You don't have to have absolutely perfect IVs but you will be at a tiny disadvantage at the Nationals or Worlds level since your opponents will primarily have Pokemon with perfect IVs. R Inanimate made Top 16 at the US Nationals without RNG'd Pokemon but even he still had Pokemon with an average IV of 28 or more (for relevant stats so this excludes things like SpAtk IV on a Pokemon without special attacks) and IV31 in important stats. If you don't RNG, you also pretty much have to give up on getting usable roaming legendaries like Tornadus or Thundurus (especially Hidden Power Thundurus). Also Hidden Power is a lot less accessible without RNG. These are problems you can get around by making the right kind of team, though. You can without a doubt still be very successful using Pokemon you bred yourself.

At the very least, you'll probably want to go for 31 Speed on anything you want max Speed for, because a lot of those matchups are determined by speed ties so even a single point can make a huge difference.

what is the best way to get a pokemon with flawless IV's?

is there somewhere that teaches "how to IV flawlessly for dummies"

i just dont know what the steps are to create a pokemon with perfect IV's

RNGing one is fairly easy using the guides in the wifi forum, you could find people who are giving away flawless pokémon (often they'll be more than happy to give them away if you're using them in VGC) or you could hack them lol. But you're not really supposed to hack them since it's sort of naughty.

what does RNG stand for?

im just trying to figure out how to im assuming breed my pokemon until i get perfect IV's

i mean is this all just a trial and error until i get one with perfect IV's?

and where is the best place to calculate IV's?

Random Number Generator. It's a lot better than breeding for IVs since you can get exactly what you want in usually 2-3 tries instead of hundreds.

Short version: the RNG isn't actually random, it's determined by the time on the DS clock when you start the game and a few other factors, so if you start it at the right time, you can control exactly what you get. More info here: http://www.smogon.com/forums/showthread.php?t=83057

And here's the IV calculator I like: http://www.metalkid.info/Pokemon/Calculators/IV.aspx

I'm trying to build a potential team for VGC and also for practice during weekend tournaments and so on
I don't have access to these amazing pokemons like shinys and events and stuff
I'm trying to get help from someone who can RNG a team for me
I can worry about the rest I just need nearly flaeless IV team. But it seems people only want credits to a thread I don't have lol. My question is is there anything else to offer people?
Just for an IV team lol perhaps nickname the pokes after you lol

Well if you browse the WiFi forum here, some people are giving away free Pokemon for the VGC season, however since said season is over I assume most will be on hiatus. You could try and visit #smogonwifi on irc.synirc.net if you have access to IRC and ask there.

It seems like the best way to do well in the vgc is have pokeomon with perfect ivs. Are rnged pokemon worth alot? because i dont understand rnging at all and i dont have anything amazing to offer for them

If you learn how to rng, especially in b/w, rnging is relatively easy. If you don't have time though, nice people in the wifi section give out free pokemon to vgc people who can't rng.

There are wifi tournaments pretty much every sunday on irc where you can win RNGs just for participating. But aside of that, 5th Gen RNG is ridiculously easy. Read the guide. Watch the videos. Try it out. You'll get it.

Weren't the VGC2012 rules supposed to be revealed on September 1st? I thought I heard that somewhere on here...

If not, then when do you think they might go up?

I think that was only supposed to be the TCG rules for sure, and anything for VGC is still speculation. As for why it's late, when has TPCi ever put anything like this out on time?

That was just pure speculation, we'll have to wait and see. Some people are expecting late September.

Ninja'd, lol. Just an interesting note, nothing was announced for TCG either!

I just grind the Elite Four, Audino is too tedious for me too.

But you only need level 50 for VGC (or else you're posting on the wrong board), which doesn't take long at all. Hell, I don't have a single level 100 in White because I never bothered to get any of them that high.
