You would want to use Iron Ball because it will lower your speed. Lagging Tail however doesn't lower speed, i think it just makes your poke go last when it moves.
What is everyone's methodology toward team building?
Do you just throw random stuff together and test it, or start with a couple that you know will work well and go from there, etc.
I'm asking because I'm still having trouble building any successful team. There are too many options and not enough slots on the team.
Any help would be great.

For me, normally when testing for new strategies, I just throw together something based on one or two Pokemon that look interesting, and that I want on the team. If it looks like the team strategy has some promise, I go ahead with trying to refine the team. When trying to refine the team, I try to make sure when a Pokemon is replaced, that the new Pokemon fixed some team weaknesses while maintaining the function that the old Pokemon had. Either that make sure that someone else on the team can fill in the gaps.

I usually pick a playstyle(ex:sandstorm), and try to cover as many weaknesses as possible while having great switch in synergy.
For Example: Tyranitar works well with amoonguss. With just 1 rage powder half of ttars weaknesses are removed, and have something amoonguss can get switched out to like something that resist psychic and fire(latios). And continue on from there. Though I love to switch out.

I generally start with either a team style (TR, rain, whatever) or a two-Pokémon core, then build the team around supporting that concept and countering potential threats.
If you use role play on a pokemon who had previously used role play, would you copy that pokemon's original ability or the ability it copied?
I've always wondered when deciding snorlax over blissey/chansey. I mean Snorlax can tank special attacks and Still do dmg. It also has a below average def but better than the two mentioned. Blissey well autowins vs special attackers but can't deal with physical attackers as well as barely doing dmg. If you had to chose between the two who would you chose.(teams goodstuff not trickroom)
Snorlax, because Blissey's usual role as a supporter is outclassed by other stuff, two opponents at once means you're much more likely to be hit with a physical attack, and doing damage is important.
Snorlax, because being too reliant on Blissey will get you killed by the timer and subsequent tiebreaker.
I too made a pretty well build mixed team, however it had a slightly different makeup of speed. I've had the most success with Goodstuffs however it's really personal preference. I would test out both and whichever one you play the best you should use. You still have time to be indecisive.
There's no "best kind of team." Weather and goodstuff are both good strategies. How good a team is really depends on the specific makeup of the team and the player that is playing it. One type of team isn't inherently better than the other.
Would a Trick Room Chandelure be a good idea? I know most VGC Chandelure carry TR to counteract TR teams, but is it good to raise a Chandelure that is a TR set-upper opposingly?
Yes. I used a TR Chandelure at regionals and it helped me a lot in my battles. A set with Trick Room/Heat Wave/Shadow Ball/Protect is what I would recommend.
Hey, I had a quick question to ask to you guys. Before I forget to tell you, please don't take my question in a wrong way. So, I was in the GTS to trade with my friend because whenever we talked to each other on the wifi room, it wouldn't say anything. We thought the GTS would be ok. We went in and I deposited my pokemon. My friend was going to send me his Emboar for my Boldore so he would evolve. So, I put in Boldore and then left the GTS. My friend and I waited 10-20 minutes just so my pokemon would show up. He went in and said he couldn't find it. I then go back in and see that I got a Japanese Emboar that wasn't his. I had to go somewhere that night so I couldn't look at Emboar's stats. I look at this new Emboar's stats after a few days(I had school so I didn't have time) and I see they are odd and his ability was Prankster. An Emboar can never have the Prankster ability. I quickly release the Emboar. But, the thing is I will be using this game (White) at regionals. The question is, will I be disqualified from the tournament when I go through hack check? As in will they say that I had a hacked pokemon in my game at some random time. Thanks! (sorry for the length)
