Ability Shield + Imposter is not correctly implemented on PS. Ingame Ability Shield Imposter users copy most Abilities, but not Neutralizing Gas, while on PS they always keep Imposter after Transformation. Ability Shield allows Imposter to Transform into Neutralizing Gas users on PS, which is apparently consistent with what happens ingame.

The NG bug in-game might not be replicated on this version. Fixing that is an open issue.

There's a bug in BH with Zacian-C. When it gets sent out (and transforms from Zacian @ Rusted Sword), the UI doesn't update as it should, instead showing Zacian-C as an illusion. This doesn't change when Zacian-C is KOed, as the icon still appears lit as an illusion. Presumably it happens with Zamazenta-C too.

i dont have the replay for the above screenshot but the hazard order was stealth rock -> srock fail -> court change + spiks -> rocks -> 2 spike sets -> court change -> tusk rapid spin. i dont remember any other details off the top of my head, sorry, but i have a feel its due to court change most likely

At the moment the way Gen3 pressure spikes mechanics are working in showdown:
- Pressure only wastes 1 spike PP
- The opposing players sees it as wasting 2 spikes PPs

I tested ingame and in pokemon Emerald pressure does waste 2 spikes pp, so the way it is implemented in showdown is wrong.

Hi, I forgot to save the replay but I had a weird interaction with dancer:
I had a gardevoir against a psychic type oricorio, I traced dancer but when the oricorio used quiver dance, I didn't copy it.

Was your Gardevoir choice-locked? If a Pokemon is choice-locked, Dancer won't copy anything except the move you're already locked into.

I'm building a Miraidon with Electro Drift for a S/V (Doubles) Custom Game in Showdown, but when I duel a friend this message pops out:

Since I'm playing a custom tournament with friends we all use level 50 mons, so the fact that it takes in mind the event requirement without having in consideration it's a custom game it's kinda weird and funny. I can have a Miraidon with Dark Void or Eruption but not with Electro Drift
Some weeks/months ago I tried it and it worked perfectly so it must be a recent bug.

Battle Bond Greninja should not be able to learn Counter because it's in the Undiscovered egg group which should prevent it from having egg moves; other Greninja can learn Counter as you demonstrated.

I don't think this is enough justification because it was noted that the Cap Pikachu is Undiscovered but can still be taught egg moves in Gen 8.

So, there might be a way to answer this for you in a roundabout way without assistance from hackers: The nearest testable neighbor to this would be the Cap Pikachu. It's still a Pikachu. And since the caps are all in SWSH we can use the Nursery Method!


Which took an annoying amount of time since I had to breed a PIkachu which meant breeding a Pichu then evolving it but thankfully soothe bell + some candy got it evolved. And then remember that move deleter services were at the Pokemon Center. And also unlike the Mirror Herb method it is not instant (found that one the hard way and 1000 pokedollars later...) and according to Serebii or Bulbapedia requires "a short bit of time". ANYWAY, a lot of biking later the answer...was....yes! I was able to pass Charge from the bred Pikachu to my Cap Pikachu.

Following from that, Battle Bond Greninja should be able to do the same

EDIT: I also just tried in Gen 9 and it still works for Pikachu.

Also on the same topic, Volt Tackle + Fly on regular Pikachu should be legal because of HOME move transfers from PLA tutor.

Regardless, it is still the case that Greninja-Bond has no egg moves. That said, I think it’s wrong that Battle Bond can still be chosen as an ability for Greninja in the teambuilder when Greninja-Bond is now properly separated out into its own forme, because it leads to this scenario where the validator reports that “Greninja cannot learn Counter”, which is wrong, instead of saying “Greninja-Bond cannot learn Counter” which is the actual problem.

The smogon unsnatchable page https://dex.pokemonshowdown.com/tags/nonsnatchable does not list Sticky Web as an unsnatchable move, but sticky web did not get snatched on turn 1. Serebii says the opposite.
I may or may not have lost my draft battle because of this.

I don't know if this is a bug since I don't know how protean is currently working on cartridge, but should the same damage of HJK decrease once Prot/Libero switches out without stab? me and the guy on replay were kinda curious because that happened in a random battle, where he tera'd and did same damage as a non tera boosted HJK, anyways, thanks for the help to whoever helps us with this

There's an issue with tatsugiri stretchy in the teambuilder where it currently can't use moves of any variety whereas other forms of tatsugiri can

The teambuilder shows no moves for legal mons in VGCs 2011 to 2016 (might be more formats, haven't tested all)
The teams are validated, it's only an issue with the display

Yes, your base type switches back to Fire on switchout instead of Fighting.

If a Protean user changes type prior to Terastallization, it gains STAB from that changed type after Terastallization. Switching in and and out will reset their "base typing" back to normal.

This is because it selected an attacking move, so when encored into taunt it wasn't affected by prankster. On future turns taunt would have been blocked by psychic terrain if it were used again

This bug basically reshapes the meta so I really hope it can get fixed soon.

There are also bugs with confusion:

1. When a Pokemon is confused, on cart it says which move it attempted to use even if it hits itself. Video proof here (cw flashing lights). On sim, it does not.

2. On sim, if you are confused and asleep you are able to hit yourself while asleep and you fail to burn a sleep turn. Correct behavior is like regular RBY, confusion is paused while asleep and does not self-hit nor burn turns off the confusion timer.
