Okay, so I decided to post my team from the Tourney. It was a bit ridiculous, and it says something about me that I managed to lose the first two matches with so many OU, but here it is:
Hariyama @ Flame Orb/Toxic Orb/Lum Berry
Adamant, 252 Hp|252 Att
-Fake Out/Bullet Punch
-Close Combat
-Ice Punch
-Payback
This guy is actually a beast. I have started using him in OU occasionally instead of Machamp, just because he is so bulky and hits like a truck with a Guts boost. This guy actually swept teams when I tried the team out first.
Tyranitar @ Lum Berry
Jolly, 252 Att|252 Spd
-Dragon Dance
-Crunch
-Rock Slide
-Earthquake
TTar has been at the top of OU for three generations for a reason. He was my clean-up sweeper at the end, and probably got ~2 kills each match, often more. Nothing more really needs to be said.
Rotom-S @ Choice Scarf
Timid, 252 Sp Att|252 Spd
-Thunderbolt
-Shadow Ball
-Trick
-Hidden Power Ice
Rotom was the spin-blocker for the team, and you will see soon that it needed one, because it really loved passive damage (SS, TS and SR). It was also a great revenge killer.
Hippowdon @ Leftovers
Impish, 252 Hp|152 Def|104 Sp Def
-Earthquake/Rock Slide/Crunch
-Slack Off
-Stealth Rock
-Roar
It tried a Stockpile version of this, but it didn't work, so I went with this, which was the moment I started to actually win. This thing
always gets up Stealth Rock and generally reveals most of the opponent's team, while gradually wearing them down. A great team player, because the team also needed something to take Earthquakes, because it was very ground-weak (the Pokemon I didn't use was a Lanturn)
Tentacruel @ Leftovers
Calm, 252 Hp|120 Sp Att|136 Sp Def
-Toxic Spikes
-Rapid Spin
-Surf
-Hidden Power Electric
Again, just more entry hazards, and TS means a constant stream of damage, which allows Hippowdon to really strut his stuff. He acts as the team's special wall, and uses his time spinning and setting up. He rarely actually attacks anything at all.
Arcanine @ Choice Band
Adamant, 252 Att|252 Spd
-Flare Blitz
-Thunder Fang
-Extremespeed
-Overheat
This gal was supposed to be the late-game sweeper, but TTar took the role halfway through and we got the CB Arcanine. After that, she never looked back, and CB Flare Blitz is a scary prospect, even for Pokemon which resist it.
Well there you have it, that is the team which came second (by one point... damn). And it's kind of late here, so I may have said something which doesn't make much sense. Oh well.
