Welcome to Smogon! Take a moment to read the Introduction to Smogon for a run-down on everything Smogon, and make sure you take some time to read the global rules.
Welcome to Super Smash Mods Brawl! In this Pet Mod, users submit existing Pokémon from other Mods in the forum. The goal is to create a wacky metagame that showcases the creativity and variety within our creations, celebrating another great generation of Mods and letting us look back at all we've achieved as a community during Gen 9.
This mod will mostly stick to Gen 9 OU rules and regulations. Naturally, with this being a mix of many different mods, there are going to be quite a few rules to make sure everything can function in the same metagame. As such, here's some things to keep in mind:
- A Pokémon's ability and moves will function the same way they do in their respective Mods. Submisisons must highlight these changes, as well as any custom moves or ablities.
- If a Pokémon can Mega Evolve or Terastalize in its origin Mod, it will be granted access to the mechanic here. Pokémon from TeraMax will also be able to access Dynamax and Gigantamax the same way they can in their Mod. Similar to moves, these mechanics will depend on their origin Mod - Terastal will work differently for TeraMax mons and TeraForming mons, for an example.
- Pokémon from any Mod can use new items. The exception to this are items that activate Mega Evolution, Terastal or Dynamax - those are limited to Pokémon from the same Mod as the item.
With that out of the way, here's the Submission Rules and Tempolate:
- Each user can submit up to 5 Pokémon and 3 items
- For a Pokémon to be submitted, it must have something in the Mod that changes it from its vanilla counterpart.
- Pokémon will be as faithful as they can to their origin Mod at the time they are being submitted. If their origin Mod makes changes to the Pokémon after its been implemented in Smash, it is up to Smash's council to decide whether or not it is necessary to also apply the changes to Smash.
- The same species of Pokémon can be submitted so long as it has different origin mods.
Pokémon: The Pokémon you are submitting Origin: The Mod it comes from
Description: Give a short description on how the Pokémon plays and why you think this would be a good addition to the metagame.
Table of Custom Efffects: This is where all custom effects are listed, if any
Item: The Item you are submitting Origin: The mod it comes from Effect: Description: Give a short description on how you think this item will affect the metagame
Description: Phystank with an uncommon typing and a cool sig. Very versatile mon, should be able to play a role no matter how the meta ends up. Zen Mode is funni gimmick but we love those here.
Ivory Slash: 80 BP Physical Psychic, 10 PP, Contact, Slicing. Raises the user's crit rate by 1.
Description: Bulky setup guy with tons of utility and a wacky offensive abil (Poison Terrain effects listed below). Pretty easy to answer since it gets bricked by Steels and Poisons, but should be able to make mad progress into teams once their answers are weakened.
Poison Surge: Summon Poison Terrain for five turns, or eight turns if holding Terrain Extender, upon switching in.
Poison Terrain increases the power of Poison-type moves of grounded Pokemon by 30%. All grounded Pokemon that aren't Bug-, Poison- or Steel- type take damage equal to 1/16 of its maximum HP at the end of the turn. Any move that would poison the target instead badly poisons the target. Terrain Pulse becomes Poison-Type. Nature Power becomes Sludge Wave, Secret Power may lower the target's Special Defense by one stage, Camouflage and Mimicry cause the Pokemon to be Poison-Type.
Really Fat: This Pokemon is immune to Electric/Ice/Fire moves but takes 1/8 of its max HP in damage when hit by one.
Slide Out: Ice type Volt Switch.
Item: Slingshot Origin: Vaporemons Effect: If this Pokemon is hit by a self-pivoting move, the attacker takes damage equal to 1/8 of their max HP and is forced out into a random ally. Description: Pivotspam punish.
Item: Hand Mirror Origin: Vaporemons Effect: The holder takes 2/3 damage from Pokemon it shares a type with. Description: Really cool defensive item that allows mons to flip matchups on their heads. For example, this can be used on Hydrapple in its mod of origin to make it beat all forms of Ogerpon.
One of, if not the the coolest buildaround mon in all of Pet Mods. Enabling so many crazy team synergies and requiring extreme hazard control, Mega Delibird would influence every single item and Pokemon we add down the line. This thing's only really possible to add this early on because the wrong Paradox mon getting in before it could just make it impossible to work with, so don't let me down here.
A really fun and distinct take on Samurott-H, with Water/Poison being synergetic offensively, and enabling switchins the otter could never dream of. Losing Dark means Ceaseless Edge isn't a centralizing autoclick, though it's still vital to this mon's kit. Between Spikes, pivoting, and Poison chances from Rebel's Blade, Samuraiai will make progress if you can keep bringing it in safely. Also a strong scarfer!
Pokemon: Buffball Origin: Community Create A Pet Mod 2024 Type:
Base Stats: 101 / 127 / 71 / 103 / 71 / 97 [BST: 570] Ability: Preparation (Status moves make the user's next attack do 2x damage, except Protect-alikes/Substitute. Does not stack.) Relevant Moves:
- Close Combat, Earthquake, Gunk Shot, Ice Spinner, Knock Off, Leech Life, Rapid Spin, Stone Edge, U-Turn
- Bulk Up, Defog, Roost, Spikes, Thunder Wave, Toxic Movepool can be found here.
A versatile pivot with a ridiculous movepool. Buffball's really good at compressing whatever random utility moves and coverage your team needs into one slot, all paired with invaluable resistances to Dark and Ground. It's one of those mons that you want in a meta early on just to free up room in builder for whatever weirdos we add down the line. The ability's also absurd if you can get your plays right.
Item: Newton's Apple Origin: Clubmons: Requiem Effect: Extends Gravity by 3 turns when the user sets it.
Obviously we have no setters yet but every single tier with viable Gravity builds ever is a banger, so enabling the potential to set them up in future slates off rip sounds really fun.
Item: Palafin Plushie Origin: Dollhouse Effect: If this Pokemon has 480BST or lower, on first switchin, it gets -1 Def/SpD. On future switchins, its lowest BP attack (max 60) has +1 priority.
Convoluted as all hell but I think this could be a really cool enabler in Smash to let mons from lower power level mods find a completely new niche here.
Item: Lax Incense Origin: i made a national dex ou meta where i played god (not clickbait) (real) (they made WHAT broken???) Effect: This Pokemon's moves deal 1.25x damage if it moves last.
Cooler version of Sylve Macho Brace, kinda too generalist for a Slate 1 pick but I want to put this on people's radars for later slates at least.
Air Dive: Flying Physical Frost Breath with 100% accuracy Description: tier required fastmon, also a viable ice by virtue of the ability to run items. Provides a speed cap and a way to check potential offensive threats that will likely appear.
Pokémon: Comenova Origin: Secret Santa Type:

