Most Generation PRNG Help / Information

No, there are other methods. The favorite one is finding a different seed, XD. If 503 is your calibrated delay and you absolutely want to hit that, then there are other ways to advance the frame that high relatively quickly, but if you're using pikatimer like most, then picking a different spread with a higher delay and a lower frame is ideal.

Anyways, professor Elm, Youngster Joey (Not Monday and generally suggested that he doesn't want to battle is ideal), AND the radio are ways to advance your frame. Joey is still pretty slow so you'll have to use the radio. The top right channel advances the frame a good 14-18 times per click, so it's a good way to go for really high frames. You call Elm to verify what frame you're actually on. So imo you'll do the radio advancements about 25times. That puts you at MAX frame 450 I believe (it's probably lower). From there, just use elm and the main window of RNG reporter to find out what frame you're on and go from there.

Good luck :)

I've also read diffrent radio stations advance your frame with other numbers so between which radio stations should I keep switching?

I think he respawned after murdering him and beating the elite 4 but I'm not sure so I would check google or something.

I can't seem getting the right delay. I'm supposed to get 503 but instead I'm hitting 493-497. (I'm using the pikatimer) Is the delay from the white screen in the start till when you click continue or from the white screen till you actually see the world? Cause maybe that's the problem, since I always counted my delay between the white screen & when clicking continue. Any tips?

@infernape-5: You can kill Ho-Oh and he'll appear after you beat the E4. If you catch him and release him, he won't reappear.

@dragonboy52: Set your DS time to 05:23.

Does anybody know if you can rebattle dialga in diamond if you kill him?

you can't and this is the wrong section for that question.

and I got a question about the pikatimer: when the second timer runs out does that mean you got to hit continue or does that mean you need to be in game? and again I ask a question I asked before, is max delay from when starting the game till when you hit continue or from starting the game till you actually loaded the game (like when you're in the game world).

You hit continue when the second timer runs out. I dont get what you mean by max delay on the second question.

Well you know when you hit continue you get a black screen for 1sec and your game will load and show up. My question is: do you count the delay from when you soft reset till when you hit continue or is the delay from when you soft reset till the game is fully loaded.

Delay is from SR to pressing A to continue.

I'm trying to RNG the IV's for my shiny Bagon right now. The only problem is, once I hit my seed and get the egg at (what I think) is the proper time (and I've been getting the egg immediately), I always end up hatching it on either the frame before, or the frame after (I'm supposed to be hatching it on frame 15 which is A, A, 31, 31, 31, A..Instead I keep getting a Bagon with "Likes to thrash about"..Frame 14 and 16 have 31's (and only 31's) for Attack). What am I doing wrong? Am I starting off on the wrong frame or something?
Sorry for all the quotations, by the way. Just trying to be as specific with my question as possible.

No, most likely you're not doing anything wrong at all. There is one moving NPC that can mess with your results. Do it once more but from the phone menu on the pokegear press b to exit out of the pokegear and have the cursor highlighted at the bottom screen of your ds. From there, press b and then a really quickly to pick up your egg.

If this is what you've been doing all along, then your best bet is to just resave in front of the old man again and retry it on a different save frame.

I'll give it a try. Thanks a bunch.

ok, I've chosen this spread

Seed: 591502A0
Delay: 625
Frame: 1
Target time: 21:30:15
Date: 11 / 04 / 2047
IV spread: 31 / A / 31 / A / 31 / A

So I:
1. Turn off my game
2. Set date to 11 / 04 / 2047 and time to 21:29:00
3. Reset at 21:30:00
4. Cancel the Journal and collect the egg as fast as possible w/out the NPC's moving.

Is this correct?

I've been resetting at the correct time and everything and I'm always landing on frame 3. How do I get it back to frame 1?

Frame 1 is not possible. You need to generate a seed for your spread based on the starting frame of your egg, and that starting frame depends on the cowgirls, which is why you must calibrate the egg starting frame every single time you start a breeding project on DPPt. In this case, since you're always landing on frame 3, then you should generate a seed with your target spread that has a minimum frame of 3.

cresselia's stats are determined the first time you meet it at fullmoon island, right? also, it's method 1, right? or is it method j?

I am currently doing my first RNG capture (shiny Regirock; primarily using Riski's guide), and would like some advice about Pikatimer. My calibrated seconds is 15 and target delay is 2002. I've been updating Pikatimer when I land on a seed with seconds of 15 and a close delay, but occasionally manage to land on a seed with seconds of 14. Should I update Pikatimer at this time too? I haven't been doing so, and was wondering if it would improve my results if I did.

If you find you are landing on 14 seconds instead of your target seconds of 15, it's possible pikatimer adjustments have put you over to the earlier second. When this happens, you adjust the minute you enter the game. One minute on the DS clock changes the time you enter the game by one second. So adjust your minutes up or down accordingly.

So should I set my clock to the earlier minute or later minute? Setting it to the later minute seems like it would balance-out ending up on an earlier second, but my brain may just be trying to trick me.

Going back to my previous post:

1. Does anyone know what the average delay for restarting D/P/Pt is? The 4th post only seems to indicate HG/SS's being between 5000 and 5700.

2. Does the game hitting odd/even delays change when you restart the game all over again, or will you still hit odd delays when you were odd before and even when you were even before?

I just restarted my Pearl today and when I went with a delay of 5100 or something I wasn't able to enter the game quick enough. I ended up choosing a seed for something like 6050 and I had 15-20 seconds to spare. I hit it first try so I'm not totally sure about the delay thing, but I think when restarting the game you hit both odd/even delays, making it twice as difficult. Not 100% on that though since I haven't done it on DPPt for quite some time. I know I did my SS a few weeks ago and I was only hitting even, but for some reason I have it in my head that when I did platinum before I hit both when starting a new game, but one or the other after that point. I guess you just have to test it yourself really.

I am at my wits' end trying to breed a flawless Smeargle in DPPt. I've found my initial frame to be 6 most frequently after 7 checks, my target frame to be 16, and since my journal starts on a caught pokemon page I flip 4 times. Yet 3 times I've landed on frame 14, so assuming 4 was my starting frame I switched to 5 flips. Twice I've done that, and twice I've ended up on frame 18.

Any ideas what that's all about?
