5th Gen PRNG Help / Info - Latest: RNG Reporter 9.96.5, PPRNG 1.15.0

Based on the OP and from what I've seen in this thread, it's almost as if it doesn't happen anymore, but my question is if NPC's still affect the RNG, and if they do, can I get a list of places that don't have anyone moving around (seems not as likely as this game is heavily populated with people and there's no VS Seeker).

NPCs affect the PID RNG which isn't possible to abuse on a non-Japanese cart yet. They don't affect the IV RNG.

Ok and if I'm correct, PID RNG is only for nature, ability and gender? So really I only worry about that when we can deal with Non C Gear correct?

I would like a confirmation on Victory Road: Are the encounter slots wrong? I tested some out and it seems to be wrong. I'll test some more out.

They are, but the wanted floors are accurate.

When I was putting in the location -> places, I was not aware that each room had a different encounter slot set. However, if you find the right room you can RNG Deino / whatever.

If you fly to the start of the ascent, it's in the first room.

I apparently hit my seed the second try. However, there was an issue. I'm not sure if leaving the C-Gear on affects the IV RNG, but I skipped the first 2 IVs. I had Ivs 3-8 instead of 1-6 for my spread.

*face palm* just remembered, C-Gear initial frame of 3. So that was supposed to happen. Alright, hit it again and advance so many times.

which is the minimum frame for eggs
and can anyone explain this
After you advanced the frame correctly, you may use the IV frame check code to see if you are at the right point.
Target – Monster – 624*n – C = 0
C =<624; n being an integer.
C is the value displayed with the IV frame check code.

C + Monster Frame = Target Frame
also after generating the seed list can anyone give a description of what to do for eggs

Minimum frame is 8 for eggs, 10 if you're using the C-Gear.

And don't worry about that equation. It's extremely complicated to use, and you can get great IVs on low frames just as easily without it.

Ok so I have my generated ivs on the reporter, so I have to pick one that is target frame 10 or more?
So I have the egg ready to receive, i.e next to the day care man, I hit my target time, I get the egg off him, then I have to do....?

Sorry if I'm sounding a bit thick here but this is my first time trying to RNG and it is a bit complicated :S

If you're just getting started on RNG'ing, I highly recommend that you learn
and practice in DPPt or HG/SS first. The advantage of that is that you
can verify which seed you hit by using the Coin Flip app (DPPt)
or by caling Professor Elm (HG/SS). After you're getting the hang of it,
you can try on B/W; what makes B/W harder for now is the fact that you
have no way to verify your seed.

My question:
Right now, we have control over the egg IV's with a C-Gear seed, but we
can't influence which IV's are getting passed down from which parent, right?
(Aside from breeding with Power Items, that is.)

I dont know how to find any seeds for my MAC Address (EDE751E50D4A)
Can somebody find some seeds - non C-Gear (with IVs 31/31/31/31/31/31, 31/x/31/31/31/31 and 31/31/31/x/31/31) I am playing White btw ( I dont know if that is needed)
Frame not higher than 150.

You may want to look at the rules for this forum first and foremost.

Next, non C-gear isn't possible for English games as of right now.

kk thanks and are the roamers released right when you beat the elite for the first time? I am trying to catch the Reshiram in Black so would the roamers have been activated yet?

I had an idea. does a pokemon's evolution advance the frame?
because, for example, if I have to advance the frame by 19 and I can't use the computer to do it, maybe I could carry with me a level 19 nincada and make it evolve with a rare candy after 5x128 steps with 3 pokemon in the party (nincada included). after nincada evolves, a shedinja will appear in the party and the pokemons will be 4, so making another 128 steps would make the frame advance by 4 reaching the target of 19.
sorry for the english but it's a bit difficult to write something so "complicated".

That... is actually a pretty damn clever idea. Adding a Pokemon to the party advances the IVRNG by 7, so if a person is in an area where they don't have the luxury of walking around or accessing a PC, they can evolve their Nincada and advance the frame by adding a Shedinja to the party.

I don't know about evolution itself, but we'll test it out and see what happens. Thanks for the tip!
