League of Legends: Let's Talk About uhhh??

Yeah I played a game with deathfire grasp/deathcap/lucidity boots soraka and she 2-0 MID lane against brand until she had to lane swap. Also is it just me or does sona hurts a lot more now

Soraka's pretty stupid atm.

QWQEQ, max R>Q>W>E. Build is Dorans, Dorans, boots, CDR boots, Spirit Visage, Deathcap, Rylai's, Abyssal, defense item.

Pretty insane farming. Never miss a CS, push waves hard, never really die, destroy enemy casters.

Hard countered by Miss Fortune but nobody runs MF mid anymore so yeah.
 
We're getting dangerously/hilariously close to being able to play using just the 5 main supports... you'd have to go double AP and give Soraka and Janna solos, which would be surprisingly OK, and keep Sona as the actual support... just kind of falls apart when you only have Alistar and Taric left and need some AD desperately and a Jungler. Both of them capable of clearing it, but man... need some Taric damage buffs or something and I'll get back to this(though I play AD Alistar when games are getting gimmicky and he's still kinda okay). At least everyone would be basically immortal, and the -MR from Soraka would help out with the fact the supports are mostly magic based. They'd push lanes like pros late in the game, which would be kinda funny at least.



Also I hit 30 about a week ago and finally played my first games of solo queue... I think playing my unrankeds exclusively in groups of at least 3 from the moment I started until now kind of misled me about the average player: holy fucking shit the people at low ELO solo are bad compared to what i'm used to. I leveled almost exclusively support so things are kinda tricky in solo at this level(I wish I had more experience as a carry) but it's funny to see how decent I seem by comparison. I just need to remember not to pick Sona because her back is too slender and fragile to carry bads.

It's just scary how dumb people are though. Like I started learning jungling like two days ago just to mess around in unranked, so I have little idea what i'm doing there, but man even i can tell the things people do at entry level ELOs in that position are so frighteningly silly... like just running straight at a pushed lane from the tower as opposed to, you know, circling around BEHIND them. It's so entertaining...
 
We need to have some kind of Smogon 5s team and just screw around at some point.


Anyway, regarding 5 support (even though it was used during Dreamhack):

Soraka and Janna can be the duo AP. Put one top, put another one mid. Probably Janna mid since her tornado has an easier time clearing mid creeps than top creeps.

Soraka can build tanky AP like Rumble while Janna goes burst AP caster. Your bottom lane should be Sona+Taric, with Taric supporting and Sona building a Triforce oriented AD build focusing around her Q and maybe her E. Jungle Alistar actually isn't half bad and he'll provide the ganks.

OR YOU KNOW JUNGLE TARIC AND SMITE STEAL BARON AND GET ALL THE WOMEN

Playing solo queue is the best way to learn to carry, because you have to assume your partners are incompetent morons... so to win, not only do you have to win your lane, but your partner's lanes for them. You either carry or you lose.

I got my first 10 win streak in ranked though!!! A combination of playing Annie when she's unbanned and I'm first pick, and Anivia when she's not. Having played all the roles pretty extensively, I'm pretty confident that AP carry was the one I should be playing, as I've had by far the most success there.

And yes, Smogon 5-Man would be awesome. If anyone wants to play, my summoner name is Arguro.
 
After a modicum of ranked I am now at : 821. Who thinks I can get to 600 by tonight? I'm not losing on purpose, I'm just bad. XD

800s are pretty funny, though. We asked a Teemo on our team to stop overextending and feeding Akali and he responds by muting us.
 
I'm honestly wondering, is it like a rule that any Teemo on your team is an tower-diving feeder, while any Teemo on the other team is a master farmer carry? Because that seems to be how it is 90% of the time


Also, I'd just like to check how many smogonites are level 30s
 
level 29 who got bored of playing bots and is terrified of playing people (relevant, saw this for the first time the other day)

though I'm looking to start playing again, possibly on an alt because I'm a tad rusty
 
level 30 unranked with 225 wins, I'll be happy to play the offtank/tank role if we ever decide to set up a 5s team. I try to stay away from carries since that's all that everyone plays
 
Level 30.

I've discovered my intended purpose is to tank at anything above a 1200 elo level. Either that or sub-carry. If I play a support, I fail miserably and just feed.

I think I'm gonna create an alt at some point and basically re-learn the game playing carries only.
 
Very interesting. Renosaur and valk both play tank/support and I typically tank jungle because EVERYONE CARRIES but at this rate we won't have enough carries to play.

Although personally I play a pretty strong Corki, Caitlyn, Annie, and Orianna. My Anivia is decent as well.

Well currently I'm trying to learn Tanky DPS, but at the moment I'm not up to par. I can pubsmash a slightly lower elo with Jax, but at a higher one I fail miserably.
 
I'm level 30. I'm a support specialist, but I can also play ranged AD and casters well. My mains are Sona, Soraka, Nidalee, Urgot, Karthus, and Malazahar, with Singed and Blitzcrank for 3s.
 
im level 23 and i play Nasus and now Veigar. I "play" annie and rammus too, but i dont like annie fsr and i cant jungle good enough yet to use rammus well.

might lern 2 be WIN NAO soon
 
I'm only level 14 :(

I'm playing Warwick a lot right now. Started off with Amumu and loved him. Loved Galio when he was free as well. Played a few games with Singed who I like. I guess I like Tanks and Warwick.
 
I'm level 30 as well. I usually play AP casters. I'm good at Malzahar, Orianna, Annie and Lux. I wanna start doing junglers but I need runes. Also I like to play tanky characters like Skarner and Mordekaiser. One week when Morde was free I had so much fun with him!
 
Messing with Urgot is super fun right now. There is nothing more satisfying than body switching someone into your turret, or abusing the lock on from his E Q combo to fuck over somebody who thinks they escaped safely.
