Correct. If they're trainers, battle them to stop their movement. So the frame is advanced by any moving npc on the route even if you're not close to them?

Split is off of Normal mode where it takes half the IVs from one spread and half from the next. If they would occur at the same time (ex 1000 and 1000s) I'm not sure how often the game decides which one to give you. I've noticed that it's generally only one or the other. So if you enter the IVs of the egg you hatched in RNG Reporter on the main window (selecting Emerald Breeding (Splits) and leaving the Seed blank) it would tell you exactly what frames are possible for the spread you hit (it's fairly accurate as long as you have an idea of around what frame you hit). If you hit a split frame keep trying and if you keep getting split frames go for a split spread. I've yet to use a split spread though.
Edit: It turns out that I was wrong about losing Alternate Inheritance if you turn your system off... I thought in my heat that it would happen but I guess not because I'm not losing it. :D
Well there is the problem. There are a good amount of moving NPCs there, and the time it takes to check the delay, you already have a really good amount of frames advanced.
I went to the water outside Fuego Ironworks instead where there are no NPCs and hit the correct Shellos on the first try! Thanks a lot for helping me hit my first RNG pokemon!
No duh. Then no one would have one in a custom Pokeball. Is it even possible to get feebas shiny (without memory hacks/AR) or will the frames always skip over feebas?
What is known about the encounter slots?
Also, does advancing with sweet scent on water not work, meaning advancing unpredictably? From my tests, only journal flips yielded predictable results. No duh. Then no one would have one in a custom Pokeball.
Feebas has no encounter slots, or it's not possible to determine them. (To my knowledge.) You'll have get lucky in encountering it. Try it out with different slots, eventually one will wield Feebas.
You can't encounter it by sweet scenting. Only by the rods. (I think Super Rod only catches Feebas in Platinum, I forgot)Also, does advancing with sweet scent on water not work, meaning advancing unpredictably? From my tests, only journal flips yielded predictable results.
I meant advancing frames, strictly advancing frames. I am aware that feebas can only be encountered by a rod (preferably super rod). I find it annoying to do 300+ journal flips every time, so I was wondering if others knew whether or not sweet scenting on water works or not for advancing frames with predictable results (i haven't had succes in advancing frames predictably with sweet scent on water). You can't encounter it by sweet scenting. I have a suspicion that maybe the rng calls for sweet scenting on water and fishing are separate and unrelated, but it's only a suspicion due to my failed results.
If you already did, wait. Someone will help eventually. FYI, you'll need to post more info than that. (On the other thread, of course.)Im looking to catch a shiny litwick with hp ground 70 on top of celestial tower but I can't hit my IVs for some reason. I posted in the other RNG thread, I would appreciate if one of you could have a look :(
Like origin forme said..you 1st hatch the eggs and check it's nature etc and then proceed with the ivsI'm trying to bred a naive 31/31/31/30/31/31 wailmer on emerald
I used 2 wailmer, both with everstone and naive nature
I've hit the right frame and I've got the right IVs,but all the eggs which I have hatched(the 5/6 to check my frame) were modest nature(and the naive hp elettric too),why?
I'm trying to capture Sudowoodo on my new SS game, but I can't seem to get the right frame for some reason.
Seed: 9B1609A3
ID: 05647
SID: 41904
Shiny frame is 16, so when I hit my delay, I advance to frame 15 and talk to Sudowoodo as fast as I can. Encountered Sudowoodo, caught it, and the results I got are the stats from frame 17. So, after that I've tried to advance to frame 14 in stead. When I did that, I caught Sudowoodo, checked it stats, and found out I got the one from frame 15.. What am I doing wrong here?
I'm trying to RNG for a specific TID using Pandora's Box. Whenever it says that it has found a seed though, I cancel the search and the TID appears as 0, and I don't know what it means. (4th Gen)
Aren't you meant to advance to frame 16? That's what I did when catching my Ho-Oh.
Also, any help?
I'm having some trouble RNGing my TID/SID on a Soulsilver cart. The seed is 31102362, and the TID/SID are 23532/52702. I'm trying to hit it on 9/1/2011 at 16:00:40
The delay I'm trying to hit is 9047, but every time I hit it it's on second 41... so is any delay just after it. The delays before it are on second 40, but when I hit it on 9047. I can't think of any way to change what I'm doing to make it hit on second 40. Is there anything I'm doing blatantly wrong from what I've written? If I need to I can find more info.
I'm using EonTimer.
