actually i want both of them on my team(nicknamed Bearzerk and Tsundere) im just dissapointed that he wasn't ice/fightingThis guy isn't a watered down URsaring. Him and Ursa are completely different pokemon.
It just so happens that Ursaring completely outclasses this guy in the offfensive department, with better offensive abilities such as Guts and Quick Feet (Tension?). Ursaring also has higher attack and speed, isn't SR weak, and only has to look out for mach punch as priority.
Plus, Ursaring gets Earthquake. Makes no dang sense that Tsunbear doesn't get it as real life polar bears are far heavier than other bears. Then again, lol real life and pokemon.
Add me to the list of dissapointed players, I wanted a polar bear pokemon for quite some time.
he gets flail, and endure...
you know what that means ;)
Flail Sweeper
Tsunbeaa@ Salac Berry (leichi?)
Nature: Jolly
Ability: Swift Swim/Snow Cloak
EVs: 4 Def, 252 Att, 252 Speed
-Icicle Drop
-Superpower/Stone Edge/Swords Dance
-Endure
-Flail
Simple stuff. Endure, sweep with flail. Superpower for a last ditch attempt to kill something, Stone Edge for coverage, Swords dance to make Flail and Icicle drop hit harder. Jolly Nature because Tsunbeaa's attack stat is already impressive, and it needs all the speed it can get.
Polar bears live in the Arctic, not Antarctic...A Rainy Day in the Antarctic
Jolly Tsunbeaa@ Life Orb
252 Atk / 252 Spe / 4 Hp
Swift Swim
~ Icicle Drop
~ Brick Break
~ Stone Edge / Rock Slide
~ Shadow Claw

Choice Band
Tsunbeaa@Choice Band
Nature: Adamant
EVs: 252 HP, 252 Att, 4 Def
-Avalanche
-Night Slash
-Superpower
-Stone Edge
Tsunbeaa with maxed Attack and Choice Band will hit a 525 Attack stat, which is no laughing matter. 252 Attack is for maximum impact, and Tsunbeaa is so slow anyway, it's almost a waste to invest in Speed, so its respectable HP is maxed out as well. Since Tsunbeaa is so slow, it is almost guaranteed to go last, and therefore Avalanche's power will be doubled. Superpower, Night Slash and Return were chosen just because they were strong moves, so feel free to suggest anything else.
Prpl, avalanche has a negative priority, so a lower speed really only helps against, like, other avalanche users. Which you should be superpowering.
And this guy is terrible. Almost any swift swimmer can learn ice beam, so it's not like ice is in high demand there. Stab ice is a little trickier, but still not all that necessary. He also can't really do much outside of that that any other rain sweeper can do. Superpower is self-destructive, brick break weak, stone edge is kabutops' job. And he's still slow, even WITH swift swim. Swords dance ice punch ludicolo does better, as well as having the grass type to absorb leech seeds and the like.
As for the mamoswine thing, either choice item is beaten by mamoswine, with more ability to switch in, thanks to neutrality to sr and thick fat, his boosting sets are pointless since half the metagame outspeeds and ohkos him before he attacks, not to mention him being walled by skarmory and burunkeru.
Oh, and most non-water types on a rain dance team are for walling certain attacks(Heatran for grass types, for example. This guy can't even do THAT.
Unfortunately, UU teams won't have an auto-inducer, which is going to hamper his UU usage. It's too bad, since he'd be a unique UU rain sweeper.
is this guy underrated?
Why suck? Just because a Pokemon isn't bog standard doesn't mean it "sucks", I can even see usability in Uber with Kyogre! No. He sucks.
