21 wins, 1 loss, and 21 DCs so far, with a ranking of 1717. Only 2 of the last 10 or so battles have actually finished which is pretty frustrating to say the least.

Anyone know how the match-ups are generated? It seems that people are either getting DCed on in every single battle (like me, Havak and probably loads of others) or are barely getting DCed on at all, which would suggest that maybe the match-ups are done to pair up people who have DCed/been DCed on frequently together. I think thats what they do on GBU, just wondering if anyone here could confirm that. If this is true then its a pretty annoying system, since I've been DCed on nearly every game for the last 2 or so hours so its impossible to make any progress.

So yeah, this is pretty ridiculous. I don't see myself putting much more time or effort into this when it looks like I'm being penalized for having dickhead opponents!

First two matches both 4-0's. Second guy (somebody from Arkansas) forfeited with last mon Garchomp (that was Encored into Protect.)

Make that three straight 4-0's. Current opponent has a bunch of crap in the 40's with one mon @ 50. This is insulting.
 
Just started battling again, doing pretty well so far. Cybertron, I'm so jealous that you get to have your spring break this week haha, mine was last week.
 
Perfect timing, right? The tournament ends on Monday, and I leave to go to Florida that day haha. My schedule is so nice for once <3
 
Alright, played my first five matches, here's how they went.

1. Slayd- He used an in-game team and a Beartic at Lv. 47. Honestly, I felt bad for him, so I basically let him KO my Tornadus. Still was easy. 3-0, except he D/C'd after that... RAGE
2. Dan- An obvious Action Replay user, all of his Pokemon were in Master Balls. Was easily able to sweep his whole team, the only Pokemon that even got to attack was his Spirtomb. With Psychic. 4-0, First Victory
3. GOZER- Finally, a good team. Had some good Pokes such as Darmanitan that made me rage a bit, but it was good... until the match seemingly D/C'd right in the middle. 3-2, Drop Connection AGAIN
4. Michael- French guy who had another in-game team, but unfortunately, his Musharna hit with Hypnosis EVERY TIME, making my Durant sweep come to a screeching halt. Still, I did prove victorious, as he was stupid enough to activate my Milotic's Marvel Scale. 2-0
5. LOLNUB- First loss of the game. Made so many useful switches, but got so man stupid criticals. I was only able to KO his Rotom-W, who avoided a Rock Slide from Durant EVEN AFTER an accuracy booster. Wut. 1-3, first loss

So far: 2 Win/1 Loss/2 Drop Connections

Newest match: Gengar/Milotic/Haxorus/Weavile, player name Marcelo. He's got a 1 HP Haxorus left, but this time I actually lost my two leads. It's an improvement, I guess...and I think he just d/c'd on me.

Goddamnit. I finally get a good match against some Japanese player, no major hax on either side, I barely win thanks to some good prediction...and he DCs right as I KO his last Pokémon.

For some reason I won 2 battles but only one put my rating up. I had 3 battles with 2 DCs but they did it after the data was sent and was updated.

As soon as I get my last mon traded from Shii and EV'd I'll start playing! Fortunately I'm on spring break, too, so I should be able to battle a whole lot (winning, on the other hand, is an entirely different matter lol)
 
ok, just to make sure, Encore is NOT supposed to give the Pokemon hit with it a speed boost, correct? A few turns into my last battle, I Encored 'Top into Close Combat, thinking my Charizard would be able to kill it (and his near-dead Salamence) after the CC drop. However, for some reason, it outsped. It wasn't scarfed, as it used Fake Out on turn 1, went after my 'Zard the turn prior, then killed.

(oops, I meant after, not before.)
