I'm raising a Roserade and I want it to know Leaf Storm, Sludge Bomb, and Sleep Powder, but is there anything I can use to replace Hidden Power?
Depends. If you're going for a more defensive build Toxic Spikes could be more beneficial (of course this depends on the team). A more offensive Roserade (a LO variant, for example) would likely prefer rest. There aren't really any other options from what I can think of. It is pretty crippling for Roserade to not have a Hidden Power, though. :/

well, if you are runing tyranitar, weather ball could be used. Also, extrasensory may have use. I think both are egg moves though

Not necessarily. You can start with any member, Gible, Gabite, Garchomp. Make sure it is UT (so feed it the EV reducing berries), then train until your heart's content.

So I caught a Larvitar with 31 attack and speed IVs, 29 Def w/ jolly nature. This is the first time I'm messing with IVs so what would be the next step in the breeding process? I have to catch a special ditto? In the long run I'd like a Jolly Larvitar with perfect (or close to perfect) IVs.

Not really, a lead Roserade can do just fine with Sleep Powder/Leaf Storm/Toxic Spikes/Sludge Bomb

If you're just breeding and not RNGing, then go to the simple requests thread in wifi and ask for a free flawless Jolly Ditto. They're pretty common, so I'm sure somebody'd help ya out.

You can't breed a pokemon with all 31 IVs, since the game mechanics only pass on three IVS from parents to offspring during an egg generation.

What you should aim for is only to have 31 IVs in areas where you are EV training your Larvitar, like Attack/Speed/HP.

Now that you have a dual max IV Larvitar, you can either:

1. Use a Ditto with one of the same IVs maxed and have the Larvitar hold a Power Item for the other IV to ensure a high chance of getting an offspring with the same dual IVs.

2. Get a second pokemon (Ditto or other Larvitar) with a max HP IV and have the other Larvitar hold a Power Item to get another dual max IV Larvitar with max HP as one of the IVs. Then pair that offspring with your max Attack and Speed Larvitar to try and get a triple max IV Larvitar.

You can breed a Pokémon with all 31 IVs (or whatever IVs you wish), and it can take as little as one breeding session. A Ditto with 31 IVs in every stat is your most useful tool for breeding perfectly IV'd Pokémon. This is because Ditto can breed with anything breedable, and the perfect IVs in every stat increase your chances of getting perfect IVs. It's probably easier to aim for 31 in the stats that matter and just let the stats you won't use (like special attack for a physical Larvitar) be whatever.

It's true that only 3 IVs are passed down from the parents (any IV from any parent. They can all come from one parent even), the other three are randomly generated, and it's possible for them to be all 31. This is really difficult to do without RNG though, so I recommend you head to the Wi-Fi board and check out the All Generation PRNG Help topic for more information.

So should I just use the larvitar I caught? Has perfect Def and Speed and 29 Attack but the rest are very low.

Yes, because using the Power Items you can guarantee at least either attack or speed gets passed down, and get the rest randomly.

Or RNG ^^

No. To gain EV's you need to gain EXP since level 100's dont get experience the only way to ev train them is with Vitamins.

Ok, that's a set back, but if I were to use 2 EV reducing berries and then 2 Vitamins, then place my poke in the PC, the stats would update?

The reason I ask, is because I'm switching my Trick+Iron Ball Gross to an Anti-Lead set.

I've got two questions.
1. Are EVs affected if a pokemon is transferred from Fire Red to Diamond.
2. What nature would you suggest to be ideal for an offensive Flygon

Yes, but keep in mind, the only way you can award EVs at level 100 is using vitamins, so the max is 100 in any given stat.

Edit: After looking at the Trick + Iron Ball and Lead sets, ideally, you would want to decrease the Attack EVs by 20, increase Speed by 10, and increase Defense by 10

Wait, my Metagross already has 236 HP/252 Atk/20 Speed, so if I gave a Kelpsy berry, would 2 Irons work?
