Psyco_Josho and AWailOfATail , you both have slight errors in your builds. For AWailOfATail, Psychic costs 5 points, not 10, so you have 5 extra points to spend, or you can go onto an Adventure without spending them. For Psyco_Josho, however, it seems to need to be stated again that a third ability costs 5 extra points, meaning you are 5 points over-budget. Also, you have your trainer's weight class incorrect: it should be 4 without any abilities modifying it.

Also, Shrine of Ruin is now open for challenges! This shorter than usual Adventure is for two trainers and their Pokémon. While tied to the To Defy the End storyline, it does not advance it. Can you claim the weapon from within?

Auric (♂)

Type:


Having recently returned from the spirit world with his friend Sterling, Auric always feels very alone, in an unfamiliar territory.

Before he was banished to the world of ghosts, Auric had lived in a far away region which even he could not remember the name of. There, he used to serve a right and just king who was the one to give Auric, Sterling, when she was just a Cupra. Things would not always stay so happy however, as the darkness would come to take over. Auric and Sterling tried to fight, but the rest of the kingdom had abandoned them. They did not back down from the enemy, even when all hope was lost! Because of their actions, Auric and Sterling were sent to the spirit world by the darkness where they spent many ageless years searching for the exit to the shadows.

One can try to befriend this duo, but it may be difficult. Neither of the pair are very trusting of anyone, and are very secluded from society. However gaining trust won't be the most difficult part of gaining Auric's friendship. Finding him is no easy task, as he is often, despite his fear of the darkness, still fading in and out of the shadows...
Now that Auric has been back in the real world for a while, he has had the chance to raise, train and connect with new team members. His trust towards other trainer's however has not changed, especially since his close call in the unfinished shrine on his search for Walker. That being said, he has made a few friends through other adventures, and trust is starting to form.

His bond with Sterling is still as strong as ever, but he is now willing to travel without her and with other pokemon more freely. It works out very well as, strangely, all kinds of pokemon seem to love Auric, despite his ominous nature and harsh attitude.

Imhotep: Nope, there he is. All I need is to wake him.

Thanatos: Uhh, bad idea?

Imhotep: Thoth, wake!

Thoth: Huh? What? Oh, I must have fallen asleep. Silly me. How long was I out? Who's the pharoah? And who's that dude in black?

Imhotep: Dude, there hasn't been a pharoah for the past 2000 years or so. The dude in black is Thanatos, Greek god of death. He's helping me with, you know.

Thoth: Itsumo, eh? Nasty customer. You mean you haven't caught him for 5000 years?

Imhotep: Hey, we have a lead. At least, probably. It has to do with the Horsemen.

Thoth: The horsemen? They aren't Egyptian, are they?

Imhotep: No, they're a group of five Babylonian priests who predicted the end of the world. They also found a spell to give themselves immortality, or at least four of them did. No one knows about the last one. Since then, they've been going around and messing with the world. Like persuading a Mayan priest to end his calendar at 2012. I have sufficient reason to believe that the apocalypse they predicted involves Itsumo. Also, a Natu gave me the hint after I had a skirmish with Itsumo. No true forms on either side, as that would get nasty really quickly. But the problem with the Four Horsemen plan is that we need the fifth to unleash their true power, whatever it is. And the fifth has presumably been dead for 5000 years.

Thoth: I see. Quite the situation we are faced with here. I'll try researching something about the Horsemen. Should we wake the others?

Imhotep: I'm afraid that when Egypt fell most of the others retreated into the heavens and fell into such a deep coma no one has figured out how to revive them. Shame, it would be useful to have Ra, Horus, Isis, and maybe Set with us. We still have a few minor gods left but they're not very powerful anymore. I have a strange feeling the final fight lies in our hands. For now I'll go scout the mortal world for useful clues, maybe affiliate myself with some humans so they can help. Oh, and while you're researching, can you try figuring out the source of power of the Pokemon too? Those things are seriously powerful.

