Ok so I have a question about weather. With the lead, the one who comes out last keeps their weather on. How does it work in this case:
Red's Metagross uses Explosion
Red's Metagross faints
Blue's Lugia faints
*SWITCH*
Red sends out Abomasnow
Blue sends out Kyogre
Kyogre is faster, but Red's Metagross died before Blue's Lugia did. Does it Hail or does it Rain?
I think it is acutally the other way around, and either way it doesn't matter becuase it isn't who comes out first, but rather the lower speed. So the abomasnow would always get hail up if they are sent out at the same time (when i say same time i mean both trainers are selecting which pokemon to send out at the same time).
I have another question, does encore go through substitute?
I think that they are too frail to be able to be used effectively in the VGC.Wait a sec--Rotom Formes are allowed? I'm surprised I haven't seen any RMTs that use them...
I'm pretty sure you will see a lot of Weather and Trick Room teams. It's just opinion, if you want to join them, or try and counter them. You could try and pull off a counter for both of them. But for me, I'm trying to go along with the crowd and try out one of the Weather or Trick Room teams. If you can make a counter for both, and then other random stuff along the way, I'm pretty sure you'll do fine.Quick question, is it advisable to run some sort of weather or trick room team? Or just bring counters for those in a well rounded team?
The Regional Championships is a Single Elimination event. Each match will consist of a single game and will result in the winner advancing to the next round and the loser being removed from the tournament.
If a tie occurs during the Preliminary rounds, both players will be considered the loser of that game and will be eliminated from the event. If a tie occurs during the Elimination rounds, a single game will be played to determine the winner of that match, using the Sudden Death rules outlined below.
And anyone hate the age groupings?
Yeah. When I lose to a 14-year old in the first round, I might cry.
Seriously, though, I imagine if you look at the distribution of players' ages, you see a "long tail" above, say, 15--there probably just aren't enough older players out there to justify an 18+ bracket.
ugh, you have a point, I just don't want to face all the adults that are super good at this. I rather face people around my age of 13-18. I'm not all too good at this stuff, and I'll just get bombed the first round against some body or sorts. meh, I need to get better at this...Yeah. When I lose to a 14-year old in the first round, I might cry.

Last year at the VGC I actually had a tied match and both my opponent and I were kicked out, not sure about the Swiss rounds thing though. Now I'm sure ties are going to be quite uncommon, but it doesn't make sense to eliminate both players in the event of a tie in prelims, right? Probably just their way of expediting the tournament lol.
Were the regulations of previous tourneys this poorly worded?

I have my own question though, is there any damage calculator that has the option to lower the power of moves in a double battle, say like Earthquake? Smogon's Damage Calc doesn't have this option and I'm not entirely sure what I would change to get an actual calc for a move like EQ in a double battle.
So tell me if this isn't in the right section.... but i'm looking for help on creating a supporting cresselia. I've seen a lot of them with helping hand, protect, toxic and stuff and i want to try one out ^_^
Can anyone help me with creating one including nature/ev's/moveset?
