League of Legends: Let's Talk About uhhh??

ty synre

anyway in response to jebus's post, control/farmer junglers still need to gank occasionally, so in that aspect she is inferior to Nunu, who is a both a control jungler and a farm jungler, and has his slow. she's also in competition with Lee Sin for that role, but Lee Sin has the advantage in that he is Lee Sin, the Blind Monk. she does have fantastic dragon/baron control, but so do Nunu and Cho'Gath. i want to see some more Shyvana play before getting a final opinion of her.

in response to the Shaco bullshit, they should've kept the reduced arming time, but w.e.

nunu doesn't want to farm he wants to be helping his team as much as possible because though he does a shit ton of damage, the items to do so are incredibly expensive and he won't get the money in the jungle (and you're better off with someone else in lane despite his good laning)

nunu's role in jungle is to mess with the other jungler (but NOT at the expense of his own leveling because nunu with a level advantage is insane) and mess with other lanes, making the early game as smooth for the other 4 members of his team as possible and if all you do is clear camps you may as well play someone who's good lategame like gangplank or warwick (or shyvana herpa derpa derp)

shyvana is basically a lee sin or udyr in terms of jungling - nice, fast clear times, contributes a lot to a team fight as long as you keep the jungle as your fourth lane and keep farming. saintvicious and lapaka (carry junglers) would love shyvana, theoddone and cyanide (support junglers) would not

Protip: Everyone who tells you Shyvana (or any other champion for that matter) is the same as another champion is wrong, and doesn't know what they're talking about.

It's hard to win when four of my past five Dominion games have been 4v5 efforts, in whole or in part. ~_~ The more I try to climb back up, the more I am screwed by the gods of video gaming and being kicked and laughed at by that shitty fucking map getting the best of me over and over and over through no fucking fault of my own. :pirate::pirate::pirate::pirate::pirate: Unfortunately, team game...

As for patch, fuck Shaco he deserved it. It's not like he needed a buff to his ganking anyway, something about having a stealth-Flash for positioning and adds bonus damage...? Keep in mind that buffing his base stats and the recent inability to destroy stealthed boxes with skillshots, even if you know where they are, still leaves him in a much better place than he was a few patches ago. Anything to reduce the instagib potential of stacked boxes is a good thing. They're still too strong in that sense but they can't be weakened too badly or it destroys his jungling, which is the only good thing he can do as it is. Likewise, the cast range buff could've been more than the pittance they gave... Talon should be a lot more manageable in lane now that he isn't effectively manaless and poor Olaf didn't get near the buffs he was implied to be receiving. :(

Shyvana's kit looks pretty strong but I haven't seen her much except in Dominion, solo queue for the night after Synre and co. all left. The only significant encounter I had with her was the one game mentioned above that wasn't 4v5 and I started out 9/0 as Fiddlesticks... not an accurate portrayal of her potential.

Standard Tanky Deeps looks like the correct build though. Buying Rageblade on her would be like buying Rageblade on Graves or whatever: she has minimal AP scaling that doesn't make sense to pursue. Triforce would probably be great on her, dunno if Twin Bite can multi-proc Sheen like Yi's passive copies procs, but regardless it's pretty good on any champion with the On-Hit Q (and her Skarner-like passive to boot). Failing that, Frozen Mallet Nocturne-style because it looks like all she has to do is stick for a few seconds and her skillset will take care of the rest.

And I think pookar's post is as dumb as when he said it in IRC. ;[ If anything, she's more like Garen. She shares very few similarities with Lee Sin.

The new hero is a reptilian humanoid Fury-user that has an autoattack reset that causes his next attack to attack twice, applying on-hit effects both times, an E that reduces the armor of everyone it hits, and an ultimate that transforms him into a more durable form. ;/

Obviously they aren't exactly the same, but I'm getting kind of tired of tanky melee heroes with an ability that applies onhit effects (usually in the form of an ability that resets their autoattack), gap closer, a cc, and some sort of utility that usually involves a self durability buff or durability debuff to their target.

Everytime I see the enemy has a jungle Shyvana I giggle and Phoenix Udyr counter jungle. She's not a good ganker so all you gotta do is steal her jungle xp and you've shut her down early on.

<pookar> LS passive = Shyvana's q -- ls passive is attackspeed increase while shyvanas q is a double AA
<pookar> cripple = aoe ms -- LS's aoe is smaller, i think, and slows, while shyvanas increases speed.
<pookar> ult=kick+q -- shyvana's ult: "skillshot" knockback, can effect multiple targets if aimed properly.
<pookar> skillshot arpen = q+e -- this one is the least similar, unless you consider LS' shield/iron will comparable to Shyvana's ULT passive. only similarity is the skillshot bit.

AND also they are both resourceless, with both of them having "fury/energy regen" abilities

at this point if you cant at least see the similarities ive laid out for you, you are being ignant

Just carried a game as Leona 14/3 and the enemy had Baron and two inhibs. They had an Udyr with 25 kills and our Jax was feeding, so it felt really good. My core was Atmog's + Triforce, the later I didn't even finish as the game ended but 170 AD, massive burst magic damage, huge defense steroids, and stun lock, I think I'm onto something. Only downside is she has trouble farming.

