I guess we already know the dates? I got an e-mail saying this though when I asked about Canada:
The dates and locations of the 2010 VGC events will be announced next week. Please keep an eye on www.pokemonvgc.com for updates.
Was there anything else in the email, and when did you send it/get the response?
come on TPCi, the cat's out of the bag. We know when the first date it(Seattle, May 8th, 2010), just give us the others. The timeframe for last year was much smaller, as viperGTS has pointed out.
Now, if there was some sort of issue with getting a place reserved, I can understand that(after all, you can't just reserve any old place for these things, it has to have the right facilities, etc). We just need some information, as players and supporters, to let us know that things are working out or not. I really wish that the pokemon.com "secret forum" was read only or something, since then Mike Liesik, Dave Schwimmer, Angela Durand, etc, can post and give us occasional updates on what is happening in terms of tournament preparation.

TPCi, since I know you are reading this or will sometime in the future, I know that you get more money from the TCG. I know that the TCG is much bigger and better organized. I know that when people think 'competitive pokemon' they think of these TCG tournaments before video games. Please, pretty please though, don't continue to screw over the video game players. We support you and your company, now please return the favor and at least have some organized and structured tournament for us to play in with decent prizes. Video games is what people see us play out on the streets of our cities and counties, that is what is sold in every major retail store in the country, it's the face of Pokemon. We are the people who play those games. Please, don't keep hiding the dates from us, we have normal lives we need to adjust to try and show our support for you and your events by showing up, and we can't do that if we don't know when they are.
I work a part time job while going to college. In order for me to continue to show support for your tournaments, I need to know when things are in order to work around them. I can't ask for a day off from work if I don't know when the date is. I am not the only one in this scenario, there are plenty of other people in the same boat as me.
The TCG players know their Battle Roads, Regionals, States, etc, months in advance. We(VGC players) apparently will get ours around three weeks before the first qualifier date. While I have made time to make a tournament team, some people don't have that luxury.

@ mosquito's point #2 = they would(or at least should) have these events reserved months in advance for both TCG and VGC. I know ultimatedra has said they reserve worlds a year or two in advance, just to make sure they have it. it maybe takes a week or two to determine where the events should be and then go and reserve them.
