This is just like regular battling versus someone with friend codes.

Count to 30, and if you don't have an opponent, stop searching, disconnect without turning off/soft resetting, then go back on.

It usually works.

I finally got my ranking above 1700 as it included a win over a Japanese player known as "RIKA" that had a 1735 ranking at the time. There were also some very close calls as I'll highlight them after the tourney is over. One of them was against Atoo from California whom had a 1665 ranking at time of our match.