The only thing is I can't imagine that she could be nearly as damaging as another champ who wants to build Triforce Atmogs. She has a stun lock, but she just does less damage, and has Amumu syndrome, where she needs to land Zenith Blade to start anything, and Zenith Blade is not hard to dodge at all. That and 170 AD is nothing

Holy fuck I love AP Sion so much. You can do so much damage with just Sorc Boots and his abilities. At level 6 or something you can just Flash+Stun+Explode shield+Ignite and gg whoever you're laning against. He does just crazy damage, and running around with a 1k HP shield with a 3k hp bar already, you are hard as fuck to kill

I can vouch for the awesomeness that is AP Sion, but after reading TheRainMan's (i think it was his) Sion guide on solomid and testing it out, I am a 100% convert to Mobility Boots Sion.

I reckon AD Sion is more terrifying than AP...althought AP mid Sion is getting popular.

Ranked.png
First ranked game where I actually won. The best thing about it was in character lobby everyone discussed on what roles everyone was comfortable with playing. I managed to 3rd pick Caitlyn after my opponents after Alistar agreed to go support/baby sit. Our Xin got FB at level 2 and I got 2nd blood just after.
Honourable moment where Garen got a double kill at 25% after Jungler+Top lane dived.

It just feels good winning :)

Played my first Draft mode normal. Draft order is based on ranking, right? Their captain banned Singed and then our's banned Akali and Tryndamere. Their captain then banned Amumu. Our captain instalocked Kog'Maw and their captain instalocked Corki.

Teams ended up being:

Top: Galio vs. Teemo and Twitch
Jungle: Lee Sin vs. No one
Mid: Gangplank(me) vs. Graves
Bot: Taric and Kog vs. Sona and Corki

I went 2-0 in lane and Galio did alright because Lee Sin was really good but bot was feeding like shit. Sona was 6-0 at the point I was 2-0. Then Lee Sin and Galio b after a gank attempt top and the two bots plus Graves push mid hard and my bot didn't call MIA or come up to help until after I pinged. We got brutally slaughtered in the first few team fights. Once I got my items it was game over though. GP is such a beast in team fights. Dat Q.

draft order is only based on rating in ranked, it's random in normals (although any premades would go on top)

Cleanse will now remove summoner spell effects such as Ignite and Exhaust.

cleanse not removing exhaust was pretty stupid before... maybe they can do this for OLAF as well

Nerfing Flash the way they have is very strange considering there was a perfectly good way to nerf it defensively without sacrificing its offensive utility; not allowing it to be used when hit/in combat for a few seconds.

Flash nerf....thats terrible, I can think of so many times I've just barely flashed over a wall with the range it has right now. Doesnt seem viable anymore.Edit: Actually I think it gives you bonus range if your trying to flash over something extra large and you're positioned right but idk Im probably wrong.

The Flash nerf is terribly disappointing, and I'm sad that the sexy Clairvoyance is getting nerfed too. However, I am looking forward to "Surge", as I happen to like support roles. A decent support summoner spell combined with Auras and a support ability can make for some devastating wins (looking at you, Sona and SupportPlank).

I, too, can attest to the wonder of AP Sion, btw. Bought him a couple of days ago, after thinking about how cool Enrage wad. Then I saw his AP ratios on his q and w, and decided I had to do AP. Then I annihilated people (kinda). And THEN I found out there was a lot of hype over AP Sion, lol.

EDIT: Every time I go into the Smogon room on LoL, people are afk. What is up with that? I know it's a bit whiny on my part, but sometimes I wanna drop by and say hey, but I haven't gotten a response since the first time I went in (which was around level 8, and I'm level 30 now).

Wow, nerfing the numbers on flash again. Take a hint, Riot, blink is fundamentally an insanely powerful ability and letting just anyone have it regardless of skillset is overpowering. You NEED to rework it other than just going "Oh everyone's running it NERF IT AGAIN" because people will just switch to Ghost until it becomes worse than Flash (or until Heal/Cleanse actually become superior escape mechanisms...).

Also, I thought "Hurr the ability has a 10 minute cooldown so it's balanced" was a basic example of "bad game design," since it creates incredibly binary situations where if it's up you win if it's not you lose, since by nature of having such a long cooldown it's an incredibly powerful game changing effect.

Edit: Also flashing over walls is gonna be even stupider because their pathing or whatever is so picky about it so expect more flash fails.

Double Edit: Also making Flash work like Blink Dagger/Portal Key (if you took damage from heroes in the last x seconds you can't use it, but it has a relatively short cooldown) would remove the need to give every fucking melee hero a gap closer, as they could use Flash for that purpose.

I think I'm going to post this on GD.

I've been shitting on every mid champ in the game with Galio. Resolute Smite hurts like a mother fucker at low levels and when you throw an E out there you can wipe a minion wave like that. He also loves having a good ganking jungler because Galio sets everything up so well. I've just been rushing a Chalice and building tanky support ( Aegis, Reverie, sometimes taking CV if nobody else has it, Chalice, BV, GA, Mercs, occasional Abyssal Sceptor) and team fights are lol easy to win. I might also add that Galio is so fucking funny to play against Brand as, he hits you with a skill and your W heals off everything his passive does.

flash nerf will do NOTHING for the game, it'll just make flash-reliant champions (fiddles, alistar) worse, and laning will be even more passive as people wait for their 300 second flash cooldown or whatever it is

approve of cv nerf, its cd was far too short and made a lot of aggressive yet unsustainable junglers nigh useless (olaf, trynd [although trynd has other problems], gangplank for anything other than GANK GANK GANK GANK)
