Yes yes I know it is probably a bad team but it looks fun and could be ok if piloted right. Raging bolt + iron treads was the idea here. Raging bolt puts on some offensive pressure that iron treads lacks on top of checking waters like shifu and waterpon for it. In return, treads helps spin off spikes that hurt bolt and helps deal with stuff bolt has trouble with like lele, Garg, and Mtar. It also helps against opposing raging bolt.
This is the thing built around. It is pretty standard stuff with it doing cm + drag z things and nuking every good defensive ground. The spread is the one in the analysis but for those who don’t know it helps u survive a scarf lando eq, ohko mtar, glowking, and ival boosted, and outspeed Glisc. Tbolt is used for a consistent electric move against msciz, idbp zama, and sub bulk up Corv. As for what it does for this team, it provides a good check to Rillaboom, waterpon, and kartana while also doing well in checking urshifu and sub bu Corv which this team can struggle with at points.
I had an itch to scratch that was needing to build treads, so here it is. It is this team’s hazard remover which is greatly appreciated by every member of the team. It’s also the ground which is nice to stop vswitch spam from koko/zap and is just a nice type to have in general. The set is av to better check lele and raging bolt. Vswitch is here to pivot in bolt and rilla, the main breakers, while maintaining momentum if need be. Ice spinner in conjunction with Tera flying allows it to bait grounds like Lando and chomp while hitting Zapdos and Tornt for actual damage. High horsepower is here because gterrain exists on
this team and it’s not too too far from earthquake.
grounds absolutely shred this team so here is Rilla to save the day. Great breaker that can help against chomp and ting Lu stuff as well as punch holes so then something like idbp zama can finish the job. Everything is pretty standard here; adamant is for the maximum power and plus 295 isn’t a super important speed tier. Knock helps wear down stuff like heatran and ferro for late game. U turn is used to gain momentum against grass and steel stuff like ferro and skarm and bring in tran or bolt safely on them. Glide helps revenge kill stuff like cb zama and boulder.
Here is your resident ival check boys. Amazing glue mon that helps switch in on stuff like Mola (yes bolt and rilla can’t switch in because toxic), the aftermentioned ival, and gouging fire. The spread helps take a
Adamant booster +1 gouging fire earthquake out of gterrain from full. Haze is also a nice tool to prevent idbp zama and sub bu Corv from getting too too bad. Besides that it does normal pex things. Oh yeah! It also does well at checking yard as well, which this team can potentially struggle with.
This thing is pretty simple. Checks stuff like msciz and ferro which rilla and bolt hate and is a good rocker. Helps relieve the pressure of being a lele check from itreads because, well, itreads isn’t really the bulkiest of mons. Also nice to have insurance against lele. Tran also helps with glowking and Volc which are shaky matchups. It being rocket also helps wear down stuff for the main wincons. If you were a weirdo you could use flash cannon and air balloon to ease the kyurem matchup, but I wouldn’t recommend it.
This is the team’s speed control. Idbp Zama is very threatening and one of the tier’s best wincons, especially under gterrain because of all the passive recovery it gets. Idbp is used over other sets to take advantage of heatran and other mons like ferro and mtar. It forms a good core with raging bolt as it deals with flying stuff like zap and skarm and pex/dozo while Zama deals with heatran and mtar as well as somewhat checking tusk. Heavy slam is used for having a better ival matchup, but that slot is for personal preference. You can also use crunch and stone edge if you want. It also is this team’s best defense against kyurem.
Threatlist:
Pretty much any balance is crushed by this thing and its cold fist (or freeze dries, in this case). Zama does ok into it, but it isn’t a sure fire answer into it.
Ok this one isn’t as pressing as kyurem as u still have Tera Zama, heatran, pex and treads but it can be difficult at points to play around. This thing can just knock half of the team and do crazy amounts of damage considering it has good mus into a lot of it.
Be extremely careful with ur pex in this matchup as it is the only thing keeping the team together against this thing. Specifically Idbp sets are what I’m referring to, but band is pretty scary as well.
There’s not a great switch in to this except for Tera heatran and Zama. To improve this matchup you can do a different treads Tera like dragon or do superpower on rilla but I’m not a fan of either.
Headlong Rush go brrrrrr. This is manageable with Tera pex, Rilla, and Zama but you still need to be careful around it because it can headlong into basically everything except for Rilla and even then it can just spinner like that.
So yeah there are ways around these matchups but they aren’t guaranteed to go as smoothly depending on the game.
