League of Legends: Let's Talk About uhhh??

I swear to God level two ganks are the best way to snowball a lane (top or bot depending on the side you're on). Early game ganks in general provide higher kill potential because they are going to lack items to really take hits. They also burn flash 90% of the time if you gank early, which help your team mates lane much better. If you're ballsy though, you can camp the once they burn flash and since most players are hell-bent on missing early cs they'll likely return and that should provide another opportunity for you to gank again.

meta has shifted towards most junglers being supports. reason being is mid takes the small camps a lot, but that's not to say that it's bad for your jungler to cs. typically you'll find that most junglers fit somewhere on the sliding scale of carry to support, which often correlates with farming to ganking, with some exceptions (lee sin's ganks are amazing but he needs gold to do well). you'll find that if a hero can't farm jungle well, or gank well, they won't be played much.

lee and nocturne are probably the two most versatile junglers right now because they scale with gold (moreso than other junglers), can carry the game by themselves and have sick ganks

in organised play your nautilus, sejuani and malphite become a bit more useful

if you're starting out, definitely learn nocturne because he takes like no skill (only thing really knowing when to use w) and his impact on the game is obvious (gank less and your team will be worse off, gank lots and you risk falling behind)

i used to jungle competitively, haven't done so since season 2 rolled around but if you're looking for advice just contact me on irc, i am not that great but i am one of the few users in #tf2 with a brain

If you want to learn how to jungle, Stonewall008 is a pretty god guy to watch as he has video on a good route for someone to jungle, as well as team battles which show actual games and his thought process as a jungler. Jungler is definatley the most difficult postion in the game, as it requires a large amount of knowledge to do well in, like knowing when creeps respawn, when its a good time to gank, do dragon, ect. Its hard to learn but when you get good at it you'll be able to influence the game the most out of anyone, aside from possibley mid lane.

i used to main lee and noc in the jungle all the way before the jungle changes but whether its the metagame or the jungle changes its really hard to carry from there. If you play a counterjungler like mundo shyvana etc you risk the chance that your dumbass teammates wont respond to pings when you are fighting the enemy jungler and possibly turning a kill and whatever you get it its dumb. carry junglers dont scale as well so if you dont absolutely snowball all the lanes

alistar actually is piss easy to play and carry with so play him but hes banned a lot in draft games

Second game ever...I actually got some kills! I went on a five killing streak!

I still don't really know which characters to pick. I picked Gangplank this time and went 6-8. My team lost fairly badly but I still had a lot of fun with the game and I can see myself playing this quite a bit.

When I think of jungling I think of 3 different options that can have a major effect on the game:
Counterjungling: Sometimes your lanes either dont need ganking or cant be ganked. Focusing instead on messing up the enemy jungler essentially makes it a 4 v 5 in your teams favor.
Farm junger: When you cant gank or the enemy jungler is too strong to face off in the jungle sometimes you gotta just stay and farm. Your impact wont come till your farmed up a lot.
Ganker: This type has the most obvious effect on the game. Instead of focusing on getting yourself fed or worrying about the other jungler you gank a lot. Its the most risky but most rewarding to snowball lanes.

worst co-op ai game ever?

worst co-op ai game ever.

nasus and nocturne put in a lot of effort to troll. going into lane and actually moving a couple steps every so often. judging by their build im assuming they were actually bots, in which case, fuck. this is just what LoL needs.

jayce was new with him, and im guessing, new to the game. eve was just whiny the whole game. me on the other hand was content just farming. although since it is a bot game im always apathetic. i dont care about getting every minion and ill happily engage fights when im disadvantaged because really, how fun is face rolling bots?

but still, bot games are surprisingly easy. we may have had 6 of our turrets down, 2 trolls but really, even that was comebackable as i was proving. but lol, 4-1 surrender vote. gg. useless fucks.

^ I feel this post is spot on. Some games I try to counter-jungle and my lanes don't follow when the enemy goes MIA when its obvious where they are going, making counter-jungling useless. I find it hard to carry as noct in solo queue, even if i get ahead, id rather have snowballed a lane than get myself fed. I also prefer noct all day over any other jungler when voice-communication is involved, every time ult is up its a free kill. Plus it seems that nautilus and alistar are banned every game these days.

Also I don't believe in a "farm jungler" lol. its not like its hard to clear camps on a way to a gank.

whooo I just went 14-6 in a game

I like Gangplank

He's probably a shitty champion competitively but he works for me. his ultimate (is that what you guys call the ability you get at lv 6?) is wicked awesome and his Q and W are beast mode.

ima go slaughter some more. i like this game :3

GP is definitely an easymode champion, people usually wreck with him in the lower levels because of the huge crit/burst potential on his Q, and his global ult. I'm not sure of his competitive status, but he's picked fairly often as a solo top, and can also be played as a jungler or support - though if you're new you'd want to stick to standard critplank or tankplank.

gangplank generally isn't seen much competitively anymore at high elo or in tournament games as he generally gets bullied around by quite a lot of popular top laners nowadays. he's extremely strong if fed and he can wreck a low elo game quite easily, like you said

How do you all practice free week champions? I play blind pick because I feel like I'm more likely to get people to let me have the role I want but the level of play in blind pick is SO MUCH lower. I usually only play one or two games a day so I dont want to do draft and have people bitch at me to support when I just want to try Nocturne.
