Idk, i'd have to test it, but if swellow is able to switch into a non attack and it only takes 50% from body slam but yeah.

Swellow has a hard time surviving against thise core. If it switches into Body Slam it will die the eventually since it cannot OHKO Lickilicky. Brave Bird recoil, Stealth Rocks, and Toxic Damage spamming also makes Swellow's life hard.

Absol

Absol @Chesto Berry
Trait: Super Luck
252 Atk 252 Spe 4 Hp
Adamant Nature
~Night Slash
~Swords Dance
~Superpower
~Rest

This Absol can easily switch into anything misdreavus wants to dole out and blissfully set up a swords dance on it as the misdreavus tries to burn him. Absol can then rest before he is taunted, then proceed to take out the core (and possibly sweep) with boosted night slash and superpower. (This set is a little unconventional, so i thought i could post it here for the kicks :P)

[22:36:24] <@Raseri> i should make a post about reservations. I prefer thorough responses to fast ones
[22:36:26] <@DTC> the game trains you to do that
[22:36:28] <+MMF> and that is why you get girls pregnant
[22:36:34] <@DTC> I don't like reservations either
[22:36:39] <@Raseri> so if you make a post and edit it within an hour
[22:36:43] <@Raseri> or so
[22:36:47] <@DTC> hmm, that's fair
[22:36:53] <@Raseri> to stop people from reservingt day 1
[22:36:54] <@Raseri> and waiting a week
[22:36:55] <@DTC> because last time people didn't make them
[22:36:57] <@Raseri> or never using it

just so you know, until raseri gets the chance to edit it into the rules since apparently he's busy atm

Throh @ Chesto Berry
252 HP / 4 Def / 252 SpDef
Careful Nature (-SpA, +SpDef)
-Bulk Up
-Payback
-Circle Throw
-Rest

Calcs: (courtesy of Silverlight calc)
0 SpAtk Misdreavus Shadow Ball vs 252 HP/252 SpDef Throh (+SpDef) : 13.51% - 16.22% (7-8 hits to KO)

0 SpAtk Misdreavus Shadow Ball vs 252 HP/252 -1 SpDef Throh (+SpDef) : 20.5% - 24.32% (5 hits to KO)

0 Atk Lickilicky Body Slam vs 252 HP/0 Def Throh: 20.95% - 24.55% (5 hits to KO)

0 Atk Throh Circle Throw vs 252 HP/0 Def Lickilicky: 31.84% - 38.21% (3-4 hits to KO)

0 Atk Throh Payback vs 252 HP/228 Def Misdreavus (+Def) : 45.06% - 53.09% (2-3 hits to KO)

So,
Offensively: Misdreavus is 2HKOed by Payback after SR, and Lickilicky takes SE damage from Circle Throw. Licki doesn't get even 2hkoed, but you're supposed to stack bulk up on it. The thing is NOT circle throwing every time you see lickilicky at unboosted: what will happen is that it'll wish, and you just wish-passed to Misdreavus for him. Remember that his best chance of ever KOing you is massive hax through SpDef drops on shadow ball.

Defensively: Chesto Berry + Rest makes sure that Body Slam paralysis and WOW passive damage cannot ruin you. Well, to be fair, Throh's guts appreciates switching into Missy's wisp, but it's just an insurance vs. an untimely full paralysis. Thanks to their weak damage output, Throh can always Rest loop, even when it used up its Chesto berry and Missy already has a SpDef drop.

Viability: This is Throh's standard bulk up set. Actually, Storm throw hits Licki harder, but it loses major metagame-viability points.

If you spam payback vs. Missy, stack bulk up on Licky, it's really hard to go wrong.

Amarillo, you need to factor in Misdreavus' Eviolite
0 Atk Throh Payback vs 252 HP/228 Def Eviolite Misdreavus (+Def) : 30.25% - 35.8%

Umm I knew something was wrong >.>

I'll edit my post sometime soon. Maybe come up with something more straightforward

Yeah it was just a quick thought though if Swellow comes into misdreavus and can then take out Licki on the switch, but your right, due to recoil/toxic/rocks it struggles to stay alive.

