Just to be sure, can you check if the Pokédex shows it as black instead of green? I know DPPt only shows the pokémon as shiny the first time you catch it, but who knows, they might have changed it in HGSS...

Ok two more quick questions ;

1.Do roamers advance the IRNG?

2.When you are asked to do a certain number a flips and taps, does it assume you switched to the happiness checker after confirming your seed.

For example; If it asks for 17 taps, does this include switching to the app and then doing 17 taps,or switching to the app and doing 16 taps since switching to the app is the equivalent of one tap?
1) No, they don't. They only affect the one for Method J and Method 1. The IRNG isn't affected by it.
2) It should if you are using the RNG reporter. If you're talking about using the feature to find shiny eggs, I'm not sure but I would assume not since all your doing is trying to hit your delay and testing by coin flips. But I'm not 100% sure on that.

Something really weird has been happening to me lately. Is it possible to save on a certain frame for eggs? In the past, I've been consistently hitting frame 5 but now for some reason I'm getting frames 8 and 9 with no explanation whatsoever. I've been getting these high frames no matter how quickly I hit A when I collect the egg. I checked my time, coin flips, and everything else so it's not an issue of having an incorrect seed.
Do you mean that on previous breeds you've been on frame five, or that you've been on the same egg w/ the same save file and it's changed? If it's the first, you're not going to always start on frame 5 for each egg. It depends on when the NPC are set to move when you save, so it can change every time you save. If not, then it may be that the journal is poping up, which it might not have done originally.

So let me make sure I've got this right. In sandstorm or hail, to find the seed I hit, I use sweet scent and catch a wild pokemon, narrow down its IVs, and see if the IVs match up with my desired seed?

Quick question. I'm currently trying to RNG torn world Giratino-O. I hit my frame and did the appropriate number of journal flips-12 for his starting frame and I came up 33 frames above what I was aiming for. This makes me think there are some NPCs or something moving around that I'm not aware of. Can anyone else confirm this for me? Or is there something that I'm missing?

Giratina in the Torn World has a frame of 12. If you use the Journal, his Monster Frame changes to 23, so use that number for your calculations. It sounds like you're using a synchronizer, which would increase the appearance of some spreads in multiple frames.

Yes.

Sorry another legendary bird question...

So i have RNGed and caught articuno, but moltres and zapdos are still running about, do i have to KO them before beating the elite 4 again to have their IVs and natures reset. Or simply, can i just beat the elite 4 again to have their natures and IVs reset?

You have to defeat them and beat the elite four, then do the same process for your next bird when you talk to oak. The remaining two birds will have monster frames of 1 and 6.

Nope, just the same. :P
They should really have the shiny variations under the forms tab.

hmm there's one thing I don't get about roaming RNGing.
If I wanna respawn Raikou and Entei as it being the only option right now,
and I faint it, beat the elite 4 and wanna battle it again:
Do I have to hit my delay and seed before I battle the champ and advance the frame then, or after I beat him? Do I have to talk to a prof like it was the case for the birds? Any infos yet?

According to Red Phoenix, you have to hit your seed before battling the final champion. You can try and do it before you battle any of them, or get to lance and SR in there. You have to make sure on your 128 steps. Check the other RNG research thread, but don't ask a question there. It should be posted in there somewhere.

As far as I know it's PID is created after you've solved the clefairy doll incident and leaving the pokeclub house.
So yeah probably abuseable.
LightningFusion: Yeah I get that so far. Now I hit my seed before battling any of them but actually till I defeat them and stuff my frame probably gets advanced as well won't it? So maybe hitting your seed in front of lance is better in order not to mess up?

Apparently, the battles don't advance the RNG at all for the method 1 RNG. So doing it before or after won't matter. Just remember, if you do it before the E4, you have to battle them all and keep track of your steps.

Also, if you hit the wrong seed, you have to kill it and go to E4 again.

Your frame doesn't advance since those battles use a different RNG, but the 128 steps may still mess you up.
The best thing you can do is to save in front of lance and then you can hit your seed, but keep in mind that you can't verify which seed you hit, so for each try you'll have to do the E4 again, unless you use save states.
EDIT:Beaten. ;)

Just a quick question. I've been trying to find some good shiny spreads. Is there another method to find spreads besides the capture tap on time finder? I've seen people talking about getting 1000+ delay spreads, but RNG reporter only allows spreads of maximum 999.

EDIT: Also, does anyone know how to figure out what spot to catch Feebas in Mt. Coronet? (I want a Dive Ball Feebas, but can't find any reference to finding which tile to fish on)

Use Wichu's programm on the second post, once you find a spread you like
go to SEED to TIME in the RNG Reporter and insert your seed.

Alright, and one more question, does using the PC after receiving egg after performing coin flips(for hatching shiny pokemon) effect anything? I just forgot a pokemon with flame body 0_o.

I do that all the time XP

Nop, messing around with the PC and Boxes doesn't affect the egg at all.

NPCs that don't move, or move in a fixed pattern (e.g. the Buneary by Daycare) do not affect the RNG. You can try to re-battle moving NPCs if they are trainers using the VS Seeker, since they stop moving around after you defeat them.
