Nah, compared to last year, new teams are being used more often.
I've seen a few of them [TR Teams] around.
You shouldn't be too fearful of them, though.
And I'm going by myself.
A little bit intimidating, but I'm sure I'll meet people.

Not fearful, just curious. Invictus makes a good point though, people are being much more creative this year than last.
If you're on your lonesome, keep an eye out for a scruffy looking white guy in a blue shirt with Ness' logo on it from Smash Bros.. I'll be with a dreadlocked fellow and a big hulking brute with a big beard who sorta looks like a lumberjack.
Originally posted by Haku15: nice team but why didnt you run trick room on Dusknoir and reflect or hypnosis on the zong. since your dusk cant be faked outed except by a kangaskhan and zong could. im not saying your team is bad im just curious. ^_^
I might also be attending this event, if i can finish my team fast enough. I think smogon should make t-shirts and put them on sale for stuff like this.
...
Also, to that RedCorn guy: Getting there early doesn't guarantee you a spot, it's a random drawing of all entrants.
also, I found this out via BlueCookies that the nationals in St. Louis will be doing the elimination via Swiss style, and not single elimination like the qualifiers. I'm not too keen on swiss, but anything besides single elimination is good news IMO.

So, now I really really want to go to St. Louis, even if just to try for the lottery. Anybody want to donate to the "get PBB to STL" fund? :( :P
Shit, i just realized this is the same day as the SAT's, dam, i was actually going to go to
zerowing- they're so plain -_-
Thanks for the heads up. Even though our games were checked last year and came across as legit, we still had max TMs in our games but we still don't want to take any careless chances if it means the difference of either going to St.Louis or not.Just to be on the safe side, everyone participating this weekend who has more than one of a one-per-game-TM in their bag should store the extras attached to a Pokemon in their boxes. Even though you can get them legitimately, you might be DQ'd anyway (as was Giant Enemy Crab in London). Maybe they're just being stupid in Europe, but who knows.
If you get DQ'd on stupid grounds like that, maybe you can appeal to Marrilland. He's been the guest referee at every American stop so far.
