  • Hi Pinkacross! Sorry for the notification.

I'm always reading all your RMTs. I have loved the ones featuring underrated mons, like PZ rain.
I decided to try out toxtricity as it has lots of power. I also added g-zap to hit steels and blissey

The offensive core 2HKOS/OHKOS the entire tier. The problem is, I have no idea what to add next. Could you help me out?

I added some more mons to the now-complete team. I playtested it and it went really well. I originally had Slowbro over slowking (before I added buzzwole but I realised I wanted a special tank and a weavile check, so I added these two onto the team

This looks pretty good. I do have a concern, though. You dont really have any speed control. This makes many sweepers extremely threatening, especially lategame, like SD garchomp, Kartana, and Weavile. I suppose with Buzzwole you have answers to these, but keep testing and see if any problems arise.

An easy fix would be scarf Galarian Zapdos or Scarf Buzzwole, but only make the change if needed.
Hello! I love your RMTs, especially when they use underrated mons/strats!

About your old hail RMT from last year, I was thinking of maybe using it cause it features multiple mons I love. Is there any potential replacement for the Dragon as 6th slot?
I know the team is pretty outdated, but I think it still got a change to shine, which is way I'm trying to find a way to use it now. Thanks in advance!
    Pinkacross
    Pinkacross
You need Dragapult for speed control + beating Volcarona. Nothing else does that, so there's no easy replacement. My best guess would be Victini, but that doesn't fulfill speed control very well.
Hi Pinkacross, loved your Umbreon RMT - you really inspire me to build with unique mons.

With that being said, I created an Electric Spam Offense team - https://pokepast.es/22c219dc60e04634
While it doesn't have a unique mon like yours (the lowest VR ranked mon here is Rotom-W at A-), it does feature Scarf Rotom-W

Could you please rate this team?
    Pinkacross
    Pinkacross
This looks pretty solid! My one concern is Tapu Lele. Moonblast runs through your team, and Lele can come in on half your team. To help lessen this blow, perhaps try Leftovers Gyro Ball Ferrothorn over Power Whip.
    agslash23
    Thanks for the suggestion Pinkacross

I was also thinking that Body Press over Knock off would help with the Sand matchup (Rotom-W can help vs Exca, but doesn't like to switch into CB TTar). What say?
    Pinkacross
    Pinkacross
    It may be worth testing.
Hey Pinka, imma congratulate u for your damn great RMT (and you definitely have a bonus for RMTing an eeveelution), as it's like quite well-written overall (like all your RMTs) and I enjoyed reading it a lot tho please RMT Sylveon, Primarina or Vaporeon I'M BEGGING
Hi Pinkacross, I have made a heat Gyarados HO - https://pokepast.es/bbfde7a643798281

Frankly, I put Gyarados because it checked HO killers like Shifu, Lucha, Rain, Exca. I wanted to base it around Scarf Gengar and Garchomp though.

How does it look? Let me know your thoughts
    Pinkacross
    Pinkacross
Honestly this doesn't look very good. None of these pokemon help each other or work together to chip common checks, and as for "roll the dice and hope on of 'em 6-0s," your odds are bad. Other than Gyarados, which loses to a huge amount of standard pokemon, all of your setup breakers (Weav, Tran, Chomp) are the most common in the tier and almost always prepped for.
    Pinkacross
    Pinkacross
I don't really believe much in Gyarados HO in general, but to optimize it I'd make a physical spam HO so pokemon like Toxapex, Ferrothorn, and Melmetal are weakened.
    agslash23
Ok, thanks for your feedback. I'll try to build it as a physical spam HO and get back to you

Meanwhile, I wanted to try out some Sand Offense, and this is what I have - https://pokepast.es/3f5a4b5a63de454b

Let me know how this is
Hey Pinka :) big fan of your teams, even tho i love ttar and don't see him on them... (might be a suggestion..?) anyway, i'm using a team i've found on here and i'd like to hear what you think about it, it's a pretty straightfoward team using ttar + the 2 sand rush abusers, using the other slots to pivot around and cover up defensively, thank you in advance!

    Pinkacross
    Pinkacross
I like it, seems super solid! The only weakness I really see is Specs Moonblast from Lele, but even that is reasonably manageable. As for changes, the Ttar set is sorta wierd. Lash Out is creative but I'm not sure if its worth running over Crunch (that's just me though)
    Pinkacross
    Pinkacross
Additionally, I feel like on a slow paced team like this, running Sub Leftovers Dracozolt with Sub + Flamethrower + Bolt Beak + Draco Meteor is ideal. Especially with Future Sight support, you don't really need the additional breaking power. Lastly, consider Knock Off on Tornadus over Focus Blast or Heat Wave. You have no Knock Off, and it's such a good move it's basically a must-have for all teams rn.

thanks for the insight Pinka! really like the zolt suggestion, tho i might say i'm playing this team in a really agressive way, that must be the reason i'm stuck on 1400~, i'll try to adapt my playstyle and see if i get any further, good night bro!
Hey Pinka! I've been playing for a bit but I don't really make my own teams, so this was something I came up with rlly quickly. I've played a bit with it and it seems fine so far, with Araquanid sticky webs being really annoying to deal with, and switching in Zapdos galar for defog predicts. Although, I know it can be better, what should i change?

