So is GF running out of rodents to slap electric cheeks on, or did they forget they already did "elesquirrel"? Bet that was a big "oh shit" moment in the designing room.
"Hey, electric squirrel was pretty awesome, but how do we top it?"
"Electric FLYING squirrel?"
"BRILLIANT YOU GET A RAISE"

Seriously I wish so much that Gamefreak would, like, do an interview or release a book on the design process of each generation.

Yeah, I am a little pissed Emonga is probably not a Pachirisu evo. I was sorta hoping it would be here to prove or disprove it but even if it had been in Corocoro it looks like it wouldn't have been definitive anyway. It seems like such a natural progression for Pachirisu to evolve into a flying squirrel. I would think they would have gone with a totally different kind of rodent, or at least not keep the same primary color as the previous gen's Pikachu. But oh well, I guess it can't be helped.

I wouldn't mind seeing such an interview or book myself.

You can actually see a bit of the development process in the index values of moves and stuff like that

BTW I like my new sig

So... This trainer item use during battle thing?........

Sacred Ash says Hi.

EDIT: Didn't notice this was said about 10 pages back. Apologies. >:

Sacred Ash is an out of battle item only

Honestly I wonder if there will be limits on the Miracle Shooter. Maybe you won't be able to use things such as Full Restores or the Revives.

You can't use Sacred Ash in battle. Don't jump to conclusions. We don't even know exactly how the Miracle Shooter works. I honestly don't think items, if there is some sort of limitation, will be that bad in a metagame where everything can kill you in only two or three hits, but maybe I'm underestimating the impact. It might even help tanks with no form of reliable recovery. Regardless, you can't use items willy-nilly since you have to build up "points" or whatever.

EDIT: ninja'd

Am I the only person who thinks Gigaiasu will have an prevo?

Fixed that for you.

I honestly feel that a giant rock moster is more likely to have a pre-evolution; the fact that it shares a great body similarity with heatran ( I know this means nothing; just putting it out there) also gives me the feel that it won't evolve.

...

This is somehow less original than the 5 electric mice we have?

Seriously people, just because it's new doesn't mean it's bad T___T

And hell, I'd say there's a bigger difference between Emonga and Pachirisu than there is between Pichu/Plusle/Minun.

At least it has cool typing.

Didn't say it was bad. Just thought they would save the electric squirrel category for Pachirisu is all.

If I had to make an estimated guess how Miracle Shooter works, I would assume by either causing damage or by each turn taken, each team gathers a point, perhaps more for causing KOs though. I would think that perhaps something simple, say, Antidote, would cost around 15 points, Potion variants at 25 or so, and perhaps upwards of 60+ for Full Restore.

HOWEVER, I think even Miracle Shooter will have limits. While I can see X Items being encouraged in this metagame, things like Revive will likely stay banned. Let's face it: If it's downed in battle, it should STAY downed.

But then again, we are likely to make a No-Item/Miracle Shooter clause anyway.

I love the deer Pokemon, I hope it's decent competitively <3

But it probably won't be. Apparently non-legendary cute Pokemon can't be very strong :/

I think it would be great if Shikijika had a different type evolution depending on what season it evolves. It would be kinda like Burmy, but possibly less suckish.

About Miracle Shooter: as long as there's a way to turn it off, I don't really care what they do for it. It could possibly be an intriguing addition to battling as an option.

You have to admit the majority of the cute, little Pokemon are mostly in the lower tiers :P

I can't wait to use the deer on a sunny day team though, those are my specialty :D

I agree on that idea.
However, you can't do anything for the random wifi battles :x

If it's summer evolution became Fire/Grass we'd have our first Chlorophyll abuser with Fire STAB.
That alone would give it some level of popularity as a potential Kingdra of the sun.

BTW, there is still stuff to be translated because no one has mentioned that Moguryu is using the same attack we saw its evolution use against Denchura in that video way back.
I think it was translated as "Drill Liner" then. http://pokebeach.com/news/0810/corocoro/corocoro-2.jpg

Considering that it's normal/grass it will probably become normal/whatever if it evolves.

Spring=normal/grass
summer=normal/water
fall=normal/fire
winter=normal/ice

Those would be my guesses.

Normal/ Water for summer? 0.o

I'm going to say for Summer - Fire. Winter - Ice. Spring - Normal. Fall - Psychic/ Ghost/ misc. :O

However much I agree with your guess, Having Grass as the carry-over type would open up many new type combinations that have not been seen as of yet.

Personally, though, I think that it's just going to turn out like Shellos and only be for visual purposes.

I think we're all missing the big picture here: they're going to have a new, really annoying Tentacruel pokemon to destroy our surfing endeavors. This is tragic.