Item: Baseball Origin: Glacemons Effect: Bomb/Ball moves become physical and have 1.4x Power Description: yes
Weight: 96.9 kg Description: A world without Ohmyrod in this mod would not be worth living in. Bulky physical attacker with powerful tools such as Surging Strikes and Flower Trick for strong STAB options, hazard setting, and slow pivoting + snow setup with Chilly Reception. It used to have Innards Out but that proved to be really powerful in Iron Fist so I replaced it with the less impactful Aftermath.

Weight: 120kg Description: It's just Donphan with regen, but this one change skyrockets its viability, since one of its biggest disadvantages in official formats was a lack of recovery. Doesn't feel broken on this though bc don doesn't have any pivoting options, so it has to commit a turn solely for healing. Really good utility glue ground in multiverse and I would expect it to do the same here.
Weight: 80kg Description: Banger mon from gen x that I think about often. Solid physical wall thanks to PHeal, pure bug typing giving it Ground and Fighting resists, and STAB skitter smack. Movepool is quite shallow bc gen x subs only needed to list notable moves, but permiplaneta has all the tools it needs, such as STAB u-turn, toxic, and recover. Main weak point is a sr weakness when its item slot is already occupied by toxic orb to proc pheal.
Power: — Accuracy: —% PP: 10 [16 Max] Effects: Heals 1/3 of user’s Max HP and cures them of non-volatile statuses.
Description: A solid defensive mon to open the mod with. In CCvC, they are typically run as a PhysWall who excels in snagging offensive pivots, thanks to the combo of Shadow Pounce, Shadow Sneak, and a Rocky Helmet.
A basic special wall that can also serve as a cleric with Heal Bell and Wish, or inflict Toxic upon the foes. Thick Fat eliminates the Ice weakness while resisting Fire, while Cud Chew and Gluttony are more situational and niche but can allow for fun berry shenanigans.
Description: This is a mon with deceptively low special attack for a wall breaker but the combination of Choice Specs and Windy Spirit makes it hit very hard, it can also be used a specially defensive mon in its home format

It can also be used offensively with Choice Specs and Choice Scarf to hit pretty hard.

