5th Gen PRNG Help / Info - Latest: RNG Reporter 9.96.5, PPRNG 1.15.0

ehm, it is written in the first post of the first page... (oh my god)

I wanted to ask exactly when thundurus' ivs are generated, because omegadonut said when you encounter him out of the house, but kaphotics said they are set when he flies away...

and, how does it work for reshiram and zekrom? why is it impossible to abuse for their ivs without losing against N\filling the boxes?
I know you wrote it hundreds of times but everything is a bit confused in the posts...

Technically they are both right. It doesn't matter which one it is because nothing would change from the moment you encounter him to the moment he flies away.

I have no idea what you are really asking on this one. It is easier though, if you just try it for yourself to see what happens. Then you will know the answer. Reshiram/Zekrom are very easy to abuse.

thanks, I guessed it could work like you wrote but I needed a confirmation.

another question: how does it work the IV generation for received pokemons, like larvesta's egg?

The IV generation is the same, you just start on frame 8 instead of frame 1. collecting the egg is much like withdrawing a pokemon from the pc. It advances the frame by 7. Other than that, the IV generation is the same as wild Pokemon.

is there any information on how to RNG-Abuse shaking grass patches/swirling dust/fishing spots?

Notes i have a english retail cart and have beaten the game

I am not sure exactly what you are referencing when you are talking about finding your seed but it sounds like you are talking about finding parameters and not your seed. As of right now, non c-gear isn't possible for the English games as we don't have the correct versions in the RNGreporter for the English games.

The time that is listed in the parameter finder is for the day/month and hour/minute/second that you started your game for catching a Pokemon. However, this is ONLY FOR the non C-gear seeds.

When doing C-gear you will find a seed using the RNGreporter and then put that into the "Seed to Time" section of the reporter. From there you pick a Date/Time from the list and then attempt to hit your seed after setting the DS Time to the Date/Time selected from the reporter. Once you catch your Pokemon you verify that you hit your seed by inputting them into the section on the "Seed to Time" where it says search IVs.

Research has been done but I don't believe anyone has included it in any programs yet or anything like that.

Hey guys, I'm using seed 1ED351F6 (MAC address C84656) to get a frame 3 flawless physical spread on Cobalion. I haven't really calibrated or anything, so I'm hoping someone can help with that.
My computer doesn't have headphones or speakers, but when I use PikaTimer, the "dings" are still audible in the form of an angry computer beep. I checked to see if this happened with ZOMGTimer, but it doesn't, so I'm using PikaTimer.
I need to hit a delay of 2965, on 7/31/11, at 11:39:30.
I just hit a delay of 2659, but on 7/30/11, at 21:50:30; that's the closest result to my target seed, at least.

Does anyone have tips, or should I just wait for non-C-gear?

Well, 1. post here. :3
When comes the non C-Gear RNG? From the German Pokemon Community (BisaBoard) I've heard, that will came today..
I can't wait. :)

Hey im just wondering how many succesful rngs there have been on the actual game not using an emulator. I have no problem with an emulator I just do not have access to one to rng and have not seen non emulator rngd pokes.

Also will controlling the nature and Ivs become easier as more research is done?

Many people have RNGd on a DS, so it's not just limited to emulators, if that's what you're asking.

And for your second question, most likely yes.

Yes C-Gear is possible right now. A lot of people have done Zekrom/Reshiram. Non C-Gear (much easier) is supposed to come out today with the third RNG reporter beta.

How is this even possible? I thought even/odd was determined by your hardware?

Not in gen5. It likes to flip from odd to even and vice versa. Annoying, no?

You can use C-Gear just not Non C-Gear.

C-Gear is harder and requires delay and IS supported in the current RNG Reporter 9 BETA.

Non C-Gear does not use delay and will be supported in the newest RNG Reporter 9 BETA coming out today (hopefully).

In Gen 5, you'll be hitting both odd and even seeds. In this case, it's even harder to hit your seed and you'll need precise timing to hit your delays. Much harder than Gen 4 and, in my opinion, more time consuming.

I've decided to RNG everything else after I beat the game (saving my Rare Candies for Victini), and so Zekrom will be my test subject as far as I know. Is there any reason other than N's battle why I shouldn't just RNG it before fighting him? It will take far too long to fill my boxes.
