Two-part annoyance about the removal of game corners.
- To the people who are upset about their removal:
- Why? Their only purpose was to lock certain TMs and Pokemon behind huge paywalls, because actually earning enough coins from the "games" just isn't feasible. It's all the boring skinnerbox buttom pushing of regular casinos, with none of the extra things that apparently make actual casinos not boring. I'm confident that most of the people upset about them getting cut don't actually care about the game corners themselves, and just upset because "they're tradition" or whatever.
- To Game Freak:
- Have y'all never heard of arcades? A lot of them give out tickets as a reward for their games, which can be traded in for prizes. Using arcades instead of casinos would keep the general format of the game corners, and I think the coin system that was used before game corners were cut was already more similar to the ticket system of arcades (I think; I don't actually know how rewards work in actual casinos). Finally, an arcade in place of a casino would allow you to put in minigames that are actually somewhat fun instead of just being "press a button and hope for the best".
