I think Archeops is also worth a mention.
Archeops is taken out too easily. And with a hindering ability like that, I doubt it's worth a mention imo.

Its the VGC edition of everyone's favorite thread...And do not ask how to beat hack checks.
Actually, Archeops is very effective when used correctly. It gets STAB on Acrobatics and Rock Slide, making it a near counter to both Amoonguss without Coba and Tornadus, as well as Thundurus in Tailwind. Yeah, Defeatist hurts it, but with STAB on two great moves in VGC, you shouldn't blow it off.
Smeargle and Houndour/Houndoom also work for the first step, I believe. You can find Seedot in White Forest; Black is out of luck as far as I know. The only way to get beat up on whimsicott is to breed from someone in the Shiftry line through a Weavile, right?
Basically what's the best way to go about seeing a Shiftry/Nuzleaf/Seedot so I can maybe search for one on the GTS. Can anyone help me out?
You're indeed correct. However, if not used correctly it can prove ineffective. I would choose a Terrakion over it just because Archeops is somewhat situational.
OHKO on Amoonguss (regardless of whether or not it has Coba Berry),
Black is out of luck as far as I know.
I'm wondering, if I already have a fighting-type with Rock Slide on my team, is Tornadus just generally better than Archeops? This is NOT a Tailwind team I'm theorizing on, by the way.
OHKO on Amoonguss (regardless of whether or not it has Coba Berry). They don't really handle the same things so I wouldn't call them equivalent.

In addition, Rock Slide is Conkeldurr's only move that's boosted by sheer force.
I hate to ask this but is there any way that someone help me out with some pokemon. I have no idea how to use the rng and two of the pokemon on my team need hidden power and one is even legendary so its even harder to get. If anyone know of someone giving out pokemon or is willing to take to time to get it would be great.
my sister's nickname on Black is *God*, would that be counted as an offensive nickname?
NONONONONONONONONONONONOHidden Power is pretty useless in a double battle, I've had like 150 practice VGC battles on PO, I've seen maybe 1 person use any Hidden Power. And RNG'ing might be seen as hacking, so just go with the best ivs you can get.

So yes, it is allowed, and it's really the only way to be competitive unless you have hundreds of hours to spend breeding/SRing the hard way.Random number generator manipulation is not in the spirit of the competition, and is not an ethical practice. However, the results it produces conform to what is possible within the game, without the use of an external device, so it is permitted.