Blaise suffers from "I have a voice in my head" Syndrome, something that is mostly unconfirmed due to the fact that, well, how do you test that kind of thing? Regardless of what scientists believe, Blaise has an inner voice he's named Kindel that's more or less the only barrier, as far as he's concerned, to the amount of power he wants (read: a lot). While Blaise is more interested in power, regardless of the cost to others, Kindel forces him to act fairly morally, also known as "if you go too far I will take over and kill us both". Yes, he's Kreig from Borderlands 2. Although Blaise feels constrained by this inner voice, he has control of his body at nearly all times, although there are moments where he just so happens to have walked into a situation that ends up with his rescuing someone, or that his psychic powers seem noticeably stronger when helping others, as though both minds were powering the attacks. Blaise has heard rumors of the Shadow type of Orre being able to be placed on humans, and seeks a way to attain such a state, thinking it'll finally both free him from Kendel and give him the power he seeks. Of course, I'll put an end to that if he gets too close to that. If I still can, at that point. Shut up, Kindel. For now, he's seeking information on the Shadow type, as well as funds for traveling and food and the like, the latter mostly being the reason to seek Walker. Onee bad conversation, though, could easily switch his allegiance.

Nature: Mild (+Special Attack, -Defense) (Cost: 10 Points)

Abilities:
Technician: This Pokemon is more skilled at performing weaker moves, causing any of their one-hit or two-hit attacks that normally have 6 or less Base Attack Power to have their Base Attack Power on each hit multiplied by 1.5. (e.g. Aerial Ace goes from 6 to 9, Mach Punch goes from 4 to 6, Double Hit to from 4 per hit to 6 per hit etc.) The Energy Cost for a one-hit or two-hit attack is increased by one (1). Each hit in a multi-hit move is boosted by one (1) Base Attack Power, and the Energy Cost for multi-hit attacks is increased by two (2). Because Technician is a multiplier on single hit moves, its effect is applied to Base Attack Power before any additive effects. ANNOUNCEMENT:

I've negotiated with the RP council, and ref pay has increased! Rejoyce, fellow refs! Our hard work will now be paid for more fairly. THIS APPLIES TO ALL ONGOING AND FUTURE ADVENTURES!

Allied Delve: For Allied Delve-type adventures, refs gain 1 UC per creature involved in a fight, an additional UC for every update the ref posts, an additional 0.5 UC for every round in a boss battle (round up at end of Delve), and an additional 1 UC for completing the Adventure.
Rivaled Exploration:
For Rivaled Exploration-type adventures, refs gain 1 UC per creature involved in a fight, 2 UC per "Boss" creature, an additional UC every round once the Exploration begins, and an additional 2 UC for completing the Adventure. This reflects the amount of off-screen Pokémon the referee must also control, each with their own combat styles.
Epic Rivaled Exploration:
For Rivaled Exploration-type adventures, refs gain 1 UC per creature involved in a fight, 3 UC per "Boss" creature, an additional 2 UC every round once the Exploration begins, and an additional 5 UC for completing the Adventure. This reflects the amount of off-screen Pokémon the referee must also control, each with their own combat styles. Payment in case of DQ has also been created. Sometimes things happen, and you have to deal with real life without warning. In that case, refer to these:

Ref DQ: If the ref is DQed, then he only gets the UC he would have gotten if the adventure had ended when he got DQed. However, he forfeits the UC of each creature in the current battle (if a battle is going on), and that Adventure's ability to turn earned UC into Exploration Tokens. The Replacement Ref gains the UC from creatures involved in the current battle (if any).

Player DQ: DQed players only earn 2 CC + rewards for their Pokémon for each encounter they completed before they were DQed. They forfeit any Adventure Battle specific rewards (items, Exploration Tokens, and Heroism Badges). Note that most Adventures require 2+ people for them to continue, so if one isn't careful, they could force an early end to their companion's adventure.