At the top of a tall cliff, the Uber Trainer stays in wait. "Now is the time to finally show the world...my endless imagination, reborn anew as the best of over a thousand submissions, all submitted by me." And thus...the best of the UberTrainer Submissions arrive! (As much as I would love to, unfortunately I couldn't fit any content from Pokémon Let's Go Tamagotchi or Pokémon North, South, East, and West here, but maybe you can submit them yourselves! Also, my submissions stay as true to their original submission's formats as close as possible!) Nedontrol cooks up a storm!

Bon Appetit: At the start of each turn, this Pokémon recovers 10% of it's HP. Competitive Role: Control Flavor / Description: A beast of the Iron Fist Arena turned to the Diamond Hand's side as the orginization's prime cook and Voted "Most likely to give Guiltrism a panic attack every morning", Nedontrol dominated the Iron Fist meta with it's amazing bulk, defensive typing, and the fact that it's signature move excelled at frying Lemons and Fishes. But in Super Smash Mods Brawl, where Lemon-types are non-existent and Fishes are a possible rarity, how will it fare here? Note: This Pokémon is male only. Bon Appetit is now a passive heal to compensate for the absence of Fishing Tokens.
Celestia Ludenburg places her bets!
Pokémon: Celestia Ludenberg Franchise/Origin: Danganronpa Intended Tier: OU Type:
Origin: Crossover Chaos (Original Version) Ability: Ultimate Gambler: This Pokémon is always treated as if she is holding the Loaded Dice. In addition, increases the power of her multistrike moves by 50%. Notable moves: Population Bomb, Play Rough, Foul Play, Night Slash, Swords Dance, Nasty Plot, Pin Missile, Triple Kick, Rock Blast, Icicle Spear, Wood Hammer, Will-O-Wisp, Triple Axel, Arm Thrust, Bone Rush, Scary Face, Taunt, Torment, Dark Pulse, Dazzling Gleam, Amnesia, Trick Signature move: None Signature Z-Move: The Burning of the Versailles Witch: On the first turn, charges up and burns the target. ("The opposing target has been found guilty! The opposing target was burned!") On the second turn, hits the target with a 250 BP Physical Fire move that is a critical hit if the target is burned. Upgrades from Wood Hammer using the Z-Crystal "Justice Hammer 4". Stats: 95/50/103/50/93/110 Flavor / Description: In the original Crossover Chaos, before Version C and all that metagame control, there were submissions who won for their uniqueness and skill, one of which was my first ever Crossover Chaos winner, Celestia Ludenburg from Danganronpa. Not knowing much about her full flavor at the time of submitting her, I envisioned Celestia as a multihit attacker designed to make use of moves such as Population Bomb, as well as a unique Z-Move that changed it's type from the original move. Will Celestia find any luck in this metagame, or will this be a bet she'll finally lose?

This hits Ground-type Pokémon for Super Effective damage, but fails on airborne targets. Competitive Role: Special Glass Cannon that plays against Weakness Flavor / Description: A former member of the Diamond Hand who was revived by Impromancer after supposedly not turning up to the approval period, there was a good reason why he got rejected from Iron Fist: An Electric-type with Levitate and insane Special Attack and Speed was just not cricket, and not even gaining a Ghost-type would make him any more broken, quickly becoming the metagame's top threat, even after his signature move got nerfed. But here, everything is done in single battles. Can the one who plans to betray Daiyakuza for leadership of the Diamond Hand succeed in taking over the competition here? Note: This Pokémon is male only. Originally from Iron Fist's third slate.

After failing to make it past the town and mountanious slates, Violagarie finally got her chance and got the most votes in the Forest Slate...and curiously enough, she was the only UberTrainer submission that slate to actually get a vote at all. I never set a competitive role for her in her submission, none of my submissions did, but who knows...maybe she might find one here, even without her signature Balm Move?
Name: Mulcher Effect: This Pokémon's ballistic and pulse moves additionally inflict Leech Seed upon the target. Permanent: No Ignorable: Yes Distribution: Grass-type Pokémon wielding cannons.