And psychic doesnt contribute a whole lot, Psyshock is almost always stronger in this meta
    Silvershadow 494
Yep, ive made it to high 1600's with this rn, honestly surprised i got this far. I can see why u recommended future sight lmao, it meshes so well with gzap. Thank you so much btw!

Glad to hear it! GL laddering! :)
Hi Pinkacross! I'm very new to teambuilding and I am currently struggling to identify some flaws in my very first team.

    https://pokepast.es/d0dd162a86280c40

Is it possible if you can suggest improvements to the team? Laddering a bunch has led me to identify that my team gets 6-0d by Weavile, but I'm sure there are other glaring issues that I'm oblivious to. Thanks! :)

Thanks for your help and advice! I'll try out your suggestions and see how it goes. Will it be okay if I can get your advice for other teams I intend to build in the future?
    Pinkacross
    Pinkacross
Yes indeed, feel free to post them here! Though, I do prefer if you test a bit first to iron out the obvious issues, it allows me to rate more precisely and push the team to a higher level.

Aww thanks that's so kind of you to say! :)
Hey big man, i've built a team that im pretty happy with but i get bodied by ice punch, and am not sure how to adapt. I've tried putting phys wall buzz instead of zapdos and lando, but without zapdos i miss static for urshifu, weavile, melmetal, etc and without lando i dont have ground resist. Any ideas how to fix it? If anyone can it'll be you. :) https://pokepast.es/262a2ddb487a82d7
    Pinkacross
    Pinkacross
The team in general confuses me a bit admittedly. A lot of pokemon take sand chip and there isn't really a wincon or a strategy that I can tell. Without changing too much, I'd say make Lele Scarf and remove Gengar for a wall such as Helmet Clefable.
    Pinkacross
    Pinkacross
I'd recommend building the team a bit differently to be more cohesive, though. For example you have no water resist, perhaps trying to fit on a Ferrothorn would be good. Ferro + Ttar + Tornadus is a great sand core.
    https://pokepast.es/347bea2fef1fed09
so im building a team around these 3 mons (mostly chomp and eleki though) and I don't really know where to start for defensive checks. I need a weavile check, a lele check, a pult check, a rilla check, kart check, etc, and I have no idea where to start. Im thinking SpD corv and clef, but I honestly don't know what to do.
    Pinkacross
    Pinkacross
Unless its Teleport, don't put a Clefable on an Offense, it's a huge momentum drain. Tornadus, Toxapex (Eject Button Pex), Lando-T, Slowbro, Mandibuzz are some of my favorite walls to put on Offense. To be honest though Specs Leki in general isn't really a set I'd run when HDB is so good on Hstack.
    blooclipse
    blooclipse
I was thinking specs because with the grounds gone eleki can throw off massively powerful tbolts, but i'll just try both.
I never thought of eject button pex, I'll try that.
Right now I'm thinking double genie and then pex or colburpress slowbro
Hey Pinka! I have been loving your teams although I only recently got into the forum and I have been wondering if you still see potential in alolachu. I know you made an alolachu team in the early days of dlc2 ou and I would probably draw pretty heavy inspiration from it although the metagame changed quite a bit. If you got any ideas or suggestions that would help a lot! :D

Oh that's awesome, thank you so much! I'll try that team out for a bit and see how things go :]
hello! i was wondering if i could get some advice on my double defog Volcanion rain team. I got 1800s with it but I feel it can use some improvements, just not sure what. I am finding that Slowking is rly annoying and I cannot seem to break through the Slowking cores easily. Thanks if you do reply. :)

    https://pokepast.es/59446386e1f11481
    Pinkacross
    Pinkacross
Slowking certainly is an issue. I recommend Thundurus Therian over Landorus.
    Scorcha9

Ok I will try that. Thank you!
Hi Pinkacross, I've built a Keldeo BO, and it's working ok, but I feel that Jirachi isn't a great fit for this team. It provides wish healing and stealth rocks, but it suffers from 4MSS (it wants u-turn). I'm considering replacing it for either heatran or ferrothorn, most likely ferrothorn. Any adivce on this would be helpful. Thanks!

