Thanks for posting that, Tsunami.

On all of the confirmed events, bar the World Championships it's going to run like so:
Senior Registration: 8:30 - 9:30 A.M.
Junior Registration: 11:30 A.M - 12:30 P.M.

Which basically, means seniors first this time. Unless this is what happened last time? I doubt they'd make seniors wait out that time, but this is Nintendo..

The juniors had registration before the seniors did last year I believe. ;)

What.The.Fuck. Does anyone notice how they left out THE THREE LARGEST CITIES IN THE UNITED STATES (NYC, LA, Chicago, in that order)? There isn't even a fucking stop in the Midwest! Tennessee is in the fucking South, but I'll see what I can do about attending that one (as all the others are during the school year, and thus I can't leave town for long enough to go to them). The only other one that I would even have the option of going to is PA, but most of the good smogoners will be going to that one, so I may wish to avoid that if I want to win.

Oh come on, not one in Minneapolis or Chicago. Guess I won't be going.

Don't know if people saw this but:

It is not necessary to win a Regional Championship Event to attend the National Championships, so even if you haven't participated in a tournament this season you're welcome to play!

What the hell is the point of the regionals then? Just to get free travel to St Louis and a plaque? I kinda want that plaque though.

Also (good news skarm and other canadians):

Do I have to be a US resident to participate in these events?

These events are open to all players, regardless of residency. The only stipulation is that the player must use a North American version of Pokémon Platinum Version.

and

Exactly 128 participants per age division will be selected to play in each event*. If 128 or fewer attendees register during the check-in period, all will be selected to play. If more than 128 attendees register during the check-in period, 128 competitors will be selected, at random, from those players registered on site to participate.

128 wow can't say I expended that. Random drawing is still lame as hell but will that many people really show up? Maybe Ill take the trip to St. Louis, but then again it would suck to go all that way and not get in.

sorry i couldnt find it by can some answer this for me, is it too late to sign up, and is it in canada? is for where? thanks alot for answering

Hmm...2 hours and 40 something minutes from here....

Wonder if I'll be able to make it...

Thanks for the info though. It's pretty disappointing that only a handful of locations are selected as oppposed to Japan's numerous qualifyers (is it?)

Oh wait, the UK Tournament has been announced.

Exam time for a lot of people, it could be difficult for me to attend but I'm going to try my best.

I probably won't be able to attend then. As you stated, it's exam time for a lot of people, and unfortunately I have my GCSEs then. :(

I'll probably still theorymon a team though, because it's fun and I enjoy it.

*One competitor spot will be reserved for a VIP attendee at the San Francisco event. Up to 127 participants will be selected for the Senior Division at this event.

What the hell, lol. Going to sell my Pokemon merchandise now.

Edit: Huh, it doesn't say that it's only open to US residents under eligibility. Maybe I should try to pull a skarm or something.

Check the frequency asked questions part Duckster, you might be surprised :)

I'll be attending Philly(hopefully), it's closer than NY for me so that's good, I wish there was another tournament on the east coast though, so I could have 2 chances(people living in the west coast will likely be able to attend two events) since only the top 4 make it(3rd and 4th still have to pay unfortunately).

Oh come on...

My luck is shot to hell now. The closest area to my area is Philadelphia (like 2 and a half hours). Since only top 4 get in, I'm going to have to push myself to the extreme for my teams. Thankfully, the opponents can only use the 6 pokemon on their list, which means screen looking is advantageous.

EFFIN EFFIN EFF!!!! I live 20 minutes away from where the nationals will be held BUT I HAVE TO DRIVE TO NASHVILLE TO QUALIFY!!! Oh well...I'll see if my brother will split the gas with me... :(

Of course the part that really sucks is that only 128 from each seniors or juniors at each regional event can participate while all the rest can at least get a shiny milotic as a consolation prize just for showing up.

No you dont...Nationals is an open event. Worlds is the only Invite only event. But sence this is THE tournament to win to get to worlds, there are going to be alot of people in the random pool.

the only way to GARUNTEE entry into nationals is to get Top 4 at a regional.

"It is not necessary to win a Regional Championship Event to attend the National Championships, so even if you haven't participated in a tournament this season you're welcome to play! "

Whats really cool, at nationals you only have to win 3 straight games to make it to worlds :-)

BTW-
Ok people, i spoke with Mike Liesik, Head of tournament operations about the "Acid Rain" Glitch as many like to call it.

here is what he had to say:
Mike Liesik said:
we're aware of the glitch and will have policies in place to deal with it should it occur at one of the events. Thanks for checking, though.

Alright, so my guess was off about the stops, but this is still pretty sweet nonetheless. Seniors get to go earlier this time, but I'm not so sure that's a good thing, heh. I like my sleep. ;3

I'll try to get to Philadelphia, been there a few times, it's not too far from where I live. Seems like the majority of Smogonites will be showing up there, so this should be a blast!

Edit: For Vash~

just wondering is it in michigan or only those place that i keep seeing over and over? like for something this big there are like 6 places =/ i dont think in canada im even close to those places =(?

I don't have a team, I have too much work to do, and May is just around the corner. Phoenix is too far for me to drive. Barring a miracle, I won't be able to participate.

Good luck guys
