5th Gen PRNG Help / Info - Latest: RNG Reporter 9.96.5, PPRNG 1.15.0

When I'm advancing the frame by walking 128 steps, should I do that before or after I turn the C-Gear on, because everytime I try to advance the frame otherwise I can't find the spread in the Seed to Time function.
You have to do it after. And chances are you can't find it because you're on a frame higher than 5 (remember that RNG Reporter only shows the first 10 frames).

I think after because it set the seed once you hit C-Gear. From the looks of it, your delay is pretty high.

Just confirming this. If you did it beforehand, you'd be advancing the old seed. When you turn it on, it's reseeded and is independent of that old advancement.

Edit: I hate this lag. Took 2 friggin minutes to post this thing. Ridiculous.

-.- Honestly... Read the below:

When you are first calibrating to hit your seed, you need to encounter that CobalionZekromPokemon immediately after turning on the C-Gear. You can't do any frame advancements beforehand or else RNG Reporter's Seed to Time won't find the IVs that you get. Once you have your timer calibrated, only then should you start making any frame advancements.

For RNG purposes, stepping in a dust cloud in a cave, and getting an item, does not advance your step counter.

So you need both parents to be flawless AND one of them with the nature you want holding an everstone?

So exactly where does RNG come into play in this? lol wow.

Three IVs are always inherited from the parents. This is controlled on the PID RNG. Unfortunately, the NPCs make it very difficult to accurately influence this RNG. Hence the need for flawless parents.

And the only reason you would breed in this generation is for egg moves.

Isn't breeding for egg moves really the only reason to breed? Other than to reproduce some 1-shot Pokemon like the starters and Eevee.

Meh.

While it's true that 3 IVs are inherited, there are certain seeds that will cause the same PID and inheritance for multiple (almost adjacent) frames. These will all give the same results.

Flawless parents I wouldn't call a necessity. Maybe one. Or a few stats between the two. Really, if you can find one of these recurring PIDs, egg RNG will be easy.

You'd also want to breed for Dream World abilities.

They have japanese versions. English versions haven't been figured out yet.

EDIT: They're still ironing everything out. We'll know when the new RNG Reporter is released.

I'm sorry if I still have to ask this a thousand times.
But it seems that this calibration thing still confuses me.
Even if I use Metalkid's IV calc, I always get that "No IVs match" message from RNG Reporter.
I also don't know what does -95 mean from your timer.

Do I also have to put my Mac address in?
Only the last half? Or all of them?
I'm using RNG Reporter 9 Beta 1 BTW.

The max frame I specified is 10. But is it the reason why I always get that "No IVs Matched" message?

When moving 128 steps to advance the frame, does turning (turning, not stepping, example is turning right) count? Thanks! :)