Miltank @ leftovers
Ability: Scrappy
EV: 252 HP/ 252 SDef /4 ATK
Nature: Careful (+ SDef, -SAtk)

Curse
Milk Drink
Heal Bell
Body Slam

With 2-3 curses she can take down the core, the only real problem is Misdreavus' Taunt, but once you get the paralysis with Body Slam, it's more easy to set up on misdreavus. Lickylicky cannot do anything to Milk except for the paralysis that can be annoying, but heal bell is here for that reason (and will-o wisp ;D). The better scenario is to come in on Lickylicky, the worst is that you can't get a paralysis on Misdreavus with that high chances. She's not that solid threat to the core, but that's the first one that comes in my mind without doing any calc. If i can find something more solid, i'll edit.

Spr_5b_200.png
(F) @ Eviolite
Trait: Levitate
EVs: 212 HP / 252 SAtk / 8 SDef / 36 Spd
Modest Nature (+SAtk, -Atk)
- Nasty Plot
- Shadow Ball
- Hidden Power [Fighting]
- Heal Bell

Nasty Plot Misdreavus is rarely seen these days since Skuntank has become extremely common, but it's still a legitimate threat to a lot of teams. Max Special Attack with a Modest nature to hit as hard as possible and a bulky EV spread to set up on weaker special attackers (which can't hurt you much even with Toxic thanks to Heal Bell). The speed EV's outspeed the Misdreavus alongside Lickilicky accounting for the speed drop thanks to Hidden Power [Fighting]. If that EV spread is seen as completely useless outside of countering these two then I can change it, but it really isn't illegitimate.

Since Lickilicky can't hurt Misdreavus at all, the only hurdle is the opposing Misdreavus; even with Stealth Rocks up, Misdreavus survives to finish off both Lickilicky and its counterpart. It takes exactly 39 damage from Stealth Rocks (out of its 316 total), which leaves it at 277 HP minimum. The best the defending Misdreavus can muster is:

0SpAtk Misdreavus (Neutral) Shadow Ball vs 212HP/8SpDef Eviolite Levitate Misdreavus (Neutral): 36% - 43% (116 - 138 HP). Guaranteed 3HKO.

which means that Misdreavus will always hang on with at least 1 HP while setting up a Nasty Plot on the second Shadow Ball. It can then outspeed during the next turn and OHKO back:

252SpAtk +2 Misdreavus (+SAtk) Shadow Ball vs 252HP/0SpDef Eviolite Levitate Misdreavus (Neutral): 100% - 119% (326 - 386 HP). Guaranteed OHKO.

Lickilicky is just a little bump in the road for Misdreavus since it can't hurt the ghost at all while getting set up on:

252SpAtk +6 Misdreavus (+SAtk) Hidden Power (Fighting) vs 252HP/252SpDef Leftovers Cloud Nine Lickilicky (+SpDef): 88% - 103% (374 - 440 HP). Guaranteed 2HKO. 24% chance to OHKO.

If Misdreavus gets Burned as it comes in then it can still set up a Nasty Plot. Stealth Rocks + 3 turns of burn + Shadow Ball will not be enough to bring it down. As soon as Lickilicky comes in Misdreavus can cure the burn with Heal Bell and continue the setup. If it gets Taunted, then it can just spam Shadow Ball until the opposing Misdreavus falls (thanks to always 2HKO'ing with Shadow Ball) or until they go to Lickilicky. If they go to Lickilicky at all during this matchup they will lose because Misdreavus gets a free Nasty Plot against it, which means it can then outspeed + OHKO the defending Misdreavus once it is forced in, which in turn means that only said defending Misdreavus can stop it. However, no matter what sequence of turns it uses, NP Misdreavus will always win out, which means that the set pictured above destroys the core.

I present to all of you champion Clefairy.

SAUce.png

Clefairy (M) @ Eviolite
Trait: Magic Guard
EVs: 248 HP / 252 Def / 8 SAtk
Bold Nature (+Def, -Atk)
- Magic Coat
- Calm Mind
- Stored Power
- Softboiled

Misdreavus cannot touch this set, only being able to Taunt it. If it tries to use Taunt while Clefairy is already on the field, then it gets hit with Magic Coat and Clefairy can set up Calm Minds for free as they switch to Lickilicky. Lickilicky can barely touch this either:

0Atk Cloud Nine Lickilicky (Neutral) Body Slam vs 248HP/252Def Eviolite Clefairy (+Def): 16% - 20% (58 - 70 HP). Guaranteed 6HKO.

