Driving's pretty much the only way to get there for the senior division. I took a few buses(greyhound into philly then septa to the KoP mall) for JAA, but that didn't start until noonish. VGC starts too early.

That's what Dozer's got, and I will be wearing a hawaiian-looking blue flowerish Overshirt with a White-T under it, with blue jean shorts. I will also have a huge ass Black Manbag that carries various things. You will find out the fun way, but it'll cost you. :D

You can easily take the Speedline or a Subway (Amtrack works) to philly or king of prussia. :)
 
Well, I think I am going to make my best effort to get to St. Louis(meaning try and raise the money in two weeks, because in about that time I go on vacation and come back like 3 days before the 26th <_<). I am scouring the internet for cheap airlines, and hopefully I'll be able to just sleep on the floor/couch of someone's room. It's going to be difficult but I'm going to give it a shot. and if I can't go, I still have all the money I raised anyways, so it works out either way I suppose. And all of this is if I am not invited as someone's guest, which is highly unlikely, so I'm going to get started on the money raising just in case.



I can't let this year's competition get away that easily. >_>

That's pretty much a no on that as the first bus arrives at 9:52. anyone from Nyc thats going tomorrow with a car got room for a extra person? will chip in for gas etc
 
So I'm still figuring out this whole doubles thing and I think I realized I picked the wrong team :/ Oh well. I'll run with it this time anyway. I think I might have a better idea for next time though, maybe even by St. Louis if I can swing it.

Are there any real problems with a Hail sweepers team? I'm thinking...

Snow Warning whips up free hail, boosts Blizzard and raises accuracy to 100% hits both pokes 2X.

For some reason I didn't look for moves that hit both pokes when deciding my current team. It was just an afterthought :P This might work better for doubles.

What do y'all think?
 
Ah SailorClef, she was being very secretive when I saw her standing outside New York. Interesting to see if she'll be in Philadelphia area this year.
 
ha, i was just flipping through the channels when i came across a tennis match or something being held in King of Prussia, PA, thought that was pretty interesting...
 
Hey guys this is off the whim but because my flight was cancelled for nashville next week i managed to find a way to make it to philly tomorrow via mass transit. Wish me luck as i will be leaving at 4:am to get there by 8:30!!!

I'll be the black kid with the mini laptop from ny. I'll have a blue and green laptop bag in my hand.

I pray that I get in!!!!

SailorClef was actually in Dallas this year. I think she was eliminated in the 3rd(?) round.

Myself, I'll be showing up in Nashville.
 
I will be wearing a Blue Enjoi shirt, with a Panda that has a car also.
I will be wearing black and white Nike shoes, and will be carrying a Yellow DS.
That will be me.

But, I got here through Greyhound, took the Bus around 3:30, left from Manhattan.
I wish I would've known sooner, I would've asked you to tag alone and stayed over at my friends house. =/.

Just got your im's lol!!!

Im taking New Jersey transit to Trenton, Transferring to a Septa train to Philly, Getting off and taking a bus from there to convention center. Gotta leave at 4am to get there by 8:30

The rides a pain though.
3 - 4 hours doing nothing. =/.

saying hello for the first time

Hello to everyone in the smogon community! I know this might not be the best place for introductions but I will be attending the vgc in philly and thought that I should at least say hi to the people who have been such a consistent help for me in training and battling. Good luck to everyone tomorrow! I know I'm going to need it :(

Depending on the weather I may be wearing a brown jacket with Bomb the Music Industry! spray painted on the back or just jeans and a button up shirt. Feel free to say hi! Also, I'll be battling under the name "Neil!"

Good luck to everyone, especially if you live in Philly. I was going to go but my team is nowhere near ready yet, and I'm still learning competitive strategy. Maybe next year.

I think it's called Custap Berry in English, and I heard somewhere it was banned for this tournament (berries 1–61 are allowed). I have no idea what berry number it is, but judging by that video it would seem it is not banned.
