Eagles at Falcons
Rams at Bears
Lions at Bengals
Titans at Colts
Broncos at Chiefs
Patriots at Dolphins
Raiders at Steelers
Saints at Redskins
Bucs at Panthers
Texans at Jaguars
Chargers at Browns
Cowboys at Giants
49ers at Seahawks
Vikings at Cardinals
Ravens at Packers

vikings, Saints, and Colts have all played bad teams...best team the Vikings have played are the Packers..

saints and Colts have only really played NE...Saints crushed them. The Colts SHOULD have lost...

but, I can't think of a "best team in the league"
The Saints probably are....no one can go into their dome and win
The Chargers are playing well...the Vikings beat the fuck out of everyone(I know they're bad teams...but the Colts just squeak by these bad teams)...so they have to be up there....idk

Saints crushed the lines, crushed the Giants, beat the Falcons, crushed the Patriots.
Colts beat the Jaguars, Cardinals, Patriots, Ravens, and Texans.
Vikings beat the Ravens and lost to the Steelers.

Vikings opponents are 36-63, Saints opponents are 48-73, Colts opponents are 51-59.

Either way, what does it matter? The other teams' records may also be inflated, but the Vikings' record is the most inflated. They lost to the best team they faced!

Huh? All I said was that I used to feel the same way as DM about people talking about fantasy football, then I played it and enjoyed it. I didn't say or even imply that one has to play it to understand it, I was just saying that in my case PERSONALLY my view changed once I had played it. I was trying to make a case for it for anyone that hasn't played before that they might consider giving it a try. My post was not directed at any one person in particular. Where did you get all this from?

Do not misuse words if you do not want people to get something from them, your words are all I took anything from.

As for y'all complaining about us talking fantasy football, I used to feel the same way. This year I tried fantasy football for the first time and damn it I got hooked immediately. It opens your eyes to so much more info to be learned about the NFL and its workings, and gives you added reasons to watch multiple games besides your own team's. I enjoy everything about fantasy football, including the frustrations of losing close games or having your team completely lay an egg in a bad week. The advertisements are true--it really does enhance your NFL experience.

First you address "y'all complaining". It addresses a specific audience. Then you go on that it. You did say that a person needed to play it to gain some additional understanding, using the generic you implying we were very much in the audience that needed it too. Either way you stated "it is true that it opens your eyes in a way you are likely not getting elsewhere," as well as another garbage assertion of truth that "it really does enhance your nfl experience." Whether you understand it or not, that means you are saying we are lacking that enhancement and lacking that understanding. When you make a definitive statement like "it really is true," then you are stating that the opposite must be true for those not following your truth.

To directly refute your assertions of truth anyway, fantasy football opens you up to one thing usually - paying attention to what you are already led to pay attention to, offenses. Granted 20 person teams that also get defensive players involved are better, but not many people are playing those, so simply nearly no one is gaining any good football understanding from fantasy football. Paying attention to who scores does not open you up to any deep understanding of anything except who scores and who gets yards and whatever. A deeper understanding comes from focusing on things like both sides of line play, something that you are not taught to focus on by everything else like announcers and fantasy football and media hype.

Funny day in football.

Michael Vick shows the Falcons what they missed with a 43 yard pass and a touchdown run of his own.

THE STEELERS LOST TO THE RAIDERS. MADE MY DAY PARTLY LOL.

PATS LOST TO THE DOLPHINS. HAHA

Saints are the flukiest team ever. Seriously, anybody who still thinks they are the best team in the league right now is sadly mistaken. Vikings. kthx

So despite blowing out new england, philly, nyg, etc.?, one bad game, which mind you, they still won and are now 12-0, they are a fluke team?

thats ridiculous and you know it, every team has bad and good days. the saints played in a stadium that was cold and they were clearly uncomfortable playing in, their defense got burned ridiculously bad on a few big plays, and they played against a qb they have never beat.

The vikings lost to the steelers who lost against the raiders and chiefss. I guess the vikings are also flukes.

the colts had to come from behind big and rely on bills bad 4th down call to beat ne. they had to come back and beat miami who held the ball for over 3 quarters of the game. they had to rely on flacco throwing the worst possible throw ever to defeat the ravens. are they also a fluke team because they had bad games?

i dont think anyone is "sadly mistaken", we are all entitled to opinions and one bad game shouldn't detract of a team. its what you do long-term that counts, and they are 12-0 with likely hf advantage throughout playoffs.

They only won because of a missed 23 yard field goal and two turnovers late in the game...

