5th Gen PRNG Help / Info - Latest: RNG Reporter 9.96.5, PPRNG 1.15.0

I'm going for this C-Gear seed and using EonTimer, my wanted delay is 2305 for 2011. Out of 7 tries, I've hit delay 2306 four times. Is there any way to manipulate the delay, like inserting a gen 3 game on slot 2 or something?

Also, I'm having trouble making the IV framechack code work - can anyone help me with that too?

I don't think there's any way to manipulate it. All I do is take note of how fast I'm mashing A when I hit a delay close to my target. Try going just a smidge slower.

Hello everyone.

I'd like some explanation about 2 things:

- Do we have to put our entire MAC adress in RNG Reporter, or just the last half ? ( the software and the guide somewhat differ on this).

- I tried some non C-Gear abuse yesterday, and didn't get any result: my question is: what is the importance of the DS parameters ( VCount RWTimer, Gxstat, VFrame) in the process of RNGing for C-Gear and non C-gear, respectively? Because that's the only source of problem I can think of, and even though I use a DS Lite with a Jap cart it seems something's wrong here.

Thank you very much.

For RNGing the Zorua in Castellia town is the starting frame 3 or 8(Just like receiving an egg)? When RNGing the Zoruark in Lostlorn Forest does the "mysterious/suspicious" woman running at you advance any of the frames?

The mysterious woman does not advance any frames. I successfully RNGd it with a frame of 3. I was one step from engaging the "woman"

I'm about to attempt to RNG Zekrom in N's Castle (I came prepared to lose the battle :P). I have my Hasty Synchronizer, and I have found a good seed.

Seed: 14ef279b
Frame: 34
Spread: 31/30/31/30/31/30 HP Fire 70

So, is the only way to advance the frame by walking 128 steps or using the PC? Also, I know this doesn't go here, but does anyone know where I can find the AR IV Check code for a US Pokemon White?

And, how would I calibrate? Would I just capture Zekrom with a Master Ball and check its IVs?

Also, a far less complex question: for a C Gear seed, if I use sweet scent right after entering the game, the poke I'l encounter will be the one on frame 3, right ?

You can use C-Gear just not Non C-Gear.

C-Gear is harder and requires delay and IS supported in the current RNG Reporter 9 BETA.

Non C-Gear does not use delay and will be supported in the newest RNG Reporter 9 BETA coming out today (hopefully).

Then why doesn't it even let me even if I choose to use C-Gear?

Things to be sure of:
  • Correct setup for what you are trying to RNG the IVs onto, and at the correct in game starting position (Step 1).
  • Knowing what seed your game has been seeded with (Step 2).
  • Not entered a single battle, or moved at all since you hit that particular seed.

Does that mean I can't go away to check the Hidden Power of my Kyurem I tried to cailbrate with?

Hey guys. Sorry if this is a weird or obvious question, but when C-gear RNGing the elemental monkey pokemon you receive in the beginning - Panpour for me - would a synchronizer affect the nature of the Pokemon I receive from the woman?

Does exiting a room/floor change the IV RNG frame in any way? Like, in N's Castle, if I wanted to go downstairs to the room with the PC, could I do that and the IV RNG frame would stay the same (Of course, it would change when I walked 128 steps/used the PC, but I'm saying if my frame was X and I went downstairs, would my frame still be X?)? I hope that makes sense.

It shouldn't do, I don't think. Just keep count of the steps and you'll be fine.

All the seeds I want to go for seem to either have massive frames or massive delays... So, I have the choice between waiting 9 minutes for the delay or running up and down for 36,224 steps...

(Unless anyone can find a better mixed attacker HP Ice seed for Mac Address 90A9C1...)

Synchronize only works in wild battles (including stationary legends), so no. Also, unless you're using AR, you're going to have a lot of trouble RNGing that early in the game (not to mention you get the C-Gear after most people get the monkey anyway).

Alrighty, just making sure, thanks. (: And I know, I just didn't pick it up from her, she still has it. I don't use AR but I've already reached the city with the Hidden Power checker, so I have the C-Gear already. Rare Candies will be a problem, admittedly... but I'd prefer to make sure I understand all the mechanics before I really start RNGing in this Gen, heh.

What should I set my DS's time to when I want to start my 2-stage timer? I need to hit a time of 8:50:58, so I'm not sure if I should set it to 8:50 or 8:49 or what. I need to hit a delay of 2986 and I'm using Eontimer, if any of that makes a difference :]

Thanks in advance ^^

Under the large timer, it tells you how many minutes before the time on the RNGreporter you should set your DS to.

Hey guys 2 quick questions:

1. Is there an RNG method similar to the egg-hatching one in D/P/Pt?

2. If I use the method on the front page for stationary Pokemon, do I have to manipulate the time on my DS? I don't want to catch a Pokemon in the year 1950 or something random like that.
