That's interesting, I'll have to check that article out. It didn't seem like he was thrown to that often, but I could be mistaken. If that is true it's an even further testament to his skill, as he forced some of the best receivers in the game into mediocre performances.
EDIT: After reading the article, I find it very interesting that he was thrown to so often, as good as he is. But then again, if you think about it, he's always matched against the opponent's best receiver. Despite the matchup, QBs still want to throw to their top guy, so I guess they're compelled to throw his way eventually. What I also noticed was that the four other players listed in that article (Rodgers-Cromartie, Taylor, Joseph, and McFadden) were also among the better corners in the league. Perhaps this means that QBs are ultimately driven to throw to their top receiver most often, regardless of how good their cover is. After all, they have become the "top receiver" for a reason. When you look at it, it breaks down to a classic struggle of the offense vs the defense to see who comes out on top. It's too bad we can't focus more on these 1v1 matchups during the course of a game. Maybe the league should make stats like these more available, so deeper comparisons can be made between players.
