League of Legends: Let's Talk About uhhh??

if you want to add me i am [dishyhips] :)! i've been using ashe but i was told my spirit champion was ahri so i purchased her and her midnight skin, and will probably be playing with her the rest of the night because yep, this game is pretty addicting, and even though the learning curve is steep it's a challenge, and i want to keep getting better RIGHT NOW.

if you want to play against bots with me let me know, haha

Go ahead and list what abilities a champ has. You can make anything sound OP that way.

The difference is that the Karma run down lacks context and is purposefully exaggerating, while everything he said about Nidalee is absolutely true. She is defined by her manaless and fast farming, ability to effortlessly escape when split pushing, and sniping ability. Any one of those niches would make her a valuable champ, and she has all three of them over Riven. Frankly, she was hurt far more way back when they nerfed the CD on her pounce.

But their players were able to compensate for Akali and Katarina's fragility-why can't you? Why is the other guy the only one who can adapt?

I'm done with this argument, I'm clearly not persuading you and you're never going to persuade me so we might as well just stop.

Uh, Warmogs is core on Nidalee too...

arguments have potential until it becomes two people butting heads and refusing to give way and i'm tired of this topic anyway. my last word on the topic is that tanky dps nidalee was great because she could build damage and health and still be pretty tanky due to free stats from her passive comboed with her heal

fishy, ahri is very fun and very good

of the people in the smogon section of my friends list who aren't level 30 yet, kittenmay is level 25 right now so you may want to join up with her if you're looking for newer players to queue with

also i have seen two solo top tarics today so far and his passive actually makes him hurt a LOT once he gets a stacked tear

I'm confused about how any player can find Akali enjoyable or even playable. It seems to me that she loses exchanges to nearly every champ who bothers putting a pink down in the lane.

Maybe it's because I run MPen Marks/Movespeed Quints? But I don't think so. I've played Akali game after game with dismal performance every time, and I've tried different specs.

I seriously give up. I hate this champ, I think she's trash tier, and nothing will change my mind short of a Korean using it in a tournament.

try flat AP over MS

akali is extremely powerful. her pre-6 is weak but she definitely doesn't lose every trade. her burst at 6 is very stupid and she can kill you from 80% health if you misplay. it's very difficult to stop her from farming since she can Q minions from inside her shroud. even if you dump on her in lane, as long as she gets farm, she can still demolish your backline in teamfights if played properly. she definitely gets hard countered by a few champions but she's one of the best champions in solo queue and certainly not "trash tier".

her buffs made her pretty strong but westrice in particular is famous for destroying people with her throughout all of season 2. voyboy also plays a mean akali, and wickd has been using her in tournament play to varying degrees of success

tbh it's about learning to control her burst and knowing how to play matchups. i find her a lot of fun, personally

In my last game I got completely destroyed by an Irelia who bought 5 pinks in 18 minutes, then proceeded to endlessly talk trash about it. It was quite discouraging, as one would expect. Especially because it was an Irelia, and Gambit Diamond said Irelia was a garbage champion. In that light, losing to one doesn't feel that great. :(

i've been meaning to test out bork on irelia because it seems really stupid

mtr: irelia's difficult to deal with but if she's blowing a lot of money on pink wards then that means you can just play a more passive farm game and get built up to the point where you can 100-0 their AD carry later on instead of engaging irelia directly

alternatively push out your wave and poke her down with Qs then roam mid

I'm not sure if I want Ahri or Hecarim.

Ahri is never seen.. and is fairly dynamic. Burst mage + HP stacking= not good meta for her.
Hecarim is a great jungler.. but just not that enjoyable. AP Hecarim seems like it would be a monster though.

Ahri's still pretty good right now-I don't think she's weak at all. She's just not FoTM right now and so everyone thinks she's weak, even though she's perfectly viable.

Who the hell ever said she was a burst mage? Low cooldowns, high mobility, supreme kiting, she's she's always taken her time to kill foes. She just tend to ks a lot.

wat is your basis for the statement that hecarim isnt enjoyable? if its personal experience obviously i won't convince you otherwise but if you haven't tried him before i think you may be surprised. you get to run around really fast with his e and with two ways of hard engaging squishies i find that it's quite satisfying to play him. plus he is an op champ and that means you usually get fed and getting fed is fun.

hecarim is incredibly fun, what are you talking about? you get to run at 1000 MS into an entire enemy team and smash your face on the keyboard

Yes, Ahri is a burst mage in my opinion. I mean, isn't she labeled as an assassin mage..

Hecarim's skills bug me to no end..

Passive.. 1 skill of his acts upon his passive and it only last a few seconds.
Q.. feels like a skill that should have ramp-up attitude. Like.. stacking +5 MoveSpeed per champion hit. The one second less cooldown.. don't feel wholesome.
W.. is a skill that is skill-less. Use and forget.
E.. Awesome, you gain a ton of movespeed... but it ends after you charge someone. The stun duration and animation is just ugly. Long cool-down.. justifiable however. The only skill that has any direct interaction with his passive.
R.. This is a cool-skill.

...
Prolly still pick-up Hecarim.

BOTRK is the new Black Cleaver.

I really hope Riot realizes how ridiculous it is and nerfs it next patch.

Still, not sure I want to wait around for two goddamn weeks with it dominating everything.

Honestly, the best thing about Hecarim is using your ultimate to go through walls and scare the living shit out of people.

I agreed with Doublelift when he said that if they buffed it it would be ridiculously OP.

Buying it on every champion now because I want to ride the wave until BotRK gets overnerfed into wherever items go when they get overnerfed. gunblade land?

I was bored tonight, and this was my most recent brain child. AP Hecarim. Results were shockingly overpowered.

not even 220 cs on anyone after 35min, nearly a death a minute for purple and over a death a minute for blue as teams, terrible morde and elise builds yet the rest seem to be able to functionally buy proper items..........

hmmm, place it around 925 elo myself.