Custom Elements:
None Justification:
Twas the ninth slate of Crossover Chaos Ver. C, and I was in a dire pickle. No-one was voting for my submissions because I found out the hard way that they were choosing who would best fit the metagame, and not the most unique ones as I expected. Thus, I temporarily dropped my quest to get a Danganronpa character into the metagame to try and submit what the people needed. Overhearring on the Discord Server that Anchor9 wanted a Ghost-type with Flash Fire, I granted his wish, creating a Grass/Ghost with Spore and great defences, and she did well in the votes, being the first Neopet ever to be in Crossover Chaos. She was originally built to counter V1, who was a top threat at the time, but how will she brew up a storm here? Role: A balanced special attacker who can run both offensive and status-based sets: She also has access to Spore, Strength Sap, Synthesis, and Toxic, on top of being a Grass-type with Flash Fire! Filter makes her very resistant to Knock Off, especially with max Defense IVs.

Magic Guard Clone
Effect: High critical rate ratio. Priority: 0 Flags: Contact
Description: Base forme pivots and punishes contact. Mega offers strong hazard denial while being 4x weak to SR, makes for some interesting in-game situations.
Description: Weeping Vine was made to abuse Spicy Extract x Foul Play, but that is kind of bad, so you run the standard dual STAB + Strength Sap combo. 100/100/110 bulk is pretty solid for a defensive pivot, and Strength Sap allows it to farm wins versus physical attackers it may try to face. Corrupting Storm acts like Salt Cure without type interactions upon the user dying, so you can rack up chip and more importantly force out anything that kills you, which might be pretty useful in a skillful user's hands. An overall fun utility pivot to run on fatter teams that need a Ghost or Psychic check in particular.

Description: Sidegrade Rotom-Wash, who trades better Ability and WoW for access to hazard removal and decently better bulk. Power Wash doing a big heal if it clears hazards is pretty nice but jury is out on how reliable this would be. Description: Onion Wings provides a bunch of utility (Mortal Spin, Encore, Leech Seed, Sleep/Para/Poison, Toxic Spikes, Recovery) while having good speed, solid defenses and offense. It comes with the downsides of being boots locked, not having an ability for non-Sun or Booster sets, and not being the greatest in bulk or strength.

Description: It is adding vanilla Blissey to the meta, but before you feak out, it has a more offensive alternative form. Adaptability is one hell of a drug. While you can run dumb Blissey things, or you can be cool and run a more offensive set.
Item: Deez NUts Origin: Iron Fist Effect: This Pokemon's stats are doubled if their BST is 280 or less, or if they are Inkay or Richard Petty (in which case the speed is excluded). Fling: 200, fully heals the target after damage Description: Does absolutely nothing for 99% of mons, but allows certain Iron Fist mons, DNU: The Pet Mod: The Musical, Little Colosseum, and Prevos for Everyone to be real submissions.

It used to have Innards Out but that proved to be really powerful in Iron Fist so I replaced it with the less impactful Aftermath.
Description: RIP Set In Stone. Had to submit at least one of these guys. Despite only having a few viable moves, Voltergeist has a lot of utility options in hazards, pivoting, and trapping that it can run all on one set. It also has status immunity via Comatose.

If Yveltal and Raging Bolt had a love child, it might look like this.
Pokemon:Kagunawa
Origin:VGC 20xx Ability: Ancient Core(User's move category is based on gen 1-3's split approach. Fairy is physical. If new move category does not correspond to its original move category, boost move's base power by 20%.) Type:Dragon / Dark
Stats:
HP: 96
Attack: 66
Defense: 80
Special Attack: 132
Special Defense: 80
Speed: 96
BST: 550
Height: 5.6 m Weight: 92.1 kg Gender Ratio: 50.0% male, 50.0% female
Description: 1) Flavour
Kagunawa is based on a mythical dragon bakunawa from the Philippines. It's said to bring chaos and devour the moon. The name Kagunawa is composed of disorder and snake.
As for Ancient Core, it's meant to allude to Kagunawa's ancient nature. This is further underlined by the ability's effect, which is basically nostalgia as we no longer have a physical and special split system based on typing.
2) Competitive
A highly customizable swiss knife similar to Yveltal and Raging Bolt and greatly fitting on balanced and offensive teams.
a) lategame cleaner with Calm Mind, Scale Shot, and Sucker Punch
b) anti-offense tool with boosted Foul Play and Punishment. Former threatens special attackers while latter is good against physical attackers as they tend to have lower SpD than Def. Moreover, thanks to Ancient Core, Punishment uniquely dismantles Iron Defense + Body Press strats since it deals special damage.
c) wallbreaker
d) disruptor with tools like Glare, Haze or Switcheroo
