League of Legends: Let's Talk About uhhh??

Opinions on picking up a Kage's on Morgana on your first back? (can be built into DFG)

I've tried GP10 on Ahri with Kage's and some other mids. I don't think it's really worth it.

I am a gp10 whore also, I mostly jungle and I use like gp10 on everything but just don't like it on mids on first buy back, I prefer just going double dorans or something.

Kind of off topic but do any of you guys think Nautilus is going to get nerfed? He's my favorite jungler but I feel he brings so much and some of it might get toned down in the future. I'm not complaining it's just such a huge difference when I use him vs other junglers. Also they need to fix Maokai's W so I can start using him instead of Naut.

Its hard to say really. He does do more consistent damage then any other tanky jungler(/peeler w.e) I have seen including Mao Kai but Im not sure that warrants Riot to give such a cool champ the nerf stick. Keep in mind though this is coming from a guy who has never played Naut so I could be wrong and they could be nerfing him next patch or something

Naut is the perfect example of what riot has always said they wanted out of a tank and this is the first time they got it right so yes he feels overpowered compared to most others. A naut who has no shield has no dmg all it takes is intelligent play to stop his only source of extra dps. The problem is only at the pro scene do people understand you hit him once take off his shield and then either A. blow him up because hes squishy still or B. switch targets because hes too tanky and only has cc to threaten you.

I will have to find the exact quote but riot has said for a long time the "tank" role in League is making it so you if you ignore the champion and you will suffer for it.

to be fair there is no specific "tank" role in league. it really boils down to the 3 roles a tank normally plays - support,jungle,top. they have different playstyles and builds. the only real consistancy tanks seem to have is the ability to absorb damage very effectively in teamfights. while you shouldnt be ignoring the tank you definitely should not be aiming the tank down first in fights unless you are doing it from a safe position or there tank is out of position.

jungle and top are not roles they are where you go, and there is a specific tank role in league, its called being the tank.

I love Leona so much, she just does not die while dishing out incredible amounts of CC and is pretty flexible as far as team comps go. Why was I too stupid to not buy her since her last free week ;.;

Thinking they shouldnt fix this baron bug. It would make baron fights lots less hectic and would make people like pookar and HD rage less.

banning you from ashe would also make me rage less

at the very least you learning the importance of ultimates and when to use them would satisfy me

HD raged at me because I took Ghost on Heimer and the enemy team had Jarvan in blind pick, so I'm with jonnyrolo on this one.

MrE, as usual, refusing to post the entire story

like, i said "you could not take ghost/promote heimer please" or something similar, raging at everyone when he wasn't doing that well either

also: he took ghost/promote heimerdinger

if it were I who was arguing a mod (az) would of stepped in by now. oh wells.

Anyways, I just bought Fizz. Currently running a 14 Flat Mr, Scaling Blue, and Move Speed Quints with all defensive masteries. its not going exactly as I had planned but still fun none the less.

What are your guys opinions on not breaking 100 Cs @ 20 mins and instead have 1 to 3 assists?

You aren't breaking 100 cs @ 20 minutes?

Uh, you might want to just work on your CSing. 100 @ 20 isn't good enough.

Assists aren't worth more than the CS you'll miss out on. If you want assists while still being able to farm, play Soraka or Karthus.

Creep chart (By minutes in-game)

great post ravix i was looking for that chart

important to note that last hitting well will net you an IE + more worth of gold at 15 minutes

My problem with normals atm, as since I am still fairly low lv, (13 on euw currently) I'm always laning either with someone who insists on autoattacking, or against someone who insists on autoattacking, so my lane always gets pushed making it incredibly difficult to get a decent CS, is there a way around this without leaving myself open to be focused by bad players?

If the opponent is relentlessly autoattacking and pushing your shit in, well then you just push right back so you can keep the lane more even. There's nothing you can do about your lane partner doing it other than having more AD (or strong AoE) and beating them to the punch, though, if you're competing for CS. The whole 0-CS support thing probably doesn't apply so much to low-level games anyway.

Thanks for the chart, I been looking for something like this for a while. My CS is pretty bad and I try to practice in custom games, I also jungle a lot so I don't really get the practice in unless I'm covering someones lane. I also see a lot of AP mids don't steal wraiths from the other team, probably because I'm low elo but I found it helps a ton.

And yeah what Mr. E said about people auto attacking the lane and pushing it back. If your partner is doing it just tell them to stop auto attacking. Though it might be because of your level your opponent is doing it, I don't see many people doing it because they push the lane and make themselves very vulnerable to a gank.

The problem I can see with that is that level 13 summoners mightn't understand what it means. They're probably trying to get the creeps and can't last hit, while not understanding why pushing the lane can be bad, (plus there probably aren't junglers or much roaming yet), so the reaction I anticipate is:

'wtf leave me alone im trying to get gold'

I suppose asking never hurts, unless they go afk from rage or something. Try going solo mid if possible? Or levelling your account up so you play at a higher standard. x_x;

That's just the learning curve though; hell, there are plenty of level 30 players who still don't comprehend the importance of last-hitting. Personally, I find that if you're ever duo laning with someone who can't last-hit (only really happens in a bot game for me), it's really not too hard to time your AAs to still be able to CS effectively around your partner.

Yeah, I'm pretty decent at stealing the CS from an autoattacker. I prefer to go jungle/mid in blind pick to avoid having to do it. If your lane opponent is autoattacking it should be extremely easy to harass them since they'll be standing still for predictable amounts of time. Just wait for them to start aa a minion and then move in and poke. If they move back when you do this just start timing it so that by moving back they lose the last hit. If you go carry and your support won't stop autoattacking minions you just have to learn the timing to last hit against them. If they're trying to lasthit you should win since you have higher ad/as. If I'm support and my carry won't stop autoattacking I just start lasthitting. They should learn quickly.

so i am enjoying chairman maokai on pbe, my usual build is like

double gp5 -> boots -> froheart -> randuin/shurelya/locket -> abyssal -> bveil

is this fine or am i being a buffoon

I've carried 3 accounts to 30 by just using Ryze mid and Corki. (Leona if I have to)

Ryze dominates low level players because he punishes mistakes (teleport is a beast) and corki can farm fantastically.

You really just want someone who is "safe" and can punish enemies for their mistakes very well. Riven is another great example.

As for last hitting, it just takes practice with a certain character. Get your AS speed down pat so you know when you can auto and then when you can keep moving. When it comes to your opponent pushing your lane, you need to be AAing just as much as they are. Make sure your team has bush control. Also, don't stop moving to auto attack >.>
