The OMPL hosts and team management have decided for our draft to be on Sunday April 12th at 6 PM Eastern (GMT -4)

On another note we have also decided to only enable managers to buy themselves before the draft begins. This is how it worked in other successful premier league tournaments and through testing by mock it otherwise created a dilemma for all other drafters with a clear uncertainty of whether or not other managers are going to buy themselves. This allows for many managers to take full advantage of this strategy and save up their credits long enough to make a decision on whether they're good enough to put themselves in after taking players other teams could've wanted had the manager bought themselves early on instead.
To elaborate:
Drafting is complicated and who managers want to draft at each moment often depends on the players other teams have acquired. All managers in some form want to prevent at least two specific players from playing on the same team and many of our managers this year are known to be high quality players. Managers being able to put themselves in whenever they want can disrupt any attempt to prevent a set combination of other high quality players from being on the same team allowing them to create broken teams more easily and for the draft to become more chaotic.
Because of all this, we've concluded that allowing managers to draft themselves during the draft would be unfair and decided they can only do so prior to the real draft.