Don't give me this "good teams don't turn the ball over" bullshit because we all know the redskins are a bad team and the fact that the saints had to go into overtime to beat them is enough imo. The saints have also almost lost to the rams ffs.

All those big games that they have won in, have been at home. I doubt that if they went on the road, that they would've won. In fact, the Saints have had all their big games at home. This is not a complete team and I wish people would stop acting like it =/.

EDIT: Who said the saints had a bad game? Drew Brees threw for 419 yards, they held the Redskins to 85 rushing yards, and forced three turnovers. Not a bad game by any means, yet they only won by three yards and that was because of a missed 23 yard field goal.

The vikings lost to the refs, not the steelers. Colts actually come back, not rely on opponent mistakes.

The Rams are also a "bad team," but that hasn't stopped them from playing close games for the past few weeks. They've only been outscored by about 15-20 points in their last 4 losses combined.

Sometimes, the poorer team plays a good game. It's called "football."

fuck
the
entire
steelers
secondary

seriously, every last one of them.

Also fuck you CK, you're just digging for shit to pick at me for. My post was solely intended to share a POSITIVE TESTIMONIAL of my own about fantasy football and how it made my football experience that much more enjoyable. None of my post was negative in any way, so fuck off and find someone else to troll.

so the vikings were who tad thought they were....at least for one game

had to bust this out for the denny green bowl

honestly, with how long the nfl season is and how competitive *most* of the league is, you need some breaks to go your way to go 12-0 if you aren't absolutely destroying teams like the 07 pats often did. the colts and saints (and vikes for that matter) are not "complete" teams. such a thing doesn't exist, except for maybe at the pro bowl or something. :\ and all of these teams have come into close late-game encounters. the saints and colts could both be 9-3 right now, or something like that. another example, the steelers could be 12-0 too, all but one loss was by a field goal (the one that wasn't was by two field goals). sometimes it's just your year, sometimes it isn't. 'tis the nature of pro football. you can't really fault a team for having more breaks than another. besides, is there really a huge difference between 12-0 and 11-1?

Colts actually come back, not rely on opponent mistakes.

are you fucking kidding me? do the patriots ring a bell? you are obviously letting your biases cloud your reasoning.

also, i'm chalking up this steelers season to the madden curse. and i think that's a reasonable assessment. x)

@YTP - Don't forget the Ravens game, where the Colts were almost certain to lose had Joe Flacco not done a bone headed throw. Sometimes teams who are good look great due to solid comebacks and a little bit of luck

bandwagon jumpers are coming for the Saints, I feel it. that was an ugly, but defining win for the Saints. they did get a couple of breaks, but just like in pokemon, luck IS an aspect of the game no matter how much strategists/fantasy owners want to deny it. in addition, the Saints never gave up, which is something the Saints of old were prone to do. the Meachem strip/TD return, for example, was a result of not giving up on the play. the Redskins, despite their record, have been playing very competitively against some high-caliber teams, and Washington is not an easy place to play in.

great day for the Saints, Minnesota and Dallas both losing give us a bit of breathing room. the Cardinals really stuck it to the Vikings, they're awesome when they don't make careless mistakes.

games saints should've lost via being outplay until late game mistakes by opponents: miami, carolina, washington

but obviously they didn't so kudos to them!!!

That shit was no fumble. :pirate: And argh Cowboys ruining an otherwise great football weekend.

that was probably my favorite play of the entire season, because that's the kind of shit you see in backyard football or something.

I stumbled upon this link and found some very interesting numbers, the Vikings have had the easiest schedule in the league thus far where as the Saints and Colts have had easy schedules. In contrast, solid teams like the Ravens, Pats and Dolphins are all in the top 5 for schedule difficulty. Thr number one team? Cleveland!! (not like it matters lol). Anyway enjoy :)

So after you make a longwinded post trying to call me out and telling me to point out how I figured what I figured, I emphatically prove that I have a case and your response is a petulant tantrum? Congratulations, you lost this one.

Woah woah woah, what in the blue hell are you talking about? Thus far the Saints have played eight teams with winning records last season, five of which went to the playoffs, and three of which who won their division.

Still, the Saints should have lost to the Redskins. I was surprised by the Redskins leading until the near-end. Now, if the Packers can win tonight...

I'm not saying it off my head Freeman, but statistics show that their schedule has been the 4th easiest in the competition thus far.

@CK Pretty much everyone knew you were right with what you said about the Vikings before, it's always good to have numbers to backup said statement though which I provided :)

looking at teams' last season records really doesn't mean a thing when it comes to evaluating strength of schedule.
