Most Generation PRNG Help / Information

Yea I guess that math is right. You can check if the target you are going for repeats. If it does, go for the lowest one it does, (ex. 894, 896, 898). Target 894 with 2 patches showing up. If 3 really came up, it would go to frame 896, which is still good, and with 4 patches it goes to 898, which still works. So pretty much find one that works 3 in a row like this and use the lowest for the target frame and do the math for 2 patches showing up.
I thought the encounter slot still had to match?
And I tried it and it didn't work. Instead of Adamant 31/31/31/x/31/31 I got Calm 1/11/19/9/28/11. Which has frames 845, 851, 879, 909, 927, and higher ones. Not sure which one I actually hit..

Welcome to the world of getting screwed by the radar.

If you attempt it again, good luck. If you can repeat the same thing twice, try to.

Also, the encounter slots seem to get written over sometimes by chaining. So regardless of what it says, sometimes you will get your target. If you can, go for the correct encounter slot, but if what happened last time occurs again, try what I suggested.

I'll try again tomorrow, thanks for the help.

Does the "Got POKEMON from PLAYER." entry in the journal make that page count or not? I wasn't specifically mentioned, but I don't want to take any risks since I got the right flips.

How do you RNG abuse for Wondercard pokemon? Like is it just a Method 1, or what? I know how to abuse for wilds and eggs, so I don't need to much of an in-depth description.

I'm pretty sure it's a silly question, but I need a tad of reassurance... Right now the Day-Care Old Man is holding an Shiny Eevee egg, with the perfect nature, ability and gender... The thing is, I had to change the year to 2008 to get a good delay and few flips/taps for that egg. If I put the clock back to 2009 (for good IV's), the old man will still be holding it, right?

I'm trying to hatch a Shiny Nidoran M, but both times I gotten Nidoran F. What do I do wrong? I've choosen male eggs both times :/

You are using the DPPt Time Finder - DPPt Shiny Egg right?
If you are, then you have have to select "Fixed Gender/ Genderless" on the Gender Ratio Box. Because if you look at a comprehensive pokédex (like Serebi's or Psypoke's) you'll see Nidoran M have a gender ratio of 100% males to 0% females.

Hey, can somebody trade with me and tell me my SID? I need to give a migrated pokemon from Emerald, correct?

Also, I've read that to get shinies you need the ID and SID. Which one is the ID, the 5 digit one in the Trainer Card?

Last question, when RNG'ing for shinies in Emerald (method 2), does synchonize work (skipping ahead to closest target nature spread, in this case, shiny)?

Not the right thread to ask for help with this.

Yes, or you can look at the ID of any one of your Pokemon.

Yes, but you can still get frames between target and the previous frame of the same nature because synchronize only works 50% of the time.

Just thought I'd mention, I'm attempting some HGSS RNG abuse for Rayquaza. Will post a picture if I hit it, or some information if I don't. Seeing as obviously there's no pokétch, I've got a target with a low frame number (11/13/17/21/29/33/35/37). What I'm going to do is have a party of 3, and work out 896 steps with some repels and then physical counting (eek) and it should work. It's annoying that all the lower frames are all prime numbers. I'm assuming frame 1 and the same "Every 128 steps" rule as D/P/Pt.

Just, how would I know I've hit the seed? Any ideas?

You could try checking your pokémon's reactions, but not only it advances thr RNG (the lowest advancement I got was 19), but you also have to check it by yourself, writing down a chain of reactions of the pokémon in that specific area and then checking your seed catching a pokémon. Not the most optimal option.

But why bother? Your frames are so low, you should just have a party of 5 pokémon and walk 256 steps instead.

Oh jeez, forgot about that. Thanks for pointing it out rofl.

I was thinking 256 steps with a party of 5'd take me to frame 10 (forgot that it starts on 1). But wow that's excellent. I just use a max repel then take 6 steps after it's run out. Thanks so much lol.