Clefair dgaf and can Softboiled off any damage while setting up Calm Mind on Lickilicky. The best way for the core to play against this would be to Taunt as Clefairy comes in, then switch to Lickilicky and hit Clefairy with one Body Slam. At this point Clefairy is free from Taunt, and can set up Calm Mind. Going back to Misdreavus is pointless since Taunt will just get reflected by Magic Coat. So the only hope the core has is paralyzing Clefairy then getting 5 full paras in a row...which is a 0.0003 chance, so yeah. Eventually Clefairy will get to +6 and then...

8SpAtk +6 Clefairy (Neutral) Stored Power vs 252HP/252SpDef Leftovers Lickilicky (+SpDef): 87% - 103% (371 - 437 HP). Guaranteed 2HKO. 19% chance to OHKO.

gg

8SpAtk +6 Clefairy (Neutral) Stored Power vs 252HP/0SpDef Eviolite Misdreavus (Neutral): 117% - 138% (380 - 448 HP). Guaranteed OHKO.

144___Articuno_by_Sprite3G.png

ARTICUNO'S IN THE BUILDING SO PREPARE FOR THE FLOW
GLORIOUS, UPROARIOUS, GET YOUR MASTERBALLS, HOE
CAN'T HANDLE THE PRESSURE, YOUR 'PP'S ARE GETTIN' LOW
SHEER COLD? IT AIN'T NOTHIN' BUT A ONE HIT K.O
IF IM SIPPIN ON A POTION THIS ATTACK MAY MISS
BUT I COME BACK WITH AN ICE BEAM CAUSE YOU CANT FUCK WITH THIS

Articuno @ Lum Berry
Trait: Pressure
EVs: 248 HP / 172 Def / 56 SDef / 32 Spd
Calm Nature (+SDef, -Atk)
- Substitute
- Roost
- Toxic
- Ice Beam

This is the standard Toxic Substaller Articuno but with a slight adjustment of EVs and item to help prevent random hax happening. Substitute prevents status and critical hits, Roost keeps Articuno healthy, Toxic beats Licki and Missy, and Ice Beam is pretty much filler. The speed EVs allow Articuno to outrun both Lickilicky and Misdreavus, allowing it to Sub before they move.

0 Atk Lickilicky Body Slam vs 250 HP/173 Def Articuno: 17.49% - 21.15% (5-6 hits to KO)

Articuno is safe to come in against any move on Lickilicky because Lum Berry protects it from Paralysis and set up a Sub. From there Articuno is able to Roost safely knowing that Lickilicky will never be able to break its Sub in one shot. Articuno's Toxic wins against Heal Bell because it has more PP, and Ice Beam wins against Body Slam because it has more PP (due to Pressure). Not that Ice Beam even needs to be used much, Articuno could just spam Toxic until Licki dies.

0 SpAtk Misdreavus Shadow Ball vs 249 HP/56 SpDef Articuno (+SpDef) : 14.1% - 16.71% (6-8 hits to KO)
0 SpAtk Misdreavus Shadow Ball vs 249 HP/56 -1 SpDef Articuno (+SpDef) : 21.15% - 25.07% (4-5 hits to KO)

0 SpAtk Articuno Ice Beam vs 252 HP/0 SpDef Eviolite Misdreavus: 23.46% - 27.78% (4-5 hits to KO)

Again Articuno is safe to come in on any attack that Misdreavus can use, and this is where the Spdef investment comes into play - even if Misdreavus gets a Spdef drop with Shadow Ball, Articuno can still make unbreakable subs so it is safe to come in no matter what. The only slight problem is if it comes into Taunt; Articuno will have two turns where it can't Sub or Roost but Misdreavus cannot 2HKO Articuno even with a Spdef drop and the worst case is Articuno gets hit with a Burn, which it doesn't mind much because of unbreakable Subs, Toxic and Pressure allowing Articuno to safely Roost up at anytime.

@CBB: Your misdreavus loses if the opposing Misdreavus gets a crit on Shadow Ball at any time or if it comes in on Shadow Ball and the first one causes a Spdef drop. The chances of this happening if Misdreavus comes into Shadow Ball are 21% or just over 1 in 5 (1/[15/16*9/10*15/16]). The possibility is also there if Misdreavus comes into Wisp and the opposing gets a crit on Shadow Ball the following turn, which is of course a standard 6.25% chance.

