no EVs will be passed down to the Riolu

Edit:

Yes they will. You can also use this on low level pokemon to better determine IVs

I just completed raising a Gallade w/ Hypnosis, False Swipe, Mean Look, and Psycho Cut.

It is to be used to help me capture pokemon, both roaming and normal. All I need to do is get him to lv. 100, which is going to be hard.

What should I nickname him? I was thinking "Pro Hunter".

Pro Hunter is good enough and punny.. very punny. Also just use the move re learner and use a offensive set to level it up. Or do the lead + switch out tactic until it's high enough level to defeat most opponents. Or if all else fails use rare candies :P

Substitute has many uses, and there are a lot of viable ways to use it. It depends on the Pokémon that's using it and what they're trying to do. A Pokémon might intend to use it to absorb more than one hit, so they'll want a sub with a lot of HP. Others might intentionally want weak substitutes, such as Pokémon who want to force their HP down to activate pinch berries and abilities like Torrent. Some Pokémon also just use them as an insurance policy to protect them from status ailments or to take a single hit so they have that precious one turn to stat up and sweep.

So there is no one "best" way to use Substitute, just figure out what you need to do and adjust your Pokémon's strategy, movesets, and stats accordingly.

Whats the best way to get the most out of Substitute? Does the move always round down when taking 25% from your max HP?

What are you subbing for? Once you know that, then you can figure out how many HP evs you need. For example, if you plan on using SubSalac/SubPetaya, then you'll need to make sure it's HP is divisible by 4. Same goes for Belly Drum/Substitute combos.

If you just want it purely for the defense, though, then just max out HP and defense stats, and make sure it's not divisible by 4, to let you get a fourth sub without dying.

Right after beating Elite Four can you start assembling / training your team for wifi battles or is there something else you should do before?

I'm breeding a new Starmie in Soulsilver. If I give the Everstone to the Staryu will it pass the nature or does it always have to be equipped on the Ditto? My timid Ditto doesn't have perfect speed so I thought I'd breed my 31 sp.Atk Ditto with a timid Stary with 31 speed(I'm good with 2 perfects). But if not, I'll just try something alse.
Also, Staryu's can't breed with each other and the same goes for Ditto's right?(just making sure)
Thanks.

Impreza, you can train your wifi team at any point in the game. All you need is to beat the first gym leader and get your pal pad.

You can find information on HGSS breeding here.

To answer your question, no, it does not always need to be equipped on the Ditto. However, both of the Pokemon must have you as their OT, and there is a 50% chance of passing down the nature of the Pokemon that is holding the Everstone. And no, Staryu/mie can only breed with Ditto, not with other Staryu/mie. If you want the IVs to be passed down, using Power items can help. Consult the thread I linked above for more information.

Forgot to ask my own question. So there's the Enigma Stone event for HGSS that ends tomorrow. Let's say that a friend of mine gets the event. Is the Wonder Card transferable? If so, if I receive the Wonder Card, will I be able to unlock the event?

Im at the point where you catch Lugia, should I soft-reset it until I get a good nature or it's not worth wasting the time?

Totally up to you. Do you plan to do a lot of WiFi uber battles? Do you want it for the achievement? Do you plan to trade it for other Pokemon? Do you have the patience for this sort of thing?

I noticed that in Shoddy, new event moves for Pokemon such as Heatran and Celebi have not been added to the Smogon server. While Heatran is restricted to one nature, Celebi is not; why hasn't Nasty Plot been added?

Nope.

Just read this..

From Emerald onwards, if the Pokémon with this ability is leading the party, Synchronize gives a 50% chance of encountering a wild Pokémon with the same nature. However, this does not apply to any Pokémon created with Method 1 of the random number generator. This includes Emerald's 'one-off' Pokémon such as legendaries, Castform, and Beldum, as well as Generation IV's roaming legendaries and its non-legendary one-offs, including Bebe's Eevee and the Porygon in Veilstone City.

Will Heatran from Platinum and the Enigma Stone Latias from SoulSilver work with this method as I would like certain Natured Legends.

Could someone help me out by sending any pokemon to help me beat E4. I ran through without much leveling up, I will return the pokemon as soon as Im done.
