5th Gen PRNG Help / Info - Latest: RNG Reporter 9.96.5, PPRNG 1.15.0

I'm using a seed to catch a Stationary Legendary that shows up in the Main Window as Shiny, Adamant, and with the right IVs that I am going for, but when I search for it in the Time Finder, nothing shows up.

When I try to catch the Pokemon in the game, I can't get it for some reason. I know I'm hitting my seed, because the Pokemon I catch fluctuates between the same two Natures and IV Spreads.

Seed: 9535270EBD58B948
Frame 1
IVs: 31/31/31/21/31/31
Date and Time: 2/15/2012 8:59:33
Keypress: A-Up

MAC Address: 0023CCD5B8DB
VCount: 60
VFrame: 6
GxStat: 6
Timer0: C7E

If you need any more information, just ask.

I plugged all that info into the Simple Seed Generator. I assume you're using an English version on a DS Lite. Neither Black nor White seeds matched at all. That seed simply doesn't exist for the parameters you listed.

Not that I know of. IIRC, your parameters are hardware related.

Just verified this. Awesome; now I can get a new Victini every... 50 minutes. :/ Stupid C-Gear. You get to Accumula Town in like 11. Trade over Chatots, trade back Chatots and a new flawless Jolly Victini.

Also, I'm still running 9.81 here, but is there some way to search multiple months? (Or has that been built into 9.92 already?) I know it'll take longer, but having to increment the month while searching for seeds is a pain. A fullyear option would be sweet.

That said, the program is amazing; thanks a lot for it. :)

Can somebody link me to the list that shows what is ability 0 and 1 in BW?

EDIT: Also, PIDRNG is not getting me the right results... I think my starting frame which is given isn't the actual one...

I asked about this a while ago; if I remember right, they were worried about people with bad computers blowing up their CPUs.

I'm RNGing Thundurus. I was able to hit my seed the first couple times, but didn't get lucky enough to get the right nature. I kept at it, but I never hit my seed again. I thought something was weird, so I changed my seed, but the same thing happened. I was able to hit my seed the first couple times, but haven't been able to hit my seed since. This is starting to get really frustrating. Also, another odd thing that happened, was that I kept getting the same nature (when my Timer0 fluctuated) almost every time I caught the Thundurus. I was trying to do different amounts of Chatot flips, but that didn't really affect it at all it seemed.

From my experience, choose the months it doesn't rain when you go outside from the house. I don't know how to explain it, maybe someone can explain it better. Point is that it will give you most of the time consistent results. (So you can use Chatot calls)

Sweet, DSi is supported.

Hey everyone,

I'm new to RNG, but I tried to do RNG on my DSi as the readme.txt said that RNG was possible on DSi now. However multiple friends of mine say that it is incomplete. I saved the information for my DSi regarding the parameters search and finding my seed and stuff. However, I know i hit everything right, even with a friend helping me who RNG's. No luck on the DSi.

My problem is this. When I repeat the same process for my DS with a different MAC Address. Nothing happens when I search in the DS Parameter Finder part. It says search 0, found 0. Is it because my DSi settings are saved onto the program?

Any help will be appreciated.

I included some pics. The first 2 are my DSi one and the 3rd is my DS.

Unfortunately, I can't think of any rational explanation for why you'd have trouble finding your parameters for White on a DS Lite, when other people have been successful for so long. I've tried comparing results between older versions where the parameter-finding is known to work for sure, and there's no difference.

Only advice I can give you is to keep trying.

Hmmm....curses...then I guess I am at a loss. I will keep trying...but so far 7 hours of it to no avail...maybe I wasn't cut out for RNG.

Thanks for the reply though.

Trouble hitting my seed

Hey everyone,

I'm new to RNGing this generation. I have RNGed shinies in Platinum, not flawless though. This was actually quite simple. But now I'm trying to RNG a near-flawless shiny Kyurem.
I first tried the standerd abuse on my DSi as it was possible with an English White. I calibrated and timer0 stayed constant. I've found some seeds I liked and synched the time on my DSi to my PCs time. I kept missing my seed. I figured it would be because of the synch to my PC that wasn't completely accurate.
I friend of mine let me borrow his DS original, which has that awesome analog clock the DSi misses. I recalibrated everything and after 6 tries, my timer0 was constant.
I've found a seed I liked and set the time on the DS to that, I'm sure I started the game at the correct time, but I keep missing my seed. I also have keypresses on, is it correct that I hold them before the game even starts until 'nintendo/the pokemon company' screen pops up? I usually hold them untill the gamefreak animation starts though, just to make sure.
I know that after that I need to advance the frame to the shiny frame, but since I haven't hit my seed once, I haven't done that yet.
I've asked around on a lot of different forums, but nobody seems to know what I should do/try. I hope that there are some more knowledgeble people here who can help with my problem.

Any help will be much appreciated as I'd love to RNG a shiny Kyurem myself.

I included some pictures, the first is my Capture tab (blue highlights the seed I want) and the second is the Parameters Setup. Maybe I set something wrong here that's causing the problems.

The only two possible explinations I can think of are:
You keep missing your time or you are messing up. Make sure that you are hitting the seed at the right time. Usually you have to hit it one second before the actual second that it occurs.
Also you may have entered the wrong SID/ID and you cant get results or have entered the wrong mac address.
I would recomend watching the bearsfanvideos linked on the first page to make sure you did everything right.
Good luck!

I've been RNGing successfully in 5th gen but it seems I can't even find a useful guide to RNG in HG/SS, youtube videos show ppl doing it but there is no explaination on how it is done and what you have to do beforehand. If someone knows some links to helpful youtubes or a guide I can read please post them. I'm a 1st timer in 4th gen so I need baby steps

How'd you get a VCount of 90? Every VCount for DS Lites is 60.
I've got no idea what it actually is, but I'm not using a DS Lite, an original. Would that make a difference, becaus I let it generate it itself.

@Mr.Pooh31, I used bearsfans videos, so I think I do understand the process though.

I've tried some more, and I keep getting the same Modest Kyurem, at least I keep hitting the same seed, but not the one I want though.

Original DS is the same. You got a false positive.
Ah, thanks, I've got no idea as to what it was and the tutorial said I could ignore it as the reporter would fill it in itself. So I should change it to 60 instead? If so, that could explain why I keep gettin the same seed, but not the one I decided to go for. If this works, it'd be awesome.

I also just heard that my friend let this DS fall into the pool once, I checked the buttons, but they seem to be working, so I don't think I messed up my keypresses.

I'm not sure how you managed to get VCount = 90 on an original DS in the first place. Maybe you copied it wrong? It's best to copy it by clicking "Use Parameters in Time Finder" after you've found your parameters.

I'd find your parameters again, just to be on the safe side.

I used the "Use Parameters in Time Finder", but my sister was on the PC as well, maybe she accidentally changed it...
I guess finding the parameters again would be a better idea.
Thanks for the help, I really appreciate it.
I'll keep you updated on my progress.
