There are many routes where you can disable all movable NPCs once you battle them with vs seeker so long as you stay in that route. clear example is route 207 for starters.
It's very situtational, but sweet scenting is how I checked my seed for my Raikou/Entei and Ho-Oh. I just tried to hit my seed, sweet scented, plugged it into RNG reporter until I actually hit my seed, then wrote down that pokes info so if that poke didn't pop up immediately, I just Reset and tried again. My friend wants to PRNG on Heart Gold and he neither knows how to boost the Frame nor how to check whether he got his Delay...
Search this thread for the word "detune" and you'll find a post a while back about it. It will explain everything you need to know.Ok im trying to RNG on HG but im a little confused about how tuning/detuning the radio advances the RNG and what by?
You can either set your year forward by 2 to make your target delay the same as your calibrated delay, or search for another seed with the calibrated delay. Trying to time out a finger twitch to a sixtieth (spell?) of a second doesn't seem to be working for you. Bearsfan's videos are on the the first page of this thread, or can just search youtube and find them. For the past week or two, I've been trying to figure out RNG abuse in Platinum. I managed to hatch a shiny Magikarp after some struggles with chaining and my SID. That part was easier than I thought it would be.
But right now, I'm having some trouble resetting for IVs. I calibrated myself properly, picked a spread, and am saved in front of the Day Care Man. But I keep missing the delay... by two. I've tried about twenty times, most of them landing on 604 (I'm aiming for 606). Is this normal? The one time I did land on 606, I must've missed the frame, because the IVs were all wrong. How fast does the frame increase once you've started your game? My "calibration" had me at 12 frames between the time I "continued" and the time I talked to the Day Care man. Does it really move that fast?
Also, are there videos of people doing this available? I think it would help me if I saw someone else going through the process.
No, once you've got the journal open, they do not advance the frames. However, you may try saving a few times to find a moment when the, uh, Oreburg lady doesn't move, and then try to recalibrate your frame.Do the NPCs affect the frames even if I have the Journal open, and by how much do they generally advance the frames?
I want to kill the bitch in the Oreburg museum >:(
The Current Pokemon of the Day at the Trophy Garden is Encounter Slot 6 and the Previos one is 7What encouter slot do trophy garden daily pokemon use
ThanksThe Current Pokemon of the Day at the Trophy Garden is Encounter Slot 6 and the Previos one is 7
My current frame is 7,
target is 9, which means 1 journal flip,
my journal starts on 1 flip,
so I start, and it says the frame I got was 10. Why?
Your frame moved. Maybe because a NPC moved before you talked to the day care man.My current frame is 7,

OK thanks!Your frame moved. Maybe because a NPC moved before you talked to the day care man.
In the journal, what counts as a flip?
Caught, of defeted?
OK thank you so much!when you talk to the guy try slowing down a bit. Quickly start talking to him so that noone moves then go a little slower than you normally do.