@Emma Watson: Clefairy cannot come into Taunt on Misdreavus, and even if it avoids it, Clefairy must spam Magic Coat for fear of a Taunt and Pain Split has many more PP than Magic Coat so Misdreavus can hypothetically win the PP war if it comes down to it. Also 5 full paras in a row is a 0.1% chance which is better than winning the lottery and many ppl win the lottery so yeah, Lickilicky could potentially hit the jackpot and beat Clefairy.

Linoone @ Lum Berry
Trait: Pickup
EVs: 16 HP / 252 Atk / 240 Spe
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)

-Seed Bomb

Lum Berry lets it set up on either of them, then promptly KO them both (I don't have calcs at tthe moment but I'm pretty sure it KOes them both). This is provided you are sensible to come in on a non-status move.

Linoone won't be able to set up on Misdreavus if it switches into Will-o-Wisp since it has to use up an additional turn setting up a Belly Drum. It also can't switch into Lickilicky with those EVs since it doesn't have Sitrus Berry.

Magcargo

219.png

Magcargo (M) @ Leftovers
Trait: Flame Body
EVs: 252 HP / 4 SAtk / 252 SDef
Calm Nature (+SDef, -Atk)
- Flame Charge
- Recover
- Lava Plume
- Toxic

0 SpAtk Misdreavus Shadow Ball vs 252 HP/252 SpDef Magcargo (+SpDef) : 20.72% - 24.67%
4 SpAtk Magcargo Lava Plume vs 252 HP/0 SpDef Eviolite Misdreavus: 16.98% - 20.37%

When Magcargo switches into Misdreavus, it can be hit by Shadow Ball which after Stealth Rock and Leftovers will leave it at around 59%. Magcargo can then survive three more Shadow Balls from that amount of health (unless they all get max damage) and use Flame Charge three times to then outspeed Misdreavus and use Recover. If Misdreavus doesn't Taunt on the first turn, then Magcargo can just restore its health with Recover. Misdreavus's three Shadow Balls in a row will rarely do more than 50% damage meaning Magcargo can Recover safely. In that time, Magcargo can either Lava Plume if Taunted, or Toxic if un-Taunted.

Turn 1
Magcargo is hurt by Rocks and takes a Taunt, leaving it at 81.25%

If Misdreavus uses Shadow Ball then it will have to use Taunt turn 2 to prevent Recover, so the same amount of damage is done to Magcargo

Turn 2
Misdreavus uses Shadow Ball, Magcargo uses Flame Charge leaving Magcargo at around 65%

Turn 3
Misdreavus uses Shadow Ball, Magcargo uses Flame Charge leaving Magcargo at 48%

Turn 4
Misdreavus uses Shadow Ball, Magcargo uses Flame Charge leaving Magcargo at 32%, Taunt wears off after this turn

Turn 5
Magcargo is now faster and can use Recover, Misdreavus has to Taunt again or else it loses to multiple Recovers, Magcargo is now at a healthy amount of HP, and can try to burn Misdreavus with Lava Plume or just wear it down.

0 Atk Lickilicky Body Slam vs 252 HP/0 Def Magcargo: 11.18% - 13.49%

Lickilicky cannot beat Magcargo, while Heal Bell PP runs out all too fast.

YO NLI

Clefairy can come in, since neither Misdreavus or Lickilicky can touch it. If it gets taunted, it doesn't care since it just waits until Taunt runs out, spams Magic Coat for a few turns then randomly uses Calm Mind. Seriously, it gets free turns when Misdreavus has to switch in again to use Taunt. Also 0.25^5 is 1/1024 which is not 0.1 lol. Plus Licky has to get a 0.3 chance para, so it is even smaller. Licky is not winning anytime soon.

Seriously if we are going to assume Critical hits now then we might as well remove 90% of all the counters ever posted. SDef Drops are valid but not likely enough to warrant being taken into consideration since it has one chance to drop it's special defense and even then it only happens 10% of the time...

Furthermore, considering a one time chance of 21% is pretty ridiculous imo, since we are safely allowed to assume that stuff like Stone Edge will hit once. If we start consiering stuff like that nearly none of the counters will work.

Ok guys I'm sorry for taking so long. I have points from the last two rounds. I'm sorry Round Two was so hard, I didn't mean for Sleep Powder to be a part of it and it really ruined things. It will not appear in future rounds
