The Everything NFL Thread - 2009

I enjoyed seeing the cardinals get crushed, again. I have no idea how they make it into the post season but it sure made last years super bowl lame and uninteresting.
 
I'm really not surprised that the Jets got the upper hand on the Chargers now.

Unless Chargers suddenly beast it out with some crazy-ass ****, Jets' DEF is just gonna keep 'em away. Kinda sucks, since I want the Chargers to win, but since the Jets are my next favorite team, it's not so bad.
 
i will never be rooting for the jets as hard as this again, please beat the colts

i originally predicted vikings/colts super bowl, but now im praying for jets/saints, best offense vs best defense

Kaeding sucks. A kicker who can't make FGs in the clutch is a terrible one.

But how ironic. I can't help but want the Jets to win if only to spite the Colts for resting their starters, which is probably the only reason why the Jets are in the playoffs anyways.

itt a guy goes out of his way to hype up a team as the greatest thing, then reacts stupidly pejoratively when they lose to another really good team.
 
Rofl, Jets over Chargers...gotta admit, even though I picked Chargers to win, secretly hoped the Jets would prove me wrong, they definitely have the whole underdog thing going for them. 3-1 again this week, alas...

So for next week, let's see...

3-1 on predictions as well...if only the Eagles pulled their heads out of their asses and beat the Cowboys, would've been 4-0.

Anyways, for this weekend:

AFC Championship:

Jets vs Colts - Yes, I'm picking the Colts to win since they have the best "practical" chance, and they're not resting starters anymore like in Week 15, they're going all out. But still, I would love it if the Jets found a way to win and thus bite the Colts in the ass for letting them slide into the playoffs.

NFC Championship:

Saints vs Vikings - Who dat? Go go Saints, blast past the Vikings and make Farve consider retirement...again.

Ok, went 2-2 this weekend, and I'm 5-3 overall. Not bad. I'll make my predictions for the championship games later, as I'm too thrilled about getting to a Championship game to make an accurate decision.

Now, to go and rub it into all the Giants fan's collective noses.

Last years Super Bowl was decided with about 30 seconds remaining. How in the world was it lame and uninteresting? Also, the Cardinals outplayed the Steelers at every turn, but due to the efforts of a single man (James Harrison, NOT Santonio Holmes), they won the game due to a 14-point swing on a single play. I don't understand your completely unfounded hatred for the Cardinals, because they have done nothing to wrong you.

My thoughts on this weekend's games:

Big Colts (that's all that needs to be said)
Massive Saints (ditto)
Lolwut Vikings (They will get absolutely demolished next week; I predict a 30 point differential at minimum)
Equally confounding Jets (How did they win that game, they stumbled into the playoffs and now they are in the AFC Championship game ._. At least they will get run over by the Colts next week =/)

Saints/Colts in the Super Bowl, and I can't predict a winner.
 
iduno. i think the jets have a chance to beat the colts. remember that when caldwell took the starters out of the first jets/colts game, the score was only 15-10 or something like that. the jets can compete but they need the run game to do its job. the colts run D is just "decent" so they have a shot.

You know, I dont like fans like you =/.... I realize the Vikings always dissapoint, but they just spanked a Cowboys team that people had making it all the way. Maybe Ap wasnt that good, but I expect that offense to still be strong and that D line to mess with Brees. Im not getting my hopes up, because I dont think the Vikings will win either. However, a 30 point blowout? Really? You must be underating this team way too much then to think they would allow themselves to get smacked by 30. Pass that crack that you're on

its tad the most depressing sports fan of all time. it should be a good game, min outclasses them a little bit in my opinion, but anyone could win, and hopefully its the saints.
 
RIP Gaines Adams...too many fucking young men in their primes being taken away. I'm sick of guys younger than me dying...

lol pretty much... The Vikings are coming off a very good win off the Cowboys, and that D looked really good. Theres no way theyd let themselves get blown out by 30 believe me on that
