NFL Weekly Predictions Challenge

Current Record: 17-15

San Francisco vs Kansas City - Fuck Todd Haley, they're still an inept franchise and they'll remember it this week
Buffalo vs New England - Not in this decade.
Atlanta vs New Orleans - I'm not ready to anoint the Falcons just yet.
Pittsburgh vs Tampa Bay - Not against this defense, nope.
Tennessee vs New York Giants - Although the Steelers game last week wasn't as close as the score tells, this is still a good Titans team. The Giants are ready to implode at any moment
Detroit vs Minnesota - Must win for a talented team.
Cleveland vs Baltimore - Not against this defense either.
Cincinnati vs Carolina - Call me stubborn, call me a homer, shit call me retarded for betting for a Rookie QB going against a defense that just shut down Joe Flacco. Here's the thing though, the Bengals are on the road, Carson Palmer still sucks and this isn't a disciplined team. Clausen was supposed to be the most NFL ready QB, let's see what he's got.
Dallas vs Houston - Houston's defense is suspect and there's a possibility Jason Garrett loses the dunce cap and starts running the ball. There's a lot of red flags for both teams. Too bad Dallas doesn't have the leadership to pull this one off.
Washington vs St. Louis - Not this year St. Louis
Philadelphia vs Jacksonville >Implying
San Diego vs Seattle - If I REALLY wanted to be brave, I could pick Seattle here. Legit home field advantage, lack of weapons for the Chargers, always starting slow etc. But San Diego has found a way to get to the QB this year. Seattle's protection is worse than KC and Jacksonville.
Oakland vs Arizona - I admit my mistake in believing in Campbell, although I think he got pulled too soon.
Indianapolis vs Denver - One side has Peyton Manning, the other has Kyle Orton. That's all I need to know.
New York Jets vs Miami - Jets I don't know why you keep baiting me. Still I think Miami is currently even more overrated than the Jets at this point. Number 1 defense my ass.
Green Bay vs Chicago - To quote ESPN insiders - "Cutler's success a Mirage"

I feel like these picks are ridiculous, but when half of the games are tied in records AND the teams with better records might even be way worse (Saints v Falcons, Bengals v Panthers), then everything is going to be weird. I went with the better records but I am not confident in them at all in those two games. Most confident in Redskins, Texans, and Chiefs, however little good that does for picking at half assedly random like we all are.

Sorta surprising how many games this week came down to a field goal, and more surprising is how many failed to make that field goal that would have given them the win (coughSaintsRaiderscough). Seattle has to be lucksack team of the day though, they played crappy but Leon Washington basically saved their asses.

Finally, @ Bills, your opponents are still laughing at you. Especially the Patriots.

You don't need to remind us how we suck.

Our offense line is softer than a stick of butter in 40 degree weather (I'm Canadian). The secondary got shredded badly today by Brady who isn't even in his top form. Our back-up is better than our official starter (I'm not talking about Michael Vick who we should have signed) and he still sucks. We have 3 really good running backs who don't touch the ball enough in order to get into a groove.

Honestly, 3-13 for this season is pretty realistic. And probably the best record that we can get.

I dunno, to be fair to the Bills, Fitzpatrick looked a lot more productive than Edwards (despite the 2 ints), and you have a gem in C.J. Spiller. Besides, you're not the only ones who missed out on the McNabb and/or Vick spree...

This is in comparison to my Niners, who almost seem to aim to displease; they lost to the CHIEFS of all teams, and to add insult to injury, we're ranked below the Rams...the RAMS for crying out loud. That alone is just sad sad sad in what is otherwise a horrible division they should be on top of...if Smith doesn't get benched by the break, the season is pretty much lost. It should be evident even to Singletary that Smith is a bust and far too inconsistent to be his starter, even David Carr couldn't do any worse than the shit Smith is putting out on the table...in addition, he needs to kick some ass on Defense as well and get them back into shape, there is no excuse for allowing 30+ points against an offense as weak as the Chiefs. In all honesty, if they had went after McNabb, the Niners couldn't be any worse that 2-1 (Saints being the only likely loss), as the Seahawks defense isn't exactly a golden standard, and once again the Chiefs should have been a given win.

That aside, imo Singletary himself is a good coach I think; he just happens to be stuck with some shitty players and if he has a flaw, it's trusting players like Smith to be productive. If he wants to keep his job in the eyes of management, he better yank those bad eggs out and start winning. 13 games, and at this point only 10 wins could guarantee a playoff spot with the NFC West won, anything less and there's the slim chance the Seahawks (or God forbid, the Cardinals somehow) wind up winning the NFC West at 9-7.

San Francisco vs Kansas City (they did well against the saints, and the cheifs sure as hell arent the saints)
Buffalo vs New England (its buffalo, of course im picking NE)
Atlanta vs New Orleans (who dat? home game, division game? saints got it)
Pittsburgh vs Tampa Bay (even with the QB sitch, i trust pittsburgh's D to pull through and help em out)
Tennessee vs New York Giants (CJ gonna run all over manning, probably gonna be a close game though)
Detroit vs Minnesota (brett favre might be old, but stafford is young)
Cleveland vs Baltimore (baltimore got this on lock down, browns are gonna get their shit pushed in)
Cincinnati vs Carolina (ocho+to v. carolina, carolina has no chance)
Dallas vs Houston (considering how bad romo is + how good shaub is, yeah)
Washington vs St. Louis (mcnabb should be able to handle this one)
Philadelphia vs Jacksonville (im not really seeing philly working out this week, qb issues 'n' such, jacksonville should do good since its a home game)
San Diego vs Seattle (neverpickseattleneverpickseattleneverpickseattle)
Oakland vs Arizona (battle of the bads, this is the FM v G80 of football, just pick the one you want to win)
Indianapolis vs Denver (despite playing at high altitude, its the colts. want the broncos to win but i dont see them stopping manning, they might upset though *hopefully*)
New York Jets vs Miami (J-E-T-S JETS JETS JETS, they are out for blood, miami is gonna get rocked)
Green Bay vs Chicago (GB been doing good so far, rodgers doing well and if they can get their O-Line clicking than they got a good chance to do really well this season)

9-6 so far. cant believe some of the losses though. sd losing and no losing. i kind of expected philly to win, but it was my "upset" pick. kinda shocked SF lost though considering how well i thought thye handled themselves against the saints. "football". lets get it gb!!

Please do not post your results until ALL games have been completed. I'd like to avoid unnecessary clutter and extra posts I have to sift through. Also anyone who posted their predictions after the deadline, sorry, your entries will not be counted.

I would like to ask anyone who posted "results so far" to please delete those posts so it's a bit easier for me to keep track of. Trying to determine who beat the deadline and who didn't.
