Kyogre was at level 45 in sapphire but above level 50 in emerald.
Seriously? So that means like lots of locations right? They are going back to a JAA style of play apparently

Oh. Hopefully there are lots of stops next year. I want to play in at least 1 vgc...No, what I meant by style of play was the way the tournament was conducted, the type of battles the players would be involved in. Not the amount of stops. :P
Yeah, there will still be work you have to do in order to win. It's just that you'll have more options availabe (and to consider as well) when battling. :P
i seriously hope they use that system for all the competing countries. And hopefully stop entries at 256 rather than 128...edit = lol yeah viper, I'd like to also. >_> Stupid lottery system. I think that Japan is having a preregistration system, and if there is more than _____ amount of players they go to a lottery. Check it out here: http://translate.google.com/transla...t/e090710_09.html&sl=ja&tl=en&history_state0=
I wonder if level 1 smeargle still works however... does rayquaza's air lock also stop trick room and gravity?I can see the metagame being pretty much wrapped up in those 9 new ubers and Kingdra, lol. Though I wouldn't use Kingdra seeing as he gets stopped dead by Rayquaza.
This new team idea I have seems pretty good anyway, and is unlike anything mentioned so far. Not mentioning it in case it becomes standard and people know how to counter it. :P
And yeah I really hope it's preregistration also. I feel for those 4 unlucky buggers at London. Must hurt a lot lol. Plus the hundreds who didn't get in at the US stops. It'd be even better if the UK had more than one stop, though- Manchester would be great, unlike London where I had to spend the weekend down there and stay in a hotel.
Expect to see a lot of battles come down to whoever's 0-speed IV -Speed nature Groudon/Kyogre loses the opening speed tie, and thus gets its own weather in effect over the opponent's, then.It apparently is true, most legendaries will be allowed in WCS2010. They are going back to a JAA style of play apparently(except lv. 50 instead of lv. 100). I had known HG/SS was required for competition about a month ago by perusing some of my Japanese sources, but I had no idea that they would make it like JAA with most ubers allowed.
Well, this really changes things now doesn't it? :P

You could always use something different, like a follow me Togekiss and SD Rayquaza setup. :PI'm sorry, but that just sounds so boring. :/

Gets messed up by multi-hit moves though.
Either way, Kyogre and Groudon will rule VGC 2010 and there's not much we can do other than think outside the box and come up with something different. And the winner will be someone who does that.
Like maybe having one of those pokes that cancel weather as a starter? Hmmm....
Anyone else packing light for Worlds? XD