Thanks for your help! Also, I'm not sure about having 3 of my pokemon choiced, so should I do something about that?
    Pinkacross
    Pinkacross
Choice items are very very good. If it works, it works. I've got 3 or 4 choiced mons on many of my teams. It's only an issue if the team is inconsistent and overly prediction reliant because of it.
    myself12
    myself12
Thanks. Some people have told me that too many choice items are bad. I guess it just comes down to personal preference.
Hey Pinkacross, like your Heliosik Rain team. I wanted to know if I could improve my beat-up krookodile team
    Pinkacross
    Pinkacross
This team is cool looking and creative. However, it lacks any real breaking potential. Try an Offensive CB Buzzwole.
Yo Pinkacross, I have currently made this team and got back up to top 500, but I am struggling vs Toxapex. Any suggestions is really appreciated.
    Pinkacross
    Pinkacross
Magnezone gets 2HKOd by Lele anyway, replacing it won't make the Lele issue much worse. As for top level viability standards, using Decidueye is already sort of a rough start
    yogo896
    yogo896
Ok Pinka. After thinking a lot bout it myself and with friends, I decided... the team is good as it tbh. Against Pex I can taunt it with torn and it gets 2KHO'd by poltergeist/ grassy glide after rocks. I feel like vs Pex MU I should not give it free switches.
    yogo896
    yogo896
The rest should be fine. thanks anyways
Greetings Pinka! The teams you make are simply awesome... I enjoy thema lot, also you made rain super interesting...Would you please consider seeing a team that I built and say me whether to use a tran or a melm cuz bliss and CM clef just destroy the team...
    Melm
    Heatran
    Illusion master 2365
    Illusion master 2365
Btw this team took me to 1526+, But then I saw a cm clef destroying it.. So i asked you for an advice, Anyways you are rlly great builder dude, Keep it up!
    Pinkacross
    Pinkacross
Thanks for the compliments. :) I like Melmetal here, but you've got to adjust your set. Running max HP isn't great for AV, check the smogon spread. Also, given your weakness to Ghost, a Specially Defensive Protect Leftovers Heatran with Heavy Slam could also take care of the Clefable isssue.
    Illusion master 2365
    Illusion master 2365
Oo Pinka thank you si much I will sirely try it out :)
Hi Pinkacross, thanks for your contributions, they breathe lots of inspiration in me. Would you mind looking at this team and giving a quick rate? It's an upgraded version of an RMT I posted here following suggestions I was given there.
    https://pokepast.es/9b057711950427d0
    Lord Xen III
I actually like Melmetal alot. it's defensive utility and para-flinch hax got me out of a few bad situations lol. But on the other hand, I've liked kartana's speed tier and coverage in other games. but on the flip side, i've liked the freedom of switching moves with melmetal, and haven't faced a banded weavile yet, but i faced a hdb weavile team wih the kartana version and it was manageable.
    Pinkacross
    Pinkacross
Sounds good, keep up testing and see how it goes! I'd say this is definitely a 2000s level team either way
    Lord Xen III
yeah I'm honestly loving both versions of the team haha! Thanks a lot and I hope to face more playstyles later, namely Rain and Banded Weavile
Hi pinkacross, this is my first attempt at team building. Before this, I would use your RMTs. I feel that my team has a lot of holes in it. I'm trying to make a voltturn team, but it isn't really working out.

https://pokepast.es/12e7104572710b9c Any advice on improving this team would be helpful. Thanks!
    Pinkacross

hello pink, it is i, the guy that doesn't know how to teambuild yet again searching for guidance
    https://pokepast.es/d4746ac65d1dd4df
tryin to make a hazard stack team

new to this aswell, would like to know which mons appreciate hazard stack the most (i was thinkin weavile, bisharp, zapdos, urshifu)
    Pinkacross
    Pinkacross
Slowking + Weavile would be nice there... which would make it my leki hstack RMT team.
    VHasComeTo
    VHasComeTo
i guess it would wouldn't it? but i can't think of any other mons that put hazards n stuff, maybe gardchomp?
    Pinkacross
    Pinkacross
To be honest if you already have those 4 mons, I'd try to restructure. I think the optimal team for those 4 is already found.
    Hi Pinkacross!
i've been using some of your teams for a while and i just started to get into teambuilding myself!
I made one of my first good teams: https://pokepast.es/3d4949cb070c64fc
but i'm extremely weak to darks and ghosts. Any advice about how I could improve this team would be extremely helpful!
    ty in advance <3
    blooclipse
    blooclipse
i mostly struggle with barraskewda and kingdra, wrong mons lol
they outspeed everything and I don't really know how to beat them without changing a member of my team or really good prediction
    Pinkacross
    Pinkacross
Yea basically prediction is the key. You have Volcanion, if that's not sufficient perhaps you can sneak in a Rillaboom somewhere...
    blooclipse
    blooclipse
    thanks!
Yo Pinkacross, love ur team and ideas, I and Mimikyu Stardust build this team but HO and Semi-stalls are blasting through it. I dropped from 1800s to 1550 using it, any suggestions to improve it. https://pokepast.es/c535b101313bec5c
The core is Victini + Koko. Any advice is really appreciated.
