All year long, when LA makes a concerted effort to center the offense around Gasol, they're very, very hard to stop. Ever since they got him last year and I saw him and Odom and later Bynum playing tippy tap in the paint as well as high post/low post reversals, I really think Kobe doesn't even need to average more than 22-24 points per for that team to dominate. I used to have a statistic somewhere that showed when Gasol was the top scorer for LA their record was something like 90 percent...Lemme try and find it.
And I agree with NightFalcon, the incredible season CP3 just had as a point guard in history's perspective has been lost in the Kobe/Lebron media mire. Considering Chandler's injury problems, the step back West took this year, the absence of any competent back up point guard whatsoever, and Byron Scott, the consistent dominance that Paul had to put on every night just for the Hornets to compete is just mindboggling. And, I mean, as a basketball watcher, isn't it so enjoyable to watch this guy come down the court and make great decisions time and time again at a assist/turnover ratio unprecedented among the elite one guards? He's not a physical beast like LBJ, or a scoring machine like Kobe, he's like this puny 6 foot guy who dominates the game!
