League of Legends: Let's Talk About uhhh??

i'm trying to pick up adc since i'm not able to carry hard enough when i play my favorite tanky junglers, who are some good champions to begin with? i played 5 games on ashe and did pretty well, then tried vayne for a couple games and got shit on by the opposing caitlyn both times.

edit: jibaku i also tried tristana but she seems to have a really hard mid game which is where games are won and lost at lower ELO ~_~ i'll try graves/cait though, thanks
 
I find Miss Fortune to be by far and away the easiet ADC to pick up and play and shes strong at all points in the game (ult in mid game team fights is really strong)
 
dont ever pick vayne in2 cait, its almost a 100% loss

also not sure y evry1 is saying tank junglers r so hard to carry with, its the 2nd eziest way to farm elo, next to mid
 
The problem is when I nail the perfect engage and all my damage dealers just dick around and don't kill anything.
 
So I just helped Renosaur get to Gold V, but in the process got dropped down to Silver 3. A sacrifice I was willing to make!

jk seriously tho, I'm up for promos in Silver 3 so it shouldn't be tough to get back up to Silver 2 from that drop...

both times i picked vayne then they picked cait into it so yeah

and i main nocturne and zac in jungle, theyre both hard initiators and bring a lot of utility to teamfights, but the problem is i'll go dive the opponents under tower or something in a 3v2 scenario and my 2 teammates wont follow up because they are afraid of turret aggro when im already tanking tower for them...its like class a retards playing the carries every time

I was discussing with Acklow before if the average smogon rank sits around Gold IV/V...?
 
caitlyn/twitch/ezreal are so easy and are my go-to AD carries

they're pretty forgiving about your positioning

ezreal is probably the easiest for first-time ADC players because he has an AA reset (making CSing very easy in lane) and has a built-in blink
however he is a completely different style of AD from most other champions especially if you go blue build, meaning that you might pick up some bad late-game habits if you only play ez

caitlyn has SUPER long range and it is nearly impossible to lose lane with her. E+Q+R can surprise people at lower ELOs with just how much burst it is. she doesn't have a bad matchup and she works well with every support. late game you just pummel people from the back line and net out when bruisers jump on you

twitch is the hardest of the three but offers ludicrously long range when his ultimate is active. positioning isn't AS important when you're hitting people from 1100 range, so twitch will improve your lane mechanics greatly because he can be extremely aggressive and can snowball a bottom lane in the first few minutes of the game

Wait wtf ezreal has an AA reset... I've mained him forever and I didn't know this.
 
Caitlyn is fun, if only her autoattack animation wasn't so wonky. I always had trouble with her for some reason.

i don't think so, especially if you factor in people who don't play ranked. a lot of the silvers have gotten gold this year though and we've gotten a bunch of plats now so who knows

and congrats reno (and tanner)~

i mean i run 21/6/3 for the mana regen and i go blue build so i basically never have problems with mana in lane

as long as you don't spam arcane shift you'll be fine
 
jebus doesnt blue build seem a little underwhelming in the early/mid game now that tear takes ~10 mins longer to stack? feels like your power spike comes wayyy later than it's supposed to.

also interested to hear how you do your blue build, since it's changed a bit since 3.8 - basically no one goes for elder lizard anymore and it seems like the most common final build is cooldown boots, iceborn gauntlet, muramana, last whisper, bloodthirster/botrk, merc scimitar/ga/banshee's.

TriForce is beast again, some people say the item was overbuffed.

And if TriForce is beast, that means Irelia is beast!

I don't remember who is legit gold and which of you got elo boosted by IPL early on in the season, so I just ignore all of it until you reach plat.

IPL got me Victorious Janna last season, but I got to Gold 1 myself this time huehue.
